Very slow to reconnect – Very slow, to or not, reconnect to the internet after hours or reset. Seemed to be okay at first, but now takes ages to reconnect or turn off multiple times to attempt to reconnect. Now disappointed with this device. Months later (March - April 2025). Have to keep turning it off daily, once, twice three times, to reset so all online services work again. What a pice of expensive junk being junked at the rubbish tip. Since been replaced.

Try accessing the routers firmware – Using Mozilla to access 192.168.0.1 is very hit and miss, and mostly miss. Almost nothing but security exceptions and invalid certificates. No better with the latest 01.0.19 firmware upgrade. Show details

Buyer Beware!!! – I bought this modem second hand as it seemed like a good purchase considering the name and the price. But here lies the problem... This modem uses ancient technology that is going out of date fast and is nowhere near the standard of a modern modem considering the $200-300 price point brand new. The antennas are only 3Dbi which is not nearly good… Read more

enough for this amount of money as that is only a slight improvement on a base model dongle, The 4 ethernet points at the back are using the old slow type not the new gigabyte type seen on almost all modern modems and D-Link has not support this modem in their smart phone app. There is also a problem with managing the NAT type and connecting this device to gaming consoles which is not simple and the UpNP is very difficult to set up with an XBox. Avoid this modem and look for something that has better specs and support considering the hours I have spent trying to learn how to set this modem up for gaming.

Mobile Broadband Router – I had slow broadband in my house, so I needed to find something else. Wireless broadband was not in my area either, so I had to find a router that could use a mobile SIM card. I have been using this router for a while now to access Mobile broadband. I have tried the pocket mobile wifi devices which are really small and portable, but they could… Read more

never cover the distance like this router can around my two storey house. It is just like a normal router except you are not plugged into a ethernet cable, but rather just the power line with a sim card in the router. It did take a while to find where the optimal place to put this router, which was dependent on where the strongest signal strength was to access the mobile towers.

I now have much faster internet speeds of around 10-30 Mbps instead of the less than 1Mbps I had previously. This device looks pretty much like a normal router with two antennas sticking out. I would recommend this D-Link router to anyone considering connecting with a SIM card to a mobile broadband.

Reliable – I like the fact that it supports most network SIM. However, I can not also use it as an ADSL modem. The wireless speed is only up to 802.11n even though the signal is quite strong with its huge attenna. I prefer router that can be tuck away to save spaces but the router does not come with mounting brackets have to improvise.  Show details
