Great unit – This unit has been very good These work , though they cant remove noxious gases they get rid of dust and smells. Had a small other brand version once in a hotel get rid of stale odours when I complained about the room to management. They brought in a UV light version which dealt with it. After that little thing did such a good job, I looked into them more.

After that I got one to help my new baby with dust/dirt. Most air purifyers come with several stages to clean the air, Many are equipped with a negative ion generator. All of the process in air purfication such as pre-filters, ionising grids, photocatalytic cells, antibacterial filters, UV and negative ion seem like a lot of nonsense to the average person. However , whatever brand you buy, it will work ok. I got this model , but there have been newer ones since my purchase.

The way they work is that when you leave them running in a room such a bedroom you come in and you notice the difference after a while, Units equipped with negative ion generators make you feel a bit better. look it up on the internet for yourself.

They are designed to compliment room air condiitoning but work just as well stand alone.

I can say with all honesty that these are the best when used at night time for sleeping.

I still have this model, it works fine and maintenance is very low/minimal

Good – After a week with the Daikin air Purifier I am very satisfied with the quality of air it produces, and the ease of cleaning. The main downside is a lack of warrenty on the item, but this can normally be worked out with who you purchased the item from. All in all a good buy for the highest quality air, if you can afford it. Ease of cleaning Multiple filters Ease of use Size Lack of warrenty Price

Excellent – I like that it comes with 7 years worth of filters (1 per year) and that the entire assembly is easy to clean. You can tell it works well because it gets dirty really quickly and needs a clean fortnightly. Our is in our sons rooms near the floor. It has a child lock for those tempting buttons and is really quiet while he is sleeping. He coughs much less at night with the air purifier so it must be helping. It was worth the money and I would buy it again for sure. Pity it is so ugly! Easy to clean, quiet, effective.

My husband suffers from chronic hayfever and at night cannot breathe through his nose. Will the Daikin air purifier help?

Excellent – The instuction Manual is very good. Two of the filters have to be fitted once we got the unit home. It also comes with 7 years supply of additional pleated filters. My wife suffers from asthma and after the first night of it running in our bedroom, she noticed a maked improvement in her breathing ability. We transfered it to our daughter's room, when she had a cold, and she remarked on how better she had slept. In 'Night Quiet' fan mode it is unbeleivably quiet. The discharge air is nice and 'crisp'.

Very light weight.
