Mini 0806 Questions & Answers

I have had the mini 0806 dash cam on my windscreen for several years now, in Brisbane, and it has not melted yet(!) and delivered good images day and night, but recently stopped working and seems to be dead, unless I connect it to a power source, like my computer. Could it be that the internal batter, if there is one, has reached the end of its life? Perhaps I should buy a new camera? Any advice please.
