David's Phone Shop

Scam company selling fake goods and no refunds – As with others on this site, I can say that Davids Phone Shop is a scam. Ordered on their website for a 'genuine brand new Sony PS4 controller' only to be sent a faulty one. Their initial customer service is good and prompt, asking for a return (to Beijing, even though they claim they're a US company!) and stating they will fully refund the price… Read more
AND return postage, but this is clearly a ploy to get you to send items back to them, which they then claim they have never received even if sent tracked and signed for. No doubt they then resell the faulty controller to the next unsuspecting victim.
Avoid at all costs!!!
Fake products – This company needs to be shut down. The merchandise is a knock-off. Sold as new was used and not the item I ordered. Also the invoice says one price and I was charged more money on my credit card.
Counterfeit goods – Sold me fake ps4 controllers. Dodgy batteries etc. Took them apart to confirm. Avoid at all costs - absolutely a scam.
Didnt deliver product – Stay away, this business should be shutdown. Ordered a controller which wasnt delivered. Gave me a fake tracking code which couldnt be tracked. Customer service is deplorable. Tried to resolve issue, could not get a response from them.
Fake ps4 controls – I bought a control for 73 AUD, similar as previous person, figured it was so close to retail it must be legit. Anyway it arrived, straight away it was fake/damaged/used. I took photos of it and compared it to two legitimate controls, sent the photos to them and said this is fake, they asked me to post it back to california. I did this, for a full … Read more
refund, with tracking. Anyway, after it was flagged as delivered i asked for my refund, they'll try and say they havent received it. Then they'll say "we'll refund you in 7 days" its all lies. In the end i just did a charge back and got my money back. dont buy from this store, they are scammers
Selling counterfeits as real – The PlayStation 3 controller they shipped me was a fake sold as if it was official. I did some googling before buying and didn't come across any buyer reviews of the site. While worried, I figured that the controller was not THAT much cheaper than full retail, so the chances of it being one of the $13 fakes you can get on ebay seemed low. (I… Read more
know, 20-20 in hindsight)
At first glance it looked fine. On closer inspection I found that the plastic and build quality is cheap. Furthermore, the analogues don't work properly and after some searching I found that packaging I received (While convincing with Sony/ PlayStation trademarks and all, is missing small icons and fine print which the official product should have.
The images on their site actually display all the right info. In other words: The item they shipped to me was not the same as the genuine one they had pictured in the listing. The listing is also deceptive stating "original Sony controller" and that "David's Phone Shop sells only Brand New Products from the original manufactures"
All lies. Since requesting a refund they have not gotten back to me as to whether they will accept an opened product, sending me the same email twice asking that I send the item back 'in original status'. They have also supplied me with a address that's different for their (supposed) US based store location and different as well from the Singapore address they actually shipped from.
Some further searches have found that this is not the first report of a fake product sold as if it were the real thing from David's phone shop. It's also not the first time the returns address has varied from the real address. In the last case the customer, apparently, never got a refund because the item 'never arrived' back at David's Phone Shop, most likely because of the postal differences. I will, however, be trying to make this report easier to find than the others so that people can find it easily and not make the same mistake.
