Terrible – We investigated building a small home with Davis homes. They started asking me how much money I have in bank etc...(felt like i was interrogated). There designs were not great but price was high. Also, there was not information like inclusion lists etc.. We tried hard to ask but in vain... Finally we decided another builder.. A sense of ripoff, cunning sales mans, small house for big prices,

Terrible – I would not recommend Davis Homes (NSW) to anyone, if you have 2 years to waste then go for it. If you work for them your house will be built in the quickest time possible without any delays, but if you dont, you will have limited communications, any offer they give you make sure you have it writing, they are quick to forget, the paper work and contracts are regularly misplaced, so keep your copies, when it suits them they will hide behind the contract, but when you want or need info from them be prepared for excuse after excuse, on their contracts be careful they will forget to give a copy to you and your lender, they will glue new pages over the top and remove them at a later date, dont allow them to set dates , have your lawyer go over the contract and include an escape clause I guess I would have to be fair but in reality there are no real pros I can write about Davis Homes Extremely slow, thus far it has taken 18months to have the slab layed, customer service is only available when you are handing over a cheque, or they are chasing money, yes they have many internal issues, their financial situation is not the best considering they like to inform the client of their 5 star rating, the construction wing of the company is the worst of their department, the other departments are not much better

Terrible – If you want to waste your money, time & screw up you joy of your life get your house built with Davis homes. There is no pros as all. They are not professional at all. They asked us to pay few AUD$k to build our tender (generally other builders charge $500). We paid some money to them to get the tender and the tender they gave us was much higher than what they had represented to us. So we didn’t sign any contract and request Davis home to refund our money back. Davis home straight away refused to refund, so we went to the ‘Consumer Tribunal’ and eventually got the money back. Finally we got our house built with Clarendon Homes (so glad). My friend who got his house built with Davis homes had a worst experience as well. He gave all the money that Davis Homes asked for and still Davis Homes didn’t initiate to build at all. So he did fight with them and eventually Davis homes assigned another builder to build his house.

Terrible – I wouldnt recommend anyone to build, but this is nearly impossible as peope build everyday. my best suggestion would be to do alot of research before drowning yourself into something that you can neither leave nor progress. Be well aware of a lot of fees and variations that you may have never budgeted for. IF YOU WANT TO HAVE GOOD NIGHT SLEEPS DO NOT BUILD Sounded very flexible at the very begining and promising to meet our budget very very slow progress overall, very bad customer service and poor communication. always bringing their internal issues to clients ie lack of trade people to do the job or moving to a new office which absolutley unbeleivable. dealing with builders is the biggest nightmare we have. our stress level has jumped so high that cant be described. it has been months that we signed contract and our slab was poured towards end last year. we have had no prrogress since then and not sure how they will finish the job if they ever do
