Elevate skin clinic – Scam artists !! BEWARE. I was approached by a young girl for a free facial - I was told that they ere trying to promote their business and most of their business is word of mouth. So I went. Firstly they wanted 10 of my friends name and I would get some $90 cream in exchange. They became annoyed when I replied that I didn't know ten people as in… Read more

need to get their consent before providing their numbers. I then took the skin test - I had everything wrong with me. ...Scarring. Sun damage and wrinkles and acne..you name it . After the depressing skin test and telling me that my face about literally about to fall off I had my facial. It wasn't relaxing. It wasn't enjoyable. more stressful than anything. After it was done i was offered a $2000 package and suggested to be put on a 12

Month plan. When I said I'll get back to them they then were increasing annoyed I almost felt that they were not going to let me leave unless I bought something . They then asked me what my budget was and that I could start on a loweR plan. I then declined and asked for a phamplet for this detail And they said they don't have this on paper as it's a promotional deal. Weird. I then declined their $200 facial cream offer . As I got up to left I thought the lady was going to yell at me. She stormed out of the room and I walked out only to see she was whispering to the receptionist. They both ignored me and I left. It's scary that a place operates like this. Perhaps if I caked on as much make as they did my skin would look perfect. There is nothing wrong with some imperfections and I

Hope the ACC takes them down. Scary that they operate a business by bullying thete customers into

Purchasing there products. Clearly it doesn't work

Shocking customer service - nobody answers the phone or returns your phone call – I received a free facial and skin analysis. Then I was talked into purchasing around $2,000 worth of skin care products as well as a package of 3 facials and 2 skin analyses. Yes, I'm an absolute sucker and I'm embarrassed by my gullibility. However, I'm really disappointed that they have failed to deliver on their product. I have received… Read more

only one of the facials, and neither of the skin analyses. When I have tried to contact them to reschedule my appointments, nobody answers the phone. I have left voicemails, and nobody ever calls you back. I have also sent SMS's, but never receive a response. I'm really angry, because they are still debiting me $280 each month.

I Found The Experience Great – I just had a free facial yesterday and I found the experience to be great. The products in my opinion were excellent and my skin actually glowed afterwards. Sure there was hard selling tactics used but that was to be expected. I knew there would be so I wasn't too fussed. Nothing for Nothing. The staff were only doing their job in my opinion.… Read more

Anyway the sales pitch didn't work on me as everything was way too expensive. If the products were reasonably priced I would have had no hesitation in buying a product or two or maybe even three.

Great Experience and Product – Received a phone call for a complimentary facial as part of Deaura's first year anniversary promotion and really enjoyed the whole experience. Not sure what the scam is, I was offered the chance to try a product for free before I was taken through the perfect package for my skin. Don't be fooled – These girls (I say that because they are young) are professionally trained to take your money & get at least 10 of your friends details as soon as you walk in the door in exchange for a hand cream. They call all of your friends immediately to schedule them in asap! The whole experience is awful. I regret handing out names up front before I had a… Read more

chance to put two and two together this business is a joke, so embarrassed! I contacted my friends immediately & said BEWARE! They pressure you into believing your skin is really bad from the minute you sit down for a "consultation". The whole thing dragged out longer than the 90 mins stated. The beautician kept disappearing, & she was so unprofessional in her manner. I left feeling deflated that my skin is crap (& it isn't) & pressured into handing over 1k as a deposit. Nothing relaxing about my "free" facial which was all up 15 mins of the 2 hours I felt trapped there. All they are interested in is sell sell sell. Their name isn't even on the sign of the building. If they get a deposit from you call your credit card company immediately & cancel your card & quote this weblink to be refunded.

Selling in Brisbane CBD – Went to an appointment in Anzac square Brisbane to a place called elivate on 01.09.2016 They promised they wouldn't pressure me to buy.. Two hours later I walked out and didn't buy but they pressured me so much!. Just saw all the reviews saying that deaura has gone bust, so now I'm confused

Terrible – I have had the same experience as all below. Hard sell, part of the package was follow-up treatments plus I was given two gift vouchers for free treatments. I am still paying for the products and my skin is the worst it has been. Phone disconnected & website gone.

DeAura Spa Clinic has disappeared without a Trace! – I am also still paying for products that I purchased one year ago and have tried to contact them for follow up Spa treatments yet all their business details have been cancelled. Phones don't work, no website, no access to the building. This company needs to be reported!

Terrible – I went in November last year. The staff that gave the facial was lovely, even though after that it was all hard sell. I had stated at the outset that if there was to be a hard sell push at the end then I would decline the treatment before going in and just leave. I was guaranteed that there was no hard sell (Crap). A lot of pressure was put on and… Read more

I eventually agreed to the smallest package they offered. My appointment was cancelled by them saying the practitioner had to go overseas unexpectedly and they would call again to reschedule. I have tried to call several times but now see from these reviews why I am unable to get through to them. Not surprised they are in liquidation and would happily support anyone wanting to take action against them through the Department of fair traiding.

Company just after your money! – After a late night, pressured hard selling I succumbed to buying the product. The next day I went back, realizing I can't afford $2500 but was told, too late. Left with a horrible feeling I could not bring myself to even open the package, I am still paying for! With the purchase you are meant to get following consultations, which De Aura has cancelled without organizing another appointment. They are only out to get your money!

Hard sell scammers – Don't even think about wasting 1.5 hours on a facial with them - you will be sold to every step of the way, by a tag team of 'beauticians'. Minimum spend $3100. Scam – I totally agree with the other review. This was NOT a facial - it was a product demo which they did on one half of my face first so that I could compare the effects - thus it took ages. The whole process is manipulative and hard core sales - even the stories the sweet French beautician told all lent toward leaving one with a message of why one should buy their product

The funny thing is that I actually believe their product is quite good and may have considered buying a few of them if I didn't feel so tricked and manipulated

The beautician was very sweet and meant no harm but it felt like she too had been spent into the web of 'Amway' type hype

Absolutely Awful! Don't waste your time going for the FREE facial! – If you see glowing reviews about this company, don't trust that review. No one in their right mind would give them praise. Such good products, already see a difference! – I had such a great experience at DeAura, the service was good and my beautician spoke with me about everything and recommended these fabulous products, my facial was lovely and my skin looked and felt so soft. DeAura scam – I was pestered by DeAura. I didn't know where they got my name from. Basically it is a very hard sell, luring you in with a free facial. You get put into a very uncomfortable position half way through the `facial' where a very aggressive salesperson tries to up sell their very expensive beauty regime. They talk at you all the time and it is a very unpleasant experience. My advice is don't go.

It's a scam!! – The worst marketing tactic ever!! They just want you to commit to their crazy plan. $3500 and you can choose a payment plan that suit you. None of it makes sense. If you don't want the skin care plan, they try to push you to buy the hair or body treatment. And the free facial that they promise is a waste of time. It's not done properly and you don't feel being pampered at all. You just want to get out from there as soon as you can!!

Ended up becoming a client :) – When i got a call about the promotion i was dubious but when i arrived i was surprised at how glamorous and pretty it is even the receptionnist offered me an iced tea and a cookie! The treatment was luxurious and i signed up for a year of care AND unlike other clinics offering gold products the staff helped me sign up for a payment agreement! Affordable, cheerful pampering. they won't give a manager's name, or take me off their call list.

I can see their strategy is one of very high pressure sales , and they are trying to commit you to a $3000 package of complete and utter rubbish that bleeds you dry of cash.

I tried to write a review on word of mouth (womo) but of course that never got into their system because bad reviews are blocked!

Extremely unhappy....be careful – I have never written a review before but feel compelled to write this This is not a 'facial' as one might expect...it is merely an introduction to products incorporating aggressive marketing. Just before I went for my 'free facial' I decided it was unethical of me to accept it as I wasn't in a position to buy anything and so I rang to cancel… Read more

but was assured I was under no obligation to buy and they would be happy just for me to recommend to others if I liked the products and all they asked for was a donation of a toy for the children's hospital.

I thought this was reasonable and the toy donation was very kind of them and so I went.

BEFORE I even had what I thought was going to be a relaxing facial and if i knew if i liked the product I was asked for 30 names of friends from my mobile phone to also receive this 'free facial' - luckily for me I had left my phone in the car but the beautician initially didn't believe me and looked into my bag to check.......some alarm bells rang then!

Initially, half my face had products applied and I was asked to watch in a mirror while this was being done. After this a customer representative came into the room and proceeded to write down on a pad a special first time offer of a little below the total range cost of around $3,500!

I explained I had called and wasn't in a position to buy any products but I might consider in the future if I really liked them - I was then given 6 different payment options with various deposits and monthly payments and after each offer I thanked her but explained my situation again.

I would have felt very vulnerable if I had not rung initially and couldn't believe this aggressive marketing whilst locked in a room with the beautician and company representative who did not take 'no' for an answer.

I was eventually asked what I thought would be fair price to pay ...I couldnt believe it! The company representative then left the room requesting me to 'think' about it while the beautician took 5 minutes to apply products to the other half of my face!! The beautician felt she might be able to get permission to sell me just one product....this was offered twice....each time I said no. I gave the donation of the toy which strangely the beautician had not heard of.

After my experience I rang and spoke with the customer services manager and it appeared she was not prepared to take on board my concerns that in my opinion the word 'facial' was misrepresented, the request of 30 friends names BEFORE one had experienced the 'facial' and the marketing felt aggressive and unethical. I felt intimidated through this marketing experience of a VERY expensive product where saying 'no' wasn't taken into account until after 6 payment proposals had been offered.

I am of the opinion that someone more vulnerable may feel trapped into signing up for something they could not afford.

If this product is so good (only 1 range fits all skin types) people would spread the word and aggressive marketing would not be needed.

The whole experience disillusioned me and sadly elicited a very negative response to this brand DeAura....I have written this so people have a more accurate account of the 'free facial' and what 'under no obligation to buy' means...you don't have to buy anything but in my opinion they certainly try to get you to do so in a very aggressive, intimidating manner!!

A complete & utter waste of my time – The biggest waste of my time. We had got a colleague a treatment at DeAura as a gift (I'm now absolutely horrified that we did this). to drag it out & only had about 20 minutes treatment. I was told I would have face 1/2 face done & then someone would come in & talk to me. I had already been there for one hour so said no, don't bother. Told, OK that wont happen but what did was beyond ridiculous. She did half my face making me look from time to time in a mirror at what she was doing & then got me up to show me my face & then did 2nd half my face - unbelievable.

Before you going responding to this DeAura, don't bother blaming this on poor staff as you did in one of the other reviews, I'm in no doubt the person was only doing what she is directed to do. Im am 54 years of age, I know exactly what a facial is, having had a number of them over the years. Absolute basics would have to be to do the whole face at the one time. And secondly, dont talk to the person or ask them questions. I, like one the other reviewers, have never done a review before. So DeAura, if you had just done a proper facial, we (all the people I work with, all my friends, all the people they know, etc) might have got this treatment for others as present, but of course all these people are now telling people what they know, & so on, about my experience.
