Amateur – I have Submitted a claim approximately a month ago. I believe you use Allianze as your underwriter. I can assure you that, after many years of using you. You only ever find out how good the service is until you make a claim. I certainly won't be using you again, ever. Maybe you should ask Allianze how many hoops there to jump through. Used to be fantastic, now not so – Defence Health Travel Insurance used to be the best provider on the market by far. We are very frequent travellers who have used this product travelling to over 100 countries, only ever having claimed 4 times in 20 years. pandemics, despite having booked everything six months prior to any of this coming out. Are covered if Defence says you can’t go provided it doesn’t clash with any other of their many exemptions. Excess eliminator is good. After months of back and forward with Allianz they paid out part of the claim, only to pay out the full amount 6 months later when an internal review they had acted improperly/unlawfully in their decision. Overall, Ok. I used to rave about it but now it’s no different to most others.
