Have used Fastcover 3 times in the last few years to cover overseas horse riding trips. Don't know how they do it, but I like it. I was able to purchase 8 days travel Insurance for my wife and I, taking a Trip A Deal holiday to South Korea from Sydney, for just over $100.....for the both of us. This is fantastic value. helpful, knowledgeable and considerate re our current claim and we feel reassured that this is almost at settlement date. This is a very efficient and effective service that I would highly recommend to anyone who may have health issues, previous or accident related, and who may be in the 'seniors' category as well as families and singles.
Follow-up · FastCover completed their investigation re our claim and they paid all monies, as per our perception and expectation. I recently returned from a holiday in Turkey. On my return I made a claim for some lost prescription sunglasses. I had top comprehensive cover. Apparently there is depreciation on sunglasses, so with that and an excess of $100 I received nothing.… Read more
What a scam! In ten years I have never made a travel claim. For the sake of a denied $300, claim they will never receive my $800 premium again. Doesn’t make business sense to me. What if it was a major claim? I can’t trust them.
Follow-up · The insurance company, after I contested the decision, decided to give me $200. Too late, I won't insure with them again. If you can't say yes to a claim straight away, you don't have my loyalty!

importantly they did not make and already stressful situation worse by requesting onerous amounts of information, like most insurance do!
I had natural disaster claim from my family’s holiday in the Whitsundays over January 2026. We were inundated with cyclonic rain and wind and decided to leave the island for safety. There were some complicated aspects to my claim and Fast Cover were very understanding of my position. They treated me like a customer. Not an imposition.
Upon my return I lodged a claim for loss and immediately I knew this was going to be straight forward, no nonsense resolution.
There was constant contact form the loss assessor, updates on the claim (which was resolved in days, not weeks) and once the detailed assessment letter arrived in my inbox and settlement was agreed, the money was in my account the next day.
It was a seamless and fair experience. I will be using them next time.
I would strongly caution anyone considering Fast Cover Travel Insurance to read the fine print very carefully before purchasing a policy. My mother, aged 86 and in excellent health at the time I booked our holiday, became seriously ill and was later diagnosed with a terminal condition shortly before our planned departure. husband and I had no choice but to cancel our trip.
Regrettably, Fast Cover declined to cover any of our cancellation expenses, resulting in a personal loss of $25,000. The response we received lacked empathy or understanding and instead reflected a rigid application of policy terms without consideration for our circumstances.
Since then, I have learned that friends insured with 1Cover Travel Insurance faced similar situations but experienced no difficulty in having their claims approved.
It is deeply disappointing that a company in the business of providing support during unforeseen and distressing times could demonstrate so little compassion. I sincerely hope Fast Cover reflects on how it handles claims from families dealing with terminal illness in the future.

The Policy specifically aimed at seniors . In my opinion it is NOT suitable for males over 60 years. representatives scoffing down the phone and laughing at customers because they are old and don't know how to email a photo is appropriate how? I found the website very helpful. I did have a trouble trying to send the Quote but I think have been me (user error).
