Easy claim process
I use Fast Cover Travel Insurance for all my trips because the value of money is good. I have not claimed anything until my last trip to Bali. I claimed for a damaged luggage and the claim process was very easy and hassle-free.
Do not use this company!
I had a policy with full unlimited medical coverage and injured myself whilst on a trip to the US. I needed surgery to fix a broken bone but fast cover wouldn't cover it because it was "too expensive". They left me waiting in hospital for several hours in agony while I waited for a response from them. They said unless the injury is life threatening they do not cover medical expenses! They then said they would try to find a cheaper hospital to do the surgery but would take at least 24 hours till they could get prices at different hospitals. I was in a regional area 3 hours from any other hospital I was by myself and had no one to help me out or any way of travelling to a different hospital so had no choice but to fly home. They were terrible to deal with and were so slow at responding. I was on a plane halfway home before they even tried to arrange an upgrade for my flight. Absolutely hopeless!
Simple, Value for Money and Great Claims Experience
I decided on Fast Cover after a limited online search. The application process was simple and appeared to offer good value for money. We had only had our policy for little over a month when we needed to make a claim. Making a claim was very simple and we had our claim paid into our bank account in less than one week.
So glad I bought Travel Insurance with these guys. Quick, easy claim lodgement online with follow up emails. No hassle.
Easiest of all I looked into to set up policy (able to select different regions/continents). Lost my passport and was easy to submit claim, with quick responses provided. Thank you!
Fast Cover the best
Right front the start of our online to phone contact they could not be.more helpful. They responds back with several enquiries we had about our car hire in USA including motorbike hire.
Great value travel insurance and simple claims process.
I purchased travel insurance with Fast Cover because it was great value and also the company was very well reviewed. I unfortunately had to make a claim for a stolen mobile phone and found their staff to be very helpful and their online claims process straight forward. I’m very happy with the service I’ve received and I wouldn’t hesitate to use Fast Cover again in future.

Don't take into account 5 star reviews about the purchase process or price, that's what I did but my claims experience has been rubbish.
Was overseas in Thailand, my partner got extremely ill to the point she couldn't get out of bed. I contacted the '24/7' emergency medical team on a Good Friday and explained the situation and wanted to see if we could get her back early. She informed me that it was a public holiday and they would have to confirm that her acute condition was not a pre-existing medical condition and most GP's wouldn't be open until Tuesday so she could look into it and get back to me Tuesday. So yes they have someone answering the phones 24/7, they can't actually do most things outside of business hours. We were due to fly home Monday.... she actually KNEW this when she suggested getting back to me Tuesday. Then the case manager got in contact with me via email to say only 'acute' conditions were covered. Her medical report literally used the word 'acute' but I was informed she wasn't covered to come home early. He provided me details to lodge a claim for medical expenses.
Annoyed we waited it out through a pretty rough couple days (if not for my partner insisting I would have just paid for additional flights) then I come home, submit my medical documents using the email address provided by the Case Manager. Call them up after not hearing anything back for a few days and am told that it was the wrong email address.
Will never purchase with these guys again.
Can't travel withput it
My policy was extremely affordable and good value.Unfortunately i was unable to travel this time so the claim was easy.. Will not hesitate to use them again next opp time i travel.
Disappointing that a common occurrence is not covered. Would not use again.
**Attention, please read before you take out a cover so you're aware**
I am someone that has gone through the claim process for a very common claim, generally.
I had taken out a Comprehensive Policy (many times before) however, due to my misreadings I, unfortunately, fell into the trap of reading the positive reviews and having never gone through a claim.
After my experience I can now say that I will never buy a Fast Cover insurance again, as under their Trip Cancellation/Trip Delay section, they DO NOT cover "For Delays or reschedule by a bus line, airline, shipping line or rail authority unless it is due to a strike, riot, hijack, civil protest, severe weather or natural disaster." I had contacted emergency services to ask for advice and they said given the circumstances, I should submit a claim with a letter from the airline confirming the cancellation and inability from the airline to get me on another flight for another 5 days. When I had submitted my claim upon my return I was then told, that they wouldn't cover it, only when I said I was advised otherwise (provided proof) did they then do so.
This is a very general and common occurrence with airlines and I was deeply disappointed to find out that when my flights were cancelled by the airline with no rebooking for another 5 days I was left with no choice but to utilise my insurance and with the added stress. Added to that, my partner was using his default credit card insurance and was covered with no problems. A credit blanket insurance covered such a common occurrence vs the Fast Cover paid for Comprehensive Insurance. Shocking, really.
I have learned my lesson and will not be repurchasing the Fast Cover insurances ever again nor recommending it to anyone anymore. This is such a common occurrence that I would hope my insurance like MANY OTHERS do actually cover and give me peace of mind while overseas. I was always so focused on reading the medical side of insurances that I missed this and thought it was common practice.
I warn everyone that wants peace of mind to use another insurance company unless you are willing to accept that you are not covered.
TLDR: Fast Cover do not cover for Trip Cancellations or Delays by an airline (a very common occurrence) whereas default credit card insurances do, there are better insurance covers out there. Be warned.
*pro tip- also worth it to pay a little more to remove excess as that helps when it comes to these claim matters.
Peace of Mind
The policy met our couple's travel requirements, was easy to extend when we extended our travel plans across several countries and the claim process from abroad was thorough and fair.
I will continue to use Fast Cover
My policy was the best valu on offer. The claim seemed to take a while to sort out but in recent years I have only usd Fast Cover when Travelling specially when cruising.
Not worth the paper it's written on. My son was bitten by a dog in a 3rd world country requiring rabies injections both in the country we visited and when we got back amounting to approx $400 in costs, they exclude costs once you are back home even if it relates to the injury suffered whilst away and the excess is more than the rest of the costs. Useless.
Easy to take out insurance but not so easy to get paid for a medical claim
Taking out insurance with FastCover was easy and they offered great coverage compared to other insurance companies.
When I was overseas hiking I unfortunately got very bad altitude sickness and was medi vacced off the mountain I was climbing. The company who provided evacuation and all medical care has not heard from fast cover in over a month regarding reimbursement for their costs which is quite a lot. They have provided everything as requested to FastCover. I also am awaiting a related claim to be paid and found that the extra documentation required was over the top. Even with a receipt being provided by my travel company showing my tour costs, I also had to provide bank statements showing payment of my trip. Every time something new is requested your claim goes to the back of the line and you are told it’s another 10 business day before you will receive a response. My claim experience has not been good so far.
All easy. Just hope it's as easy if I need to make a claim!
I am well and active. I just hope that should anything go wrong and I need to make a claim, the ease and goodwill will remain the same. Being older means being penalised by insurance, always have to pay more.
Value for money
I am a first time user and was surprised at how many hoops I had to jump through when making a claim for stolen goods. The policy allowed a max claim up to $5000, but I did not realise that I had to show purchase receipts for every item I was claiming. This included receipts for goods that I received as presents and goods purchased many moons ago. In the end (after 6 months) my claim was honoured, even without the receipts, but it took a bit of convincing. This has been a learning curve for me and once again it all comes down to reading all the fine print. Next time I will make sure that I have documented all the items I am travelling with prior to departure. I assume all insurance companies have similar policies therefore, I would recommend Fast Cover for travel insurance, as my ignorance is no excuse and they did honour my claim in the end.
Have yet to go on our holiday but so far it seems to cover what we need.
Good value and easy to set up.
Not travelled yet so not had to lodge claim.
Will be easier to say more after we return from our holiday which won’t be for another two months

it was very simple to take out travel cover and the pricing was the best on the market at the time for premium cover but the best part was we actually did have a claim and they acted very fast and paid out the claim easily
Perfect Policy for Me
Good value and easy to set up. I have used it once before for travel so far I have not made a claim but all information received with the policy is very straightforward
The customer service was excellent, the operator who took my call was friendly (but not so friendly as to be over the top) and was very quick and efficient processing my insurance requirement. Confirmation of my insurance was received via email before I got off the phone to the operator.
