Just be honest and they will give a good price, the more often that you use them the better the deal that you get.
I am really impressed by the way they handled my claim and the speed of the reply and refund! Very easy to apply online to get coverage and to lodge a claim.

Easy to do online.

Easy coverage

I needed coverage for a short domestic cruise . I was delighted to find that 1 cover already listed/covered 30 something preexisting conditions. Such an easy transaction to get cover for my cruise. I had such peace of mind knowing I was covered.

India trip coming up

Every time I travel overseas my wife and I are covered by 1 cover. This time we are going to India with four other people. All of us are getting travel insurance through 1 Cover because of my recommendation. I would not go to India with out it because it gives us all great piece of mind that if some thing goes wrong we will be covered. Travel does not always go according to plan (I know that first hand) so when it doesn't you know you will be looked after by 1 Cover, It is worth every cent because there are no guarantees when travelling.

I bought insurance. I travelled. Nothing went wrong. I didn’t need to claim.

Insurance is a sunk cost, so go for the cheapest option with the most inclusions, read the fine print, and make sure you have every day of your journey covered including departure & return and take time differences & flight delays into account. To whom do I send my invoice for my valuable time competing this review? Possibly not kidding. xxxox

The policy was very cost effective and we had no problems. We have used this company on several occasions. We cannot rate a claim as we have not had to make a claim.

Don’t bother with 1 cover

Forget it don’t bother insuring with them, the price might be cheap but when it comes time to claim they will find some fine print that means they don’t have to pay out

Best insurance company for travel

I have used 1cover many times while travelling abroad and have never had to make a claim until this year where we scratched the hire car in a New Zealand car park , my claim amount was around $1100 to repair the scratch.
Making a claim was extremely easy, i was able to upload all information they had asked for in the claim requirement fields.After lodging my claim it took 1 day for 1cover to email telling me that the claim had been lodged, 5 days later i received an email saying they had assessed my claim and it had been approved, 2 days later the money was back in my account. What more could you want from an insurance company? The excess was reasonable too at only $200.
I highly recommend 1cover and will always use them for future trips.

excellent, fast claims and great service

Car rental fender bender, covered excess with no hassles (and claim processed in less than 48 hrs!). Also had skiing injury and they were very helpful while overseas. Processed that claim quickly too. Have used 1 cover for many years and will continue to.

Dodgiest insurance company I’ve ever been with

Company wouldn’t let me claim on delayed flights which cost me extra flights and accommodation plus the additional costs of food and taxis . I gave them every sustainable evidence with letters from every reliable source.

Rental Car Excess

I just came back from Germany and rented a VW POLO from Europcar. Went to the office ,they took my Credit Card and put a hold of $ 1380.- for the excess on it . Been told no damage on the car .Pick the car up in the dark outside the Airport. Two days later I noticed a very small Chip on the wind screen. After reading the Review of Europcar, got a shock !!!! ( was able to cancel my Card ) 20 Days later I returned the car 2.30 am and put the key in a safety box. Took a video off the car on drop off. I'm 100 % sure the tiny chip was there on pick up,but can't prove. I called 1Cover Insurance when I arrived back and a nice Lady put a note on my Policy ( don't worry she said ), just in case Europcar comes back to me ,in maybe 3 to 5 month ( read Reviews ) .My Excess is $ 200.- with 1 Cover and if I have to pay ,I pay, even I'm sure it was not my fault.

They really care

I was really sick on the day i was meant to travel but i had book three countries to visit so i still pursued my trip and stopped on two countries was sick for the third after submitting all documents they refunded everything that was needed might use them next time

Excellent claim handling and good value

We've used 1Cover many times, both for domestic travel as a cost effective way to manage rental car excesses and as an essential for overseas travel.
1Cover's claims process proved easy to use with good communication both by email and from the help line. The claim for cancellation the day before travel due to family emergency was settled very quickly and without fuss.
We have also found that 1Cover provides cover for pre-existing medical conditions without excessive premium increases.

My husband has a current Australian motor vehicle licence and also purchases a 1 year international licence.
