was great for 2 days – The fan was great on Sunday and Monday night I got a good sleep in the heat however tonight the fan won't turn off until you turn off the sock it moans and groans and slowly spins even though it is supposed to be off..low speed makes the same groaning sound the disappears in medium and high speed..will return to Harvey Norman tomorrow..hopefully just a bad one Show details
Good for 1 year only – It was a pretty good fan but it only lasted 1year 5 weeks before the motor went on it. Warranty is only 1year so Delonghi told me to go away. I got this fan because I was tired of the buying a $40 Bunnings fan every year when they stop working. Well this is the same you will need to replace it every year for $169 it should be better than that. Avoid buying this fan unless you a rich and don't care about throwing money away. Show details
Noisy sleeping – It looks good! It’s stable. Easy assemble. But bought it for bedroom understanding it would be quiet on sleep mode. It’s not. I need silicone earplugs to dull the noise but after a while I need to turn off. Awfully disappointed. Need to look carefully into another fan! Trish
Good, but didn't last long – Works fine, really good air flow A bit noisy when using 60 - 100% of the power Lights are really a problem, cannot be turn off or dimmed Functions \ modes are kind of useless Stopped working after 1 year and 2 months Never gonna buy it again, not worth Show details
I LOVE THIS FAN! – I thought my older remote control fan of a cheaper brand was great BUT this fan is fantastic. It blows the air out around 90% wide so it doesn't just cool directly in front of it! You can set the degree of the sweep from a small percentage to a full rotation and with the wide airstream you don't boil before the fans sweeping you again. The remote… Read more
allows you to direct the fan and use functions or set the timer as well as turn the fan on and off all from the comfort of your chair or bed. It is much quieter than most fans and I am going to buy another for my bedroom! As for the comment about the fan blowing hot air, a fan will only blow a little cooler than the room it's in. IF you want cold air buy an airconditioner! I use my fan in conjuction with my airconditioner and on sweep the fan helps to cool the whole house with doors to unused rooms closed! If you have access to a compressor which I do, cleaning is easily done by taking the fan outside and blowing the dust off. I use this method for all my fans and filters!
Good fan until it breaks – This fan is great, there's no denying that and I really liked it and would have recommended it until I found out that you can't buy spare parts for it. It will inevitably get dusty and need a clean and in doing so one of the blades snapped trying to remove it off the shaft. They are stiff and have no flex to them and are very brittle. break one there are no replacement parts available meaning you have a $170 paper weight.
You've been warned. Be extremely careful with the blades or you will be bitterly disappointed in the outcome.
DeLonghi 360 Degree Pedestal Cooling Fan – The best features of this fan is the timer (1,2, 4 & 8 hours ), relatively quiet and the modern pedestal fan design. It is expensive ($169) compared to a $30 fan from the supermarket however not so in comparison to the Dyson ($469). Haven't found a $30 brand new fan that comes with these features & design from Delonghi. After installing it myself… Read more
(20 minutes max ) I'm happy with my Delonghi fan. There wasn't anything wrong with my old cheap $30 fan however it didn't have a timer and neither the horizontal oscillation adjust angle option. Delonghi makes tower fans as well and I chose the pedestal fan as it has much larger blades than tower fans, which gives more airflow output. This fan is 65 wattage, with 3 fan speeds (low, medium & high) and included a handy remote control! After purchasing this, Bunnings now sells this at $135! Could be good for second room!
Good Quality Works Well – Purchased the fan yesterday so far so good, it's being used in a small bedroom. I was going to install a ceiling fan but chose this instead, I like that it has a remote and 8 hour timer, air circulation is good and you are able to adjust the swing and of course fan speed. It has an interesting function where the fan head will swing a full 360… Read more
not sure where you would use this. Build quality is good and the fan noise is low it is expensive however $161 , I will have to wait for 38c days to test the full cooling capabilities.
It’s ok but not worth the price – Firstly, it’s nice work well but not what I expected the fan power and output to be on a really hot day. It just blow warm air rather than cool air. All function are great and useful, and also it’s quiet which is nice but only problem is that it doesn’t point down close to the ground enough where you want it. Fair enough it can point straight up… Read more
to the roof which is not really required there at all.
The price is a bit over the top for a fan that’s only does half the things that you want out of it
