This machine is less than a year old. Started making this noise and stopped frothing the milk. The solution to the noise, the first time (after waiting for parts for 3-4 weeks) didn't work. Took it in again, second time around it was a bubble under the air filter. Solution to this? Either don't use a filter or buy more products from De'Longhi as an alternative to the filter. Then there's the milk issue. I was told to use the wash cycle on the milk carafe at least 3 times before every coffee I make, or don't leave the carafe in the fridge, only fill it for each cup. This is far from the nice, quick and easy one touch to make a coffee! Annoyingly, I've now been reading quite a number of reviews with similar problems. Have requested a refund or upgrade, but was offered coffee beans and cups for a machine that doesn't work properly. Agree with others regarding the temperature of the overall coffee - just can't get it hot enough. This was my first big purchase like this and it's very disappointing.

 Follow-up  · Here is a follow up for those wondering. The noise was an air bubble under the filter. This was discovered the second time in for repairs. The coffee temperature was always only a luke to mid warm, no matter what I did. They did send me a new milk carafe when it just stopped working though, so that's a plus. They have continued to refuse a refund of any kind, even though it's under warranty AND even though I said I would upgrade. They did contact me through here with the same blurb as everyone else gets about being sorry for this experience and that's not what they expect. Also could I ring them. You would think if they really meant it, they would contact the customer straight away. I haven't bothered as all my previous phone calls ended the same way. Hope this helps people out there trying to decide!

Better coffee than a professional barista at the touch of a button! – I cannot fault this automatic coffee machine. I have owned and run a Cafe with professional machines, and this produces more consistent, better coffe than my professionally trained baristas. If I still had the Cafe, I would have a few of these on the bench and use untrained staff to make coffee - the results are way better. Now when I am out and pay for coffee, I am invariably reminded of how good I have it at home ....

Disappointing Auto Coffee – I just basically want to give a heads up to anyone considering this coffee machine. If you want hot coffee, I don’t mean scalding, just hot….dont bother. Before I purchased I rang DeLonghi and asked if the temperature could be adjusted, I was informed YES. They are not talking about milk temperature , this is what gives you the perfect coffee. I have a DeLonghi MagnificaS 8 years still going strong, you steam your milk.I just thought I would upgrade, be nice to push a button and have the perfect coffee. No such thing as perfect but near enough would be good…. I have returned the machine and received a refund…

Please be advised that all of our fully automatic coffee machines have the same temperature in our range. It is correct that you cannot alter the milk temperature and only the coffee. You can make some adjustments to the milk but it is standard across all of them.

There are many factors to consider with the temperature of your coffee and milk and it is personal preference and how the coffee / milk recipes are made.

The only way to alter your milk to any temperature you like is through a manual coffee machine / manual steam wand and we are happy to support and give this advice to our consumers.

If you are interested in another coffee machine, Please take a look at manual frothing fully automatics OR manual coffee machines which would suit your preference.

Hi DeLonghi Team I need to address your response to my review. I will address it point by point as you do not appear to have read the whole review.. 1. I have as noted in the review had a DeLonghi manual steam wand machine for 8 years and very happily so. Just thought a fully auto would be the next step up, and convenient. I don’t need advice from you on how to use said appliance or buy another one to ‘suit my preference’. I’m adept at using a steam wand. 2. Prior to purchasing this machine, as noted in my review, I rang and asked about being able to adjust temperature, as I was worried about previous reviews regarding coffee not being hot enough. The customer service operative put me on hold to ask the question, came back.. YES. Your response to this…..
