Constantly leaking and inconsistent with flow of coffee – Our machine worked really well for the first month or so but slowly starting leaking once machine had just run a coffee and had been turned off. It now leaks while heating up. So much so that it fills the drip tray. Really disappointing. We purchased it less then 12 months ago. Show details
good but not – i have been running water threw before use and i kept noticing coffee grounds in the coffee holder after(which was empty beforehand) but the boiler outlet was clean so after reading the manual which it says imust clean or void the warrenty i removed the boiler outlet and it was full of coffee now this is screwed in extremely tight so how is coffee grounds getting behind this. Stylish little machine, great coffee – Very quiet for a cappacino machine & it runs well, smoothly & easily. Heats up quickly & makes great piping hot coffees with good flavour. Frother froths well too. Easy to clean. Looks good. Doesn't take much space. Love it. Show details · 1
back up machine – makes a strong cup of coffee but it is a little bit tempamental with coffee flow at first i thought it was the coffee was pressed to tight but i then noticed when pumping water into a cup (with no coffee)it struggled no flow of water once i readjusted the coffee holder it pumped properly now i find that strange if the coffee holder is not screwed… Read more

Good Coffee Machine – Purchased from Myer last May. good quality of making espresso and Cappuccino. use every morning to make 2 cups of coffee and still work well until now. the copper outside looks fantastic and modern. one little unhappy thing is that the cappuccino system doesn't work well sometimes, the milk doesn't become smooth. Compact & Stylish – This is our third coffee machine. It is good looking, compact, stylish, very simple operation & QUIET! This is our second DeLonghi coffee machine as we really like this brand's styling. Our first DeLonghi (a different model) died after 26 months so we are hoping this one will last longer. Coffee is good (but not excellent) with decent crema,… Read more
foam is acceptable but can be better/denser. Note that unlike lots of other machines, this machine's coffee like to be loosely packed otherwise coffee won't extract properly.
Reason for buying:- "designer look" coffee machine for under $350; it produce quite OK coffee. But if you are someone that are not fuss about the looks of the machine, a similar priced Breville will make better coffee as you will not have to pay extra for the styling.
Very happy with the machine! – I bought this machine 6 month ago. It is really easy to use and make a very good coffee with a lovely frothing. Not much space under the filter handle, but you can get use to it. It is a little difficult to find the perfect pressure to the ground coffee, but when you find it, it make a great coffee. Easy to use – A basic little machine that does the job. Looks great & easy to use. Only complaint is that you can't fit a big mug under the spout! Only a standard mug will fit. Easy to refill the water & automatic off switch is great. It can scratch easily though (matte finish), so becareful with putting the drip tray back in. Show details
Great Coffee - nice looking & easy to use machine – Bought this coffee machine online via Myer on sale. It's been a few months and we're very happy with this little model. Nice, simple easy to use and makes good coffee. It's quiet (huge bonus), the coffee is hot even without preheating cups; milk 'frother' works well, and doesn't take long to heat up. The auto-off function is great in case… Read more
someone accidentally leaves it on. I like where the water reservoir sits at the back for easy removal for cleaning; flip top open on top for easy refilling. It's small, doesn't take up much room on bench and being light can easily be pushed aside if needed; looks smart and the copper is a matte finish. We use pre-ground Harris (UTZ certified) coffee.
UPDATE JAN 2019: Still makes great coffee but it leaks after every use. Always in a puddle of water and having to constantly tip out tray (which does not hold much). After using it continues to drip heavily for several minutes; can not leave cup of coffee on tray after making even for minute - although switched off, it would over fill a cup. Doubly worse when frother used as that drips as well.
Good basic home coffee machine – This makes a good shot of coffee with good crema. Frothing works very well. A great machine for basic needs at the price, and also very compact and stylish. My only drawbacks are: - Lack of space between drip tray and coffee outlet means you can only fit a short mug underneath. You're out of luck if you like a bigger mug. - You can't press… Read more
down the ground coffee into the filter very firmly or else it won't dispense coffee. Takes some getting used to, and means you have to use a slightly coarser grind.
Overall very happy with the machine.
Work well – First the positives - good design, not noisy. Froth is alright. Negatives - since day 1 (purchased the machine brand new from Appliances Online) there is a problem with the machine not being able to pump coffee if you press the coffee firmly in the filter (say 10kg of pressure). It seems as it has no power to pump it out. Delonghi support… Read more
is very slow in their responses. Not happy that I have to visit a service agent for a faulty brand new machine - that was one of the reasons not to buy second hand, but even brand new can have problems. Maybe it's just mine that's broken, but overall a bit disappointed so far.
EDIT: After talking with a service agent it turns out that if the coffee is ground too fine then this is a normal behavior and happens to all machines. As this was my first coffee machine I had no idea.
When I increase the size of the ground coffee to size 16 or more - then I can apply a good pressure on it and the machine works fine, but anything under 15 size (espresso is between 0 and 30) should have only a slight pressure.
I am increasing my rating from previous 2 stars to 4 stars for now.
A simple machine – Purchased this to add to my collection of other machines. Simple, easy to use and dispenses a nice strong shot of coffee. I love my coffee but this machine is also perfect for the novice. Stylish, compact design. The frothing arm produces a very thick foam, great for cappuccinos but I can live with this small inconvenience as I'm not a huge fan of too much froth. Happy with my purchase Show reply
Good home coffee machine – Replaced my worn out Sunbeam Cafe-Crema machine (which served me well) with this one. Good looking, compact, easy to use and does a great coffee extraction. Out of the box the plastic milk steamer creates a very foamy milk more like a cappuccino style, where as I prefer flat white style, but this could just be refining my technique. (Update:… Read more
Have figured out that removing this piece and just having the wand without it produces a better result if you don't want cappuccino style). I notice the water reservoir does not need refilling as often as it used to in my sunbeam, so it seems more efficient.
One gotcha is that it doesn't fit larger mugs, however by simply sliding out the drip tray it has spot to accommodate mugs.
Also it doesn't come with a stainless milk jug which is not a problem as I already have 2.
happy so far.
