I make 1 coffee each morning, for about 3 months. Went on holidays for 6 weeks, used it about 4 times on return. Went to turn on this morning and it does not work. Less than 4 months old and does not work. Bought it from Costco, what do i do now, this was my retirement gift so I didn't have to buy out. Now no coffee and no money to repurchase Show details

Bought an Eletta Explore and it malfunctioned with the general alarm error within 1 month of actual use. It's obviously a faulty product and needs to be replaced but I've heard nothing from Delonghi and now I have no machine for weeks after dropping it off to a service center as requested. Frustrating. AVOID. Show details

Makes great coffee but giving it one star as had two machines fail with two different faults in under 3 months. First machine failed after 5 weeks when the milk frother stopped working. Still brewed a great espresso, but i always drink a latte so no good for me. Second machine failed 3 weeks after being replaced and the display now doesn’t turn… Read more

on. tried everything - machines still works but a bit hard to make a brew without being able to use the touch screen.

Disappointed and won’t be buying another DeLonghi product again.

Dear Delonghi Customer Support, I hope this message finds you well. We are writing to formally express our ongoing concerns and disappointment regarding our experience with the coffee machine purchased from your brand. Unfortunately, this particular model has consistently failed to meet expectations due to recurring technical issues. After just… Read more

a couple of months of use, the machine stopped frothing milk. We were advised by your technical support that the issue was due to a faulty milk jar. However, we had to wait nearly two months for a replacement as the part was not available in stock in Australia. Once received, the replacement milk jar did not resolve the problem.

We subsequently requested a refund, as the machine cannot be considered fully automatic without a functioning milk frother. However, this request was declined, and the unit was instead sent for assessment and repair. During this process, the pump and several other components were replaced. Unfortunately, this took several more weeks, and disappointingly, the machine ceased functioning again just a couple of months after being returned to us.

Given the repeated failures and the significant inconvenience we have experienced, we believe it is reasonable to request either a full refund or a replacement unit. We are concerned about the reliability of this product, particularly as these issues continue to arise and may persist beyond the warranty period.

We kindly ask you to reconsider our request for a resolution that reflects the circumstances and ensures a satisfactory outcome. We do not wish to continue waiting through repeated repair cycles for a product that has proven to be unreliable.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. We look forward to your prompt response.

We were tossing up between a manual and this automated piece of rubbish. We opted for the auto one because delonghi had advertised it as ‘barista quality’ on their website. This machine doesn’t come close to barista quality. Infact it’s just a fancy pod machine. Spent months trying to get it right, watched all their videos and other advice but… Read more

it’s just the machine. Called delonghi and spoke to a manager to swap it out for the manual but they said no. Stressed the point of false advertisement on their website but it was a hard no. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PIECE OF RUBBISH! Delonghi are just money makers and don’t care about their customers. If you like pod machines just get a cheaper one, but if you actually want barista quality coffee go with a breville barista. Wish I did. We should have stuck to our breville barista ! That was amazing and lasted 20 years. One of my biggest buying regret was this machine. Now I’m stuck with this expensive $1599 pod quality piece of crap

Ok I have had a Nespresso and Magnifico, I do like this all is one unit. Coffee is good and options are nice. I don’t have any other machine experience but I had my Magnifico for about 5 years so very happy with this upgrade. Show details

Broke after only 6 months – Machine worked well at the start, but despite following all the regular maintenance, it broke after only 6 months of use ("General Alarm" - see Reddit for many people experiencing the same issue). DeLonghi offered to fix it under warranty through a 3rd party service centre, but this still leaves me without a coffee machine for "several weeks". Buyer beware! Show details

Honestly disappointed – The machine was simple enough to set up and once I found the settings I liked consistently makes tasty coffee. However, in less than 3 mths the carafe stopped working and produced mostly steam resulting in my needing to heat the milk in the microwave first. It took almost 3 mths to receive the replacement! In less than 6 weeks the new carafe is… Read more

doing the same thing. I always clean it as stated and deep clean when it tells me. The water hardness of the machine is set so it’s not a scale issue. For the amount I spent on this machine this is quite infuriating. I also find the temperature of the coffee to be inconsistent and never quite hot enough even when it’s ‘hot’.

Perfect coffee every time – We have had the Elena for a few months now and think it is now fitting to review. With a high price tag, the DeLonghi Eletta is well worth the money spent. Makes perfect coffee every time and compliments itself after each preparation. Got to love the interaction. “ this is the best one yet”. With its WiFi interaction, you can further make… Read more

exquisite coffee recipes, along with already programmed selections. Be creative by personalising your choice of coffees. You are able to edit personalisation selections to family members or guests under favourites. Not only can you make hot coffee but also have the option of cold drinks too. The Eletta comes with 2 carafes, 1 for Hot (Black top) & the other for Cold drinks (white top) you definitely only receive choice of coffee by carafe used. The Eletta will correct you if wrong carafe is chosen.

The simplicity of the Eletta and making a perfect coffee, you won’t go wrong. Do not be selfish and use inexpensive beans. Yes, the Eletta is pricey, but most definitely worth it. Choice of good beans does make a difference. If you are able, purchase the coffee bean canister to store unused beans or store in fridge,, but make sure the bag is sealed.

Now the cleaning. This takes approx 50 minutes. It is a long process, but definitely well worth the time taken. Following the process also prolongs the machines use, so please don’t avoid. Changing filter, simple wipe down & your DeLonghi will be happy.

Whether Hot or Cold you won’t be disappointed. Also has To Go function, what else can you ask for.

I'm now a Coffee Snob with the Magnificent Machine – We were used to coffee pod machines and wanted to upgrade. After a great deal of research we purchased a DeLonghi Eletta Explore. This has worked out perfectly as each of us at home like a different brew. With its automatic functions making exactly what we each want isa breeze, and its auto cleaning functions are fantastic. It even tells me when to descale it with easy to follow instructions. Show details

Exceptional Machine – After owning a number of high end auto, semi auto & manual machines over many years that are reasonably OK, I decided to try out this new entry into the market. - note the model I am reviewing is this one, but is the Titanium version... virtually identical to this but slightly updated, and with wifi connection... Reading some excellent reviews i… Read more

was still sceptical, as the pricepoint is modest for a fully auto model that offers to pull off a vast range of options, but I took the plunge. After a super-easy set up from wifi connection to tapping through an amazingly fun initialising, I was in love. It's a chatty little machine with surprisingly human language. The "graphics" are brilliant, and the control panel walks you through every step of every process with ease. Now to the coffee- after all, that's what we are here for. From the classic espresso shot to the relatively rare offering in auto machines of an Aussie style milk-after-coffee pour, I was blown away. Tinkering a bit with the grind selector & the size and strength options gave me a truely perfect shot. The milk options give great microfoam, and the self-clean jug is good to go for fridge storage between pours. I have not got as far as trialling the cold options yet -but I had to spread the word as I'm really excited about this machine.

Brilliant! Love it – I have had this machine for about a month now and love, love, love it! It’s incredibly easy to use, and you get prompts on the large, easy to read screen every step of the way. It is very low maintenance, as you do not need to clean the whole milk carafe after every use. It cleans the milk nozzle every use, and prompts you to do a thorough… Read more

cleaning of the carafe periodically. Meaning you use it, then just put the whole milk carafe with excess milk back in the fridge. You also get reminders to empty the drip tray and grounds when needed. You can customise your favourite coffee to your cup size and save it as a favourite under your own profile, so you get a perfect coffee with one touch every time. We have tried several different coffee machines over the years and this is the best by a long shot. Perfect coffee every time, low maintenance, super easy to use and good value for money.

The perfect machine, so easy to use – This machine is perfect, it makes your coffee with a few beeps and it custom programs and remembers your favourites. A bit fiddly to set up but once its set up that is it. Show details
