Does not last – Lasted for one season - now blows cold air. It was good while it lasted
This is a reasonably good quality heater – It heats very well. Thermostat very effectively. Fan knob has three settings but it seems to be 'dummy' - Fan runs only at setting -Three I can't believe Delonghi like company can miss this simple thing that there is not indicator (like a red or white dot or arrow on black colored dial) so use can know what setting they have put heaters on. Heats my unit perfectly – I have a small-ish apartment and this heater is perfect for me. It warms my 50 sqm living room nicely. It's efficient and very quiet. Despite it's size it is portable and fairly light. The timer function on the side is very easy to operate. I like that it has a 'max + fan' function so if you really want to warm up quickly you aren't limited to radiant heat only. For the price, it's a great heater. Show details
Very impressed – This is the third winter for this heater and it is still going strong. The heater is very efficient. Even if I use it everyday the electricity bill never shocks me. I don't seem to have the same thermostat issue as other people mentioned and it appears to be reliable on my heater. The timer is a great design, very simple to configure. I usually… Read more
set the timer to run for a while in the morning so I can get out of bed feeling warm and it does the job perfectly. This is the third Delonghi appliance I own apart from dishwasher and portable air conditioner and I have to say I am very impressed by this brand.
This is only for a small room – This is good for the space saver as this does not require more space. This also heats small room size. Not suitable for big area. Easy to move around. However we did a wrong choice because we wanted to use this for our living area and the size of the room is much bigger and this is not enough for us. We had to buy new for our room. Show details
Not Impressed – Only bought 2 weeks ago on recommendation of CHOICE. Heats a small room well however CHOICE made no mention of how HOT the exterior of the heater becomes when on HIGH which, in winter, is the only temperature I'd have it on. I wrote a review on CHOICE site indicating that, in my opinion, the heater could present a hazard for young children.… Read more
CHOICE advised my review wouldn't be printed as it didn't comply with "guidelines" however they're yet to explain what part. If you're not concerned about young children's welfare or are lucky enough to have extremely obedient little ones then go for it.
Should come with an expiry date – I bought this heater 18m ago from Bing Lee. It was great while it lasted and I was especially impressed that it could effectively heat a large area. It has now stopped heating and instead just blowing cold air. I think we paid around $100-$150 at the time of purchase . I notice a lot of other people have had the same experience. I do not recommend this product
Works well...but collects dust...then doesn't – Few years ago, Choice said this was the best in it's category. However, after 2 years became temperamental. Wasn't even used that much. Now it'll stay hot for about 10-20mins, then just blows air. Cold air. Technically that's a fan, and as a fan, it's a dud too. So, nope........ Ok, so I just took it apart. You'll need one of those screwdriver… Read more
sets with a variety of head types to get it open. I cleaned all the dust out of it...and...it works again. So, keep it covered when you store it, K?
Great... while it lasts – This has been a great heater for two winters but hasn't lasted for a third. It was very effective, warming a large room quite quickly. The thermostat seemed to work well and the adjustable heat settings and timer were handy. However, I live in a climate with a relatively short winter and so it hasn't had to work all that long and hard. It was not… Read more
a really expensive model but not a cheapy either... I think it's reasonable to expect more than 2 seasons use from it but looking at some other reviews, it seems unfortunately common for them to die after that. I notice that the very positive reviews seem to have been written within a short time of purchase. Beware
Very good, quiet and quick heating – I bought the DeLonghi HCS2552FTS a year ago and have found it to be quite and a very quick heater when on high. The fan only operates on high which is a bit unfortunate but I found that running on high with the thermostat turned down works quite well. I run this is an L shaped living dining area.
Works Well for a While, Does Not Last – Like a number of similar reviews on here, this heater worked well although slightly noisy for a while - around 18 to 24 months at a guess - but has just clapped out on me. Looks like the element has blown, no heat at all coming from the unit which is very frustrating given how recently I bough the unit, only ended up here as was looking for warranty T&Cs on the unit so I could take it back, but what do you know, 12 months only!!
Quick and quiet – I use this in a converted patio so it's a thin walked thin roofed big space. It's great! Excellent ambient heating of a big room, very quiet and the thermostat works well. I very highly recommend this product! It's smaller in size than I assumed which is great, and it's design makes it easy to move and very easy to control. Show reply
Better than expected – I had never considered a convection heater as I had thought they were pretty useless in heating a room and I’d previously used gas or fan heaters when living in a house. I had positioned them like those useless oil column heaters. However when I was convinced by the Harvey Norman sales person to buy one (at a discount) I thought why not? It… Read more
was a great buy. What I liked was how fast it began heating and how easy it is to use. What I like most is how quiet it is compared to my Dyson fan heater. What I love about it is that I can sleep with it on in my bedroom on the coldest of winter nights and keep it on the low setting as it has a thermostat which thus helps in lowering the electricity bills. The low setting is almost silent unlike the air-conditioner or Dyson fan heater which I can’t sleep with. I also like the fact it is not blowing dust around either.
Fortunately I haven’t had technical problems with it like others seem to have had. Overall I think it is a great heater for a relatively small space like an apartment or small room only. Probably not suited for a very cold living room or large house. Definitely much more heat emitted than an oil column heater or a panel heater and much faster too – thus you can use it to quickly heat yourself up if you arrive home from a cold day or night. I hope this helps.

Thermostat faulty – Even at low settings when it switches on it keeps going pumping out hot air long after the thermostat should have turned it off. Very disappointed. It is also quiet noisy and rumbles particularly when placed on a hard floor. I was really hoping it would operate through the night at low heat but this did not happen.
Died after 1 year, looks like a lot of people have same problem – Purchased this product based on good reviews, worked perfect for one year. Now makes funny and loud noise and blows only cold air, not heating at all. Could not get it fixed so it went in to rubbish . Really disappointed!!! Company needs to look into thIs issue as it seems a lot of other users are stuck with the same problem and no heating in winter!!! Show details
Clanging fan – Bought the heater from Myer after reading very good reviews. The heater worked well 2013 and 2014 winters. sometimes in 2014 winter the fan started making a clanging sound but if it was turned off for a while, the noise stopped when restarted. However, this winter, heater worked well for two days but now makes a clanging sound and blows cold air… Read more
rather than hot air. So very disappointed as out of warranty but this seems to be a product fault as several users have the same complaint - DeLonghi should look into this.
Clanger!!! – Bought winter 2013 from Bing Lee bowral. Good price worked great 13 and 14 now almost winter 15 clanging sounds and just out of warranty? worked really Well and only heater in small flat. Cost to purchase was ok and not really too much will buy another? Not sure but it was 170.00 so i guess 85.00 per winter was not bad. Lets face it what choice do we have?
Average at best – I had the same issue as [name removed], mine had a low frequency hum which was extremely annoying. Also the thermostat was unreliable/not working. So with 2 of the features I bought it for, not working as intended (quiet operation and thermostat controlled). I returned it and grabbed a radiant heater with thermostat instead. Heats up reasonably quickly Noisy, faulty thermostat
Good heat but expensive to run – Great heat with the fan on, without would be ok to heat a small space. Unit itself doesn't get too hot when operating. Only gripes...electricity bill went up from $160 to $700 using this heater much of the day over a Melbourne winter, so use sparingly!! Also had to return the first unit we bought for a replacement only 2weeks after purchase as a… Read more
fan came loose & started making a grinding/clunking noise when on. Good heat with fan on. Unit doesn't get too hot. Runs quietly. Expensive to run. First unit broke after only 2weeks use.
its ok – Reading choice magazine this was the 2nd best heater to buy. It was bigger than i thought and maybe i was expecting more but the heating was only ok for me. It had this certain smell when u put it on the strongest heating option and i was a little scared if it was going to blow up or not. Im not sure if it can heat a small room or not either but… Read more
at least they give you a option to put it on as a wall mount, was expecting more
a funny smell initially when it starts up
Excellent heater! Instant heat! – We've had one of these heaters in our home for two years (2014 is third winter) and have had no trouble with it. It has a timer on it, but I haven't bothered to work that out. I think it's a normal type of timer, but I'd prefer not to use the timer, as I like to be in attendance when a heater is on. I always switch it to the medium setting (1500w)… Read more
when I arise on winter mornings (in Canberra) and when the living area has reached the desired temperature, I turn it back to minimum (900w) and thermostat down to 2. It then maintains room temp for the rest of the day. We rarely use the 2400w setting, but when I've tried it, it belts out some serious heat. Our main living area comprises combined sitting/dining/kitchen and we can close it off from the rest of the house. Of course, heat and thermostat settings would depend on the size of the area being heated. Reliable and effective. Instant heat. Thermostat can be set to maintain constant room temperature. Nothing so far.
Is mine faulty? – I just bought one from davidjones, after reading all these positive reviews, but mine when not turning the fan on, the heater makes a low frequency noise which is really irritating when u r trying to sleep, does anyone else have this problem? I have written to delonghi and awaiting their response. But would like to know if anyone else have similar experience

Great heater! – I researched heaters for awhile, especially safety issues and efficiency. I read in someone on here's review that this heater was well received by Choice and other reviewers had given it top marks, so I bought one a few days ago. It's amazing.... First of all it's easy to transport and then assemble (the feet just slide into the base). Easy to… Read more
wipe down the outside and simple to get going. I haven't yet used the fan function as my daughter has allergies and we have to be careful with fans but I haven't needed to yet anyway. The heater produced heat almost immediately and the room warmed up within half an hour (and it's an open walled room to a very long corridor). After a few hours today and with the heater still in the lounge room, the warmth spread and filled the whole family room/kitchen/dining room area... Very cosy. I am going to buy a second one to take to our next house at the end of the year. Quick, efficient and surprisingly powerful. The only thing I can perhaps put in this section is that the outside of the heater does get quite hot but all heaters should be treated with care!
Very happy – I researched panel heaters before purchasing this one, it was highly recommended by Choice. Very happy with it, it warms my living area (approx 30m2) in minutes and the fans are pretty quiet. It is very light so easy to move from room to room if needed. For the price I think it s a great heater.
Best Heater I've Ever Bought – I bought this heater after reading the reviews and have not been disappointed. It has lots of heat settings including a fan which heats the room in minutes, It has a thermostat and timer. I have not had a power bill yet but we have wood heating and just wanted it for chilly mornings and nights when the wood heater is not going. Everything
The best electric heater – Heat up very quick, efficient hot air (not dry air) I use this heater for master bedroom and guest room. I have a few different types of heater ie gas heater, fan heater, electric heater. This heater works the best for my two bedroom unit so far. Highly recommended. Excellent!! I would get the second one soon.
Heats up fast ~ ! – This heater heats up the room fast and economical to run. The heater doesn't have a bad smell like the oil heater. It's also light and portable which is a bonus if need to move the heater from room to room. The only drawback is when running with the fan makes a bit of noise, but that is expected and not a big deal. Heats up fast, light and portable When running with the fan makes a bit of noise but no big deal.
Great Heater – Bought this model a couple of years ago following Choice Magazine's recommendation. It's around $130- $140 in stores. Has various heat and fan settings as well as a timer function. Fan is very quiet. Thermostat means the heat will cut out when the room reaches the required temperature and cut back in when it drops, much like an oven. Very warm and very reliable. Show 5 replies
Great – This heater warmed my combined lounge dining kitchen up. Its now 4 hours later and at a nice temperature. Quiet fan. Just touching the heaters body was not hot, but dont leave ur hand on there long. (My prev cheaper Delonghi was hot to touch and my poor lil nephew burnt his hand on it so this one is better) Not sure how economical it is but have… Read more · 2
heard 40 cents per hour? Will have to look at my electricity bill when it comes and check back in.

Great purchase – I bought this heater after researching which ones are more economical to run. The built in fan helps circulate warm air. Choice of settings with and without fan. Heats really quickly and compared to my last oil heater I don't need to keep it on all the time to stay warm. Fairly quiet with the fan on. Also good price. Thermostat and timer Nothing
Fantastic Heater! – After researching a lot of heaters, I decided to purchase the Delonghi, & I could not be happier. The heater warms the home very quickly, with the added option of fan boost, which I love. I also wanted a heater that didn't dry the air, yet still performed to optimal peak, and the Delonghi delivers. Love the fact of a timer, so I can set the… Read more · 1
heater to warm the home for a bit to take the chill out of those extra cold mornings.
Has the option of a wall mounting, which is included in the package, an added bonus.
Overall, very pleased with my purchase & will highly recommend. Warms really quickly. Love the fan boost option. Lightweight. Very quiet. Nothing. Fantastic heater.
Excellent – We live in a small two bedroom unit with a new baby and wanted an effective heater which didn't dry the air but could warm the space effectively. It is important for us to buy energy efficient appliances which will last. This item came top of another review company's research helped us decide. It has the option of a wall mount which could be very… Read more
handy. We found Bing Lee gave the best price! Warms room well, alarm when kicked over, not drying - has option to use fan, safe with kids, in built timer, has good energy rating We haven't found any yet! It's keeping the room comfortably warm, so quietly that we often forget to turn it off!!
