We bought this to replace our DeLonghi La Specialista. After an hour pouring over reviews and AI comparisons decided to go with the same coffee machine we had but the basic Arte was out of stock, the only difference being this does a cold brew. Compared with the previous model - extra steps in the process. Where the old model had a built in tamper and the group handle went straight under the grinder, now you attach a guide, get the coffee, remove, place it on a rubber mat/stand, then use a separate tamper to tamp the coffee. Overall an extra 4 or 5 steps just to get the coffee dose and to tamp - the cold brew is a great feature if you’re patient. It takes a long time and my husband (who makes an iced coffee most days) said after the first go he won’t be using that feature but will instead stick to the old process - ice and milk in a cup, add the hot coffee shot. So still a good machine but if you had the old version with built in tamper then the extra steps are a bit of a process and results in a lot more coffee grinds spillage and mess. We had to have 3 repairs on the old one (only one was within warranty) and it lasted 5 years and 5 months before the pressure died so we’ll see if this one lasts longer.

Left me ' De longing ' for a decent cup of coffee – Possibly the worst coffee machine I have ever encountered . The shortfalls and annoyances of this device would fill a phone book . Frankly I am amazed that these machines sell at all . There is no question as to their attractive styling though , yes they look great , unfortunately this is a case of ' all show and no go ' , no crema either . It is impossibly fiddly to use , the myriad of buttons and dials do nothing but confuse and very little to alter the insipid ' brown water ' produced . Very little pressure is produced , no crema or aromatic oils are extracted , nothing you do will produce a decent cup . Don't blame the coffee beans , it's not their fault , neither is it the grind , even though the inbuilt grinder has a lot to be desired . This machine simply doesn't produce enough heat or pressure to work effectively . The best you will achieve , if you are lucky , is a watery long black 'Americana ' . Pictured is the unit ready for return by a disgusted purchaser and the empty space waiting for a decent machine .

Waste Of Money- Do Not Bother – Purchased December 2023 to replace a 3-year-old model by the same manufacturer and same name. Have not had a decent coffee yet. Tried everything. The bean grinder is messy and inaccurate. You have to now manually compress the grind. The machine does not give any pressure to extract the oil. The milk froth maker is a complete failure. If you choose a longer black coffee you are given 3/4 cup of hot water first. This is the third coffee maker I have purchased from this company. Each time the model gets more basic. But never again. The GOOD GUYES from where I purchased it { $699--3/12/2023] will not take it back. $699 down the drain .

Have given up with this model. Paid $600 and got the previous model repaired with a 6-month warranty. After 6 months of working well. Shows that with every new model these days they are spending less on building the product, each one has less quality but keeping the price the same.
Great little coffee machine - so far so good – Had this machine since September, quite a few kilograms of coffees. Muliple descale and clean have gone through as well and I must say it's value for the price of the machine. Had others over 2k worth of machine and this little thing has out performed others. Well, for now it has been good. Let's see how well it goes. The grinder works well, we have gone through the available coffee beans from supermarket to specialty coffee suppliers. Pulls beautiful coffees and if you after milk frothing, that works too without an issue. Only thing I've not tried is cold brew, one on the list later on.
It's quite an easy machine to use even if you never touch a manual machine before. So don't be afraid to give it a go. That way, you can control the flavours you after rather than a full automatic machine without the limited individual programs you can save on some machines. For the price and the amount of coffees it's gone through, for me it's worth it. And we do go through quite a few coffees. Cross our fingers hoping this will last at least 12 months hassles free.
