Died too soon! – The first one didn't work properly and had to be replaced. The replacement only lasted 2 1/2 years of light use. It was supposed to be one of the quietest, but in practice it rattled and throbbed like something wasn't quite right inside. It might have Italian design quality, but 2 1/2 years is a shockingly short lifespan. Not impressed.

There's no point putting it on a rug 'cos it's dead! And it's out of warranty. But thank you.
Worth every penny – Bought this dehumidifier as I was finding mold all over apartment, clothes and furniture. Its small, compact and looks good, fits well in my apartment. Works quickly to dehumidify the space, dries laundry quickly too. Easy to maintain, simply pull out tray and empty water. Doesn't seem to have used up much energy while in use. Very effective and worth the spend.
Hi Zainab, We're so glad you have found the perfect dehumidifier to keep your home comfortable and mould free! Thanks, De'Longhi
Needed!!!! – After being sick for 4 weeks and not realising the moisture content combined with the high humidity in my newly rented townhouse, I found mould growing on clothes, shoes and furniture. I tried sourcing a dehumidifier and struggled to source one as everyone in Sydney got in first. I lucked this product through Bing Lee's EBay store and collected it the next day. In the first 42 hours it had collected over 10L of water from the upstairs. Highly recommend this product, only downfall is the small tank, but this model you can connect a hose to it if you have somewhere safe to drain. I continue to draw out 6L to 8L a day

Hi Kerry, We are so glad that your new dehumidifier has become an amazing addition to your home! Thanks, De'Longhi
Great product – This is the 16L version in the series. It's quiet (similar noise to a pedestal fan) so you could sleep with it running OK. It seems quite effective even at cooler temperatures. The only drawback is the reservoir size which needs frequent emptying. If we set it up in a room for the night it will have stopped due to a full tank before the morning. So unfortunately the unit is often more limited by the reservoir than its actual dehumidifing capacity. Continuous draining is an option but no where near as convenient, obviously. If you've got a largish room or high moisture levels get as big a unit as you can afford.

Dear Mark, Thankyou for contacting the De'Longhi Group about your dehumidifier.
The appliance will emit noise due to the compressor within the appliance.
Depending on its location it can cause the components to start rattling through vibrations of the machine.
Often moving the appliance to a location to minimise the vibrations is required.
We have found on carpet or on a rug, as the floorboards, and tiles can sometimes amplify noises.
Also checking the filter and tank are inserted correctly.
If under warranty you can take your appliance and receipt to an Air Con/Air Treatment service centre by entering your suburb in the locator below and selecting the appropriate service partner.
