Don’t do it. Lives on the error rating of E1 - which apparently means it could be too damp to dehumidify. I’ve owned two. Have just given up. Took one back to be serviced. Worked a couple more times and returned to error E1. What a waste of money Show details
A cheap and nasty piece of rubbish with a flimsy motor and 1% of the quality of previous models – I am so disappointed. Just received this product after an online purchase. It is the DeLonghi dehumidifier that is the current model on the market. I wanted an additional dehumidifier after buying an earlier model that is awesome but no longer available. I thought this one was the closest match, but it is like standards have dropped 100 fold… Read more
(whilst increasing prices). This is a flimsy piece of plastic. It doesn’t even have a sturdy base with its slim profile. One little push and it will topple. The water tank is a cheap plastic and small volume. The touch screen has limited options. But worst of all, is the noise. It is loud with a rattle. It sounds like it is struggling to do its job, with the tiniest motor they could get away with. The air being expelled is weak. Truly a horrid thing. It is something manufactured for 1% of the cost price. I have rung to get a refund. If don’t know if this will be possible. I will keep trying. It deserves to be discarded in the bin. I wouldn’t even be able to resell it- blind Freddy can see how cheap it is.

What's wrong with dehumidifier – I purchased the Delonghi 2 in 1 Dehumidifier and Purifier room size is 30sqm so from 6am running it for about 5hrs the reservoir tank was almost full i was impressed at how much water it sucked up but now i find it won't keep working i get EI error code when it gets to 49% I have set dehumidifier on 40%. my Weather station tells me (outside temp… Read more
32.3c 52% and Inside temp 34.4c 54%). I need the humidity to drop below 50% to make house more liveable.
HN told me that they won't run past 30c is this true? Please help as i need to know, why sell products to only work in temperatures to max of 30c? I would like honest answers please regarding these dehumidifiers. I have 7 days to take back Delonghi for refund.
Since using Delonghi the Humidity inside my house has dropped as normally my home reaches humidity 70% -- today's humidity it was at 67% so it's dropped 16% Which is great but would really like it to sit at around 40% would be nice as even at 50% it's still hot makes you tired sweat still runs off you. Why does it continue to get an E1 error code each time I restart machine.
I don't have aircon as I'm in rental. I'm also asthmatic is another reason for my purchase due to the purifier and allergens, Bush fires etc.
I can't give this product 5 star as if it's true that it only works in maximum temps of 30c then its pretty much useless and overpriced.
I have no complaints about noise as my ceiling fan and bathroom ceiling airflow is much louder than delonghi dehumidifier so don't know why people are concerned with that.

Excellent dehumidifier – Works very well. Surprising how much moisture is in a room. It is easy to manoeuvre from room to room. The display is also easy to navigate. It is a little loud, but happy to have the noise if it’s doing its job and we just close the door on the room it’s being used on. For the open plan areas we have turned it on when we have been out of the… Read more
house. We tried the clothes drying mode but thought it more a novelty than of use for us. With the significant high rainfall NSW has had, this unit for us was well worth the buy.
Machine functions ok but has technical display issues – Bought the machine from the Good Guys online and box was all damaged with lots of sticky tape over it, instruction manual already opened - looked just like a returned item. This is "not" the first time I received a faulty item from the Good Guys. This is the first time I used a dehumidifier so not sure if it's better than others. All the… Read more
functions appear to work correctly except for two. The replace EPA filter symbol appeared on the display after usage for less than a month where I have not even used it that much, I cannot get rid of the symbol on the display, even after removing the filter and checking it's all still clean and have tried to reset it as shown at the Delonghi website and manual. I have tried calling the Delonghi support line but there does not appear to be an option to select for the dehumidifier support.
The other one if the useless function which is the Delonghi app to control it, The app doesn't really do anything and has very limited information on it. Looks like Delonghi tried to use this as a selling point but has disappointed many customers.
For something at this price point, I would stick to the cheaper options out there. Definitely not worth the money and would NOT recommend it to anyone.
Takes out 5L a day from the room! – Takes out 5L of water every single day from our bedroom which is on the dark side of the house with exposed brick walls. I bought this machine due to a dampness and black mould problem and it’s fantastic. So far no mould has returned after being removed prior to purchasing the dehumidifier. Seems to be gradually taking out slightly less and less… Read more · 1
so I’m guessing it’s doing it’s job and drying out the bricks. We only run it during the day while at work so noise isn’t an issue for us. The air is so much fresher now and sleep quality noticeably better. Wish I’d bought one years ago. Can’t get the WiFi to connect but our modem is on a different floor. I’m not too worried. Happy to turn it on manually when we wake up.
Great dehumidifier - poor app – The main use I had for this machine was to dehumidify the bathroom; works very well in that regards. The machine is not silent, but the noirse is not louder than a vent in a bathroom, and hence did not really notice the difference. There is an option to use the hose or the bucket. For the purposes of the bathroom, the bucket was sufficient. … Read more · 3
Other funtionalities include clothes drying and air purifier. Both of which work well. While the unit is a little on the heavier side, the wheels makes it easy to both between rooms. There is a sweet spot for both temperature and humidity for it to work well, which is why I usually turn it on after a shower. What initially took a whole night to dry up in a bathroom without any windows, took around a hour or two to dry up. However, while it has wifi functionality and an app, it is terrible in controlling the machine and nowhere as good as the Dyson app. I have been told there is going to be a revamp of the app, so look forward to an updated version.
A little on the pricier side at full RRP, but a solid unit overall for its functionality.
Noise – I returned the unit back to the Good Guys due to excessive noise coming from the unit. They had no more in stock and swapped it with the display unit. They plugged it in and it seemed to work fine with no excess noise apart from the expected compressor sound from running. Returning home and running for only an hour or two this unit started making… Read more
the same excessive noise. Will be returning for a refund. Very disappointing because it seems to work well other than the resonating noise through the shell. Update.. returned to Good Guys Busselton for refund. They were very helpful and the refund wasn't a problem.
Too Loud – Tl;dr I purchased and returned this the next day due to the noise. Bing Lee were great, refunded no issue. *TEST 1* Our home is a split-level (3 floor) open-plan house. Open floor area is about 100m2. I ran this in dehumidify mode for 8 hours (see images) at 17-19˚c internal temp on the bottom floor. It removed 2.7 litres of water and reduced… Read more
the relative humidity by 4% only. Not optimum enviro for extraction, but I expected more removal for the period of time. Also we could hear the dehumidifier all night from inside our bedroom, with the door closed, 2 floors up (noted the floors are open plan though).
*TEST 2* Dehumidify mode in small bedroom of 10m2. It reduced the humidity to from 70% > 45% in a couple hrs. So, in that respect worked well. The downside is that the noise was very, very loud. You could not use this machine while sleeping or reading inside, only while you were outside the room.
*TEST 3* Main bedroom of 20 m2 + wet laundry. Laundry mode. Worked great, dried laundry in few hours and kept the humidity down to 40%. Noise is the problem again though.
*SUMMARY*
Positives: - Connect to Google Home app and a few handy voice commands, which is easy to set up and useful. - Has an app to monitor the moisture levels over time. Easy to set up and connect to wifi. - Wheels were handy for manoeuvring over hardwood floors. - The build feels sturdy. - Removal of water tray straightforward. - Laundy mode worked well. - Dehumidify in smaller-medium bedrooms worked great. - Friendly customer support. - Good features.
Negatives: - #1 is the noise. The unit is supposedly 47 dB (A). I have a dishwasher of noise level: 42 dB (A), but the dehumidifier in comparison is much, much louder and interfered with our sleep. Regardless of its extraction performance, we could not live with this sound. - Disappointing performance (in my opinion) in dehumidify mode on open-plan split-level rumpus/living dining (about 100m2). - There is no silent mode. This would be something I will look for in future. - Each button press on the physical unit or change via the app makes a very loud beep on the dehumidifier. This is pain if you have it in say a nursery with a sleeping baby... not that they could sleep through the sound of this. - APP: user interface design feels like an afterthought. The benchmark is the Dyson hotcool app, that's best-in-class. - APP: can lose the settings occasionally. This app needs better QA. - APP: There's a first-time explanation for certain screens and modes in the app, but then you never have that info again: where is the info on the screen to explain what real feel is or eco mode etc. - APP: tapping between the modes in the app (to see what they are) immediately changes the mode, which is a pain. - APP: legacy data for moisture tracking appears to be cleared if you unplug the dehumidifier (to say wheel it between rooms). WHY?! - APP: does not display the real-time humidity level, only the target %, which I find bizarre. Other brands do this (see screenshot from De'Longhi app)

Excessively Noisy – DeLonghi DDSX220WF-WH Tasciugo Ariadry Pure Dehumidifier, made in China. Dehumidifies well, no problem. Happy with that. The noise is initially reasonable for what is essentially a portable air conditioner, I didn’t expect it to be silent, but once it’s been running for an hour or two it becomes quite noisy. It’s possible to quell the excess… Read more · 1
noise by putting a little downward pressure on the top of the case but once I remove that pressure the noise returns.
This is the second unit. The first one made the same excess noise and was exchanged by the retailer. This second one’s going back for a refund. I’ll try a different brand.
