Was on special at the supermarket at a reasonable price- had to purchase as heard good reviews – Happy with the price I paid on the day half price - found it is ok , expected better - the moisturiser lotion when rubbed onto legs ,arms elbows has been leaving a residue on my skin , like when somebody rubs a rubber on your skin and leaves peelings very similar .I’m happy with the moisture it provides and as Jennifer Anniston promoted the… Read more

product AVEENO will try that also if more reason to want to buy the product to get fooled in to believe will have beautiful flawless skin like Jennifer . If I I do will let you know as I am hitting the 50 mark -

I’ve never had dry skin before… – I purchased this because I’m prone to acne and dermatitis. Thought this moisturiser would be perfect. It stings my skin, and my face is dry, red and itchy. Gave it a good go for a week… but after reading these reviews it’s good to know I’m not imagining things. Sadly this is going in the recycling bin. Show details

Thanks for the welts, Dermaveen! – I am covered in blisters & red patches thanks to Dermaveen Sensitive Sun Cream. I've never had a worse reaction. I am extremely annoyed because I did my research & stupidly, believed the rave reviews. I am going to the Dermatologist as soon as I can get an appointment in hopes that I can reverse the damage caused by this rubbish product. Show details

So Sad and Angry. BEWARE – I see I am not the only one to realise the change in Dermaveen Moisturising Lotion. I have used up all my bulk bottles and today opened then new orange label lotion. I have been using this since 2000 and from the moment I put some on my hand I realised, different smell and different texture. It leaves a shiny film on the skin which is just… Read more

horrible. And then I started scratching.

And not a word on the label that they have change the formula. Don't worry about all the unsuspecting people out there who have relied on this product for years. How can they do that. I was told they use it at the Childrens Hospital.

Questions for the makers:-

1. Why would you change something that works so well!!

2. Having decided to change, why did you decide not to warn people?

3. Did you think no one would notice ?

4. I see the original Shower and Bath Oil is back. Do you also intend changing the formula on the Dermaveen Moisturising Lotion back to the original?

November 6th 2017 Update: Update On Dermaveen Moisturising Lotion

If you have had a bad experience with the new Dermaveen Moisturising Lotion email aucs@valeant.com or customerservice@invapharma.com.

Make a complaint, be vocal... They have previously returned to the old formula on other products and if we can shout loud enough maybe they will on this one also.

Phenomenal – I tried everything on the market for eczema. Nothing works especially the petroleum jelly and cortisone based rubbish dermatologists recommend. The Dermaveen shower and bath oil and the Dermaveen eczema lotion (not the cream or ointment) are excellent products and now that I have tried the moisturizer, I don't think I even need the lotion anymore.… Read more ·  1

This moisturizer has a strange feel to it and I probably wouldn't think to use it if I didn't have eczema. I think it feels like glue or toothpaste as you put it on but that feeling dissipates quickly. After seven years of excruciating eczema and nothing to relieve it even for one day, this product is a miracle.

October 2015 update.

I renovated a unit and in all the dust I got eczema back again. This time nothing would work even Dermaveen products weren't helping much. As it was winter I think that contributed. Now that spring has arrived it seems to get better slightly on its own but scratching definitely exacerbates the problem. What I do now is avoid the petroleum jelly based products, take immune defense eczema shield powder orally and I have been washing with goat milk soap and then applying Dermaveen moisturizing lotion. If I make a conscious effort to keep my hands away so as not to scratch it seems to be clearing up fingers crossed. I also read that lack of vitamin D is believed to play a part in allergy susceptibility. My intention is to get a little bit of sun occasionally and see if that helps but I am definitely not a professional health expert so don't take that as medical science = that is just a hunch of a lay person. Good luck! everything - highly recommended if you've tried everything for eczema Nothing - but probably not for normal skin

Love the whole range! – I tried Dermaveen about 3 weeks ago and am now a total convert. I have mixed connective tissue disease, and suffer from incredibly sensitive, oily and dry, super itchy skin including on my scalp, thin skin on my fingers, random patches of flakiness and redness, and now the odd bit of acne although i am in my late 30s. I had tried a lot of… Read more

products, including some very expensive ones, and i am now even throwing out my jurlique and Clinique products and replacing them with this range. Because you can use the wash and moisturiser on both your face and body, it saves both money and space in the bathroom. I also use the shampoo and conditioner (i have thick hair to my waist) and the face cream with sunscreen if going to the beach (the first one i have not been allergic to on my face). I love them all, in a week my skin stopped itching, is more supple, and my face has totally cleared up for the first time in a year and feels really soft. I also love the marzipan smell of the whole range. This moisturiser is a great texture, not greasy or too heavy, fine for very sensitive faces. Can't recommend this product enough for itchy skin, or even if you just hate the perfumes they put in everything now. Love the whole range, works great for me, replaces a heap of different products with just a few

Itchiness gone – I’ve just bought (November 15, 2022) Dermaveen Intensive Extra Hydration pump bottle 500ml. I’ve been using other more expensive products for my dry itchy legs and arms to no avail, but this product settled it down in the first day. I’m very happy! Show details

Soothing and great – My skin is much softer and smoother since using dermaveen. It doesn’t feel oily and sit on the skin, soaking in quickly so I can go about the rest of my day. It also goes a long way and not much is needed for each application

Waste of money! – Please do yourself a favour and not buy this product. Now I still have these red bumps. Contacted iNova and they said that they changed the formula blah blah blah. Not happy with their template response. To be honest I just tried them again and I regret every dollar Ispent. Show details

Wish I had read these reviews before buying! – Troubled acne skin, very sensitive and looking for something to calm it down. One night of this and my rosacea flared up even more. Itchy and red, unfortunately. Wish I had come to this page to read before I bought it! Product heading for the bin after one night of use :( Show details

On sale at Chemist Warehouse – I had my favourite QV in my hand but eyed off a big pump pack of Dermaveen which was on sale. I've bought it home and wish I'd kept to my other favourite. I can't stand the sticky feel on my skin even when it's had time to absorb in. I love a natural cream that works and absorbs just like QV OR Caroline's Cream. Show details

I would give it a 0 if I could – I’ve used many eczema products over the years... I just wanted a general moisturiser.. it stings and burns my face and also... the ingredient Petroleum though generally regarded as safe, the components that are removed from the oil during the refining process of petroleum jelly are carcinogenic in some cases. ... According to Denno, Petroleum jelly can create the illusion of moisturized, hydrated skin, all the while suffocating your pores Show details

Used to be 5 stars, they changed the formula and didn't let consumers know – I've used Dermaveen moisturiser for 9 years, and it's been fabulous. I purchased a bottle three weeks ago and the product smelt horrible, and felt greasy to put on, but left my skin dry. I found out that the formula has been changed and that's not been put on the label. The new product isn't great and after nine years I'm swapping to Aveeno. … Read more

I contacted Dermaveen and they stated the change was to improve the product, which is strange because previously it got great reviews, now after the formula change it's getting terrible reviews. What a shame.

New formula, changed to Aveeno – Swore by Dermaveen in the past but the formula has changed and my last bottle went in the bin. Found a product by Aveeno that is more like the old Dermaveen.

Very frustrating – Have written to Dermaveen twice and wrote on their facebook page about the new formula. So frustrating as the old formula was my go to moisturiser. I can't use the new one as I have the same issues as everyone below. From what I can gather Dermaveen don't really care as long as they're making a profit.

New found love – I have very sensitive irritation prone skin along with eczema and roscea. It have been a ten year battle trying to find daily moisturiser to suit my skin and improve it. This face moisturiser seriously helped and i can't think of anything better. It so hydrating and scentless.

Do not buy new Dermaveen – So, unaware of the new ingredient I bought a new 1ltr pump bottle last week, have been using it for two days (after using the original for years) and woke with a shocking red face, itchy arms and legs this morning unable to go to work. I feel so disappointed that the formula had been changed and causing so many problems for people. Never… Read more

Terrible DermaVeen – I was highly recommended on this product 'DermaVeen daily moisturiser' by a Rep in a chemist this month March 2018 and had been using it for a few days and my face and neck broke out in red patches, very disappointed that I was given the wrong information for my sensitive skin, it says it is suitable for all skin types. I will not buy anymore DermaVeen products.

DON'T TOUCH THE NEW IMPROVED FORMULA!!!! – In the past Dermaveen Moisturizing lotion has been for people with sensitive skin, well that worked miracles for me in the past years as I suffer eczema. Now they have changed the formula for the worse!! I used it and immediately started burning my face and went red as a beetroot. Never again I took the bottle and put it in the trash. the "Original" Dermaveen!!! It should not be labelled FOR SENSITIVE SKIN coz its not suitable and this is false advertising.

Unchanged - Original DermaVeen – Hi, I actually wrote the original review and am astounded to hear all the drama's people are having. I still use it twice a day everyday n am still buying the "original" formula that I started with. I wasn't even aware there WAS a new formula. I buy it (always have) from my local chemist. I have however noticed it being sold in some supermarkets… Read more

lately and am wondering if therein lay the difference. Next time I get the chance I will check out the ingredients list on both pharmacy and supermarket stock n if I find a change, I will update you here. Otherwise, perhaps check for yourselves n see if we can get to the bottom of this. As I said, I have super problematic, sensitive skin, but still no issue with Derma Veen from my chemist. Original formula and original great results. I'm so sorry to all those who've had a bad reaction, especially if used on my recommendation! Sorry, Karen

New formula burns skin – I have used Dermaveen for 15 years because it has been so good for sensitive skin. Like other reviews, when I recently bought a replacement it burned my skin. You can feel the consistency of the lotion is different. I gave Dermaveen the opportunity to refund my product due to not being what it is advertised. Their response was grossly inadequate and disappointing. No more Dermaveen for me!!

Changed formula is dreadful – I too am incredibly disappointed by the new formula. Why did they try to fix what wasn't broken, and then break it with a new formula! The old formula soaked in and did not sit on the skin but the new one just sits all greasy on top of the skin. Disappointed in the new formula. Burns my face! – Been using this product for many years now, I recently ran out of my old supplies and had to purchase the new bottles with the orange labels. It burns my face/skin. So disappointed as this product was the only one that worked for me. Now I'm in search of something else. Most of you probably using this product would have fairly sensitive skin so I'm sure you'd know how I'm feeling right now.

CHANGED FORMULA NO NOTICE WASTE OF MONEY BURNS SKIN – My skin is now in fire because you morons changed the formula on me. A loyal customer since 1999. Can't believe it. Do nit buy the new formula bottles. Which are not the only bottles you can get. And wow! They have the same formula as the old one now in a smaller bottle for even more money than the original big bottle!!! Very unhappy

New formula burns my skin too – I agree with the post below. I've just bought a new pump bottle and the new formula is a lot more runny and stings my skin. In the past, it used to be lumpy and not as "elegant" as the new formula. However the old formula works so well and soothes my skin. The new formula is horrible for eczema/sensitive skin :( Unfortunately won't be buying the lotion anymore.

New formula burns my skin – I have been using Dermaveen moisturizing lotion for years on my face as I get irritated skin. Just finished my bulk lot that I had here and bought a new 1 liter pump. after 15 years, looking for new product! – not happy about the formula change - will not buy again. Product now contains petrochemicals (petrolatum). It was the lack of this ingredient that drew me to dermaveen. The product has gone down hill. It's now greasy, smells bad and is nothing at all like the original formula which was fantastic.

Why did they change the ingredients? – Just recently bought a new bottle of the dermaveen moisturising lotion and noticed that it smelled different which I then realised that they've changed the ingredients. This has caused my ezcema to flare up drastically and now have severe skin rashes across my whole body. Not happy.

New formula = bad smell and burns – Crazy that they changed the formula. Smells as bad as the soaps and burns my skin now. Threw out all the NEW formula products and liking for a new brand now. Awful stuff.

Absolutely terrible – If I could give this no stars, I would. I used to use this product, it now feels as though it sets my face on fire. Whatever they have done to the formula is not working. How is this okay? All the reviews saying the same thing surely would tell the company that their product is now rubbish.

Bring back the original – I've been using this for a long time, it was the only product that worked for my eczema (eyelids). Now they have added some ingredients which have caused my eczema to flare up. Please bring the old product back, seems like alot of people agree.

It now smells, uneccessary – Noticed they've changed formula, I buy Dermaveen in bulk when it's on special, why I just noticed the change of formula. Not impressed with the new formula, it now smells and has petroleum based ingredients, something I was trying to avoid. Not happy
