Allergic Reaction – I had heard great things about Dermaveen, unfortunately this product gives my 6yo an itchy rash and hives. Not sure which of the ingredients is the culprit. Be wary of using this product on infants and children. Show details

New formula is great and leaves the skin soft! – This is one of the few shower oils I'd buy again. It has a good texture and it is not excessively greasy so it's a great balance of body wash and oil wash and quite nourishing. My skin was left soft from the 1st wash and I love the subtle almond scent, so relaxing! Show details

New Experience – I have never used products like these before but my wife picked up the Shower & bath oil and I must say I am very impressed with my skin condition since I started using it. My skin dries out very quickly as I am in the sun a lot and it looks like I will be sticking with this product. Show details

Terrible – The new formula is too thick. It won't pump or run out of the bottle in cold weather and cold weather is just when I need it. The old formula was great.

Even have to tell people how to write a review. Go suck eggs – Never buy again, recent batches if the tops won't work the formula has changed as previous customer said to thick enjine oil and contains no oatmeal. This is misleading advertising. It is being returned to the chemist and I will NEVER buy again. The original formula was GREAT. Noone asked them to change it.

Change of formula - disappointed – Used the old formula for several years, then bought a large bottle recently not knowing they had changed the formula, the old formula was better on my dry skin, New formula, not having the lovely almond smell but also noticed new formula has less oil in it no longer good to use in the bath, rang up hoping they would bring back the old formula, I loved this product but after changes will not buy it again

Contains benzyl alcohol – I also was pleased with this product ...great for my dry skin on my legs ...until I read up about benzyl alcohol...now I'm on the hunt for something without any nasties.

Best Customer Service – WOW!!!! I have just had the best experience. I am a long time sufferer of dermatitis and the best products I have found to be successful in controlling my problem are Dermaveen. Imagine my disappointment when I purchased the NEW formula Shower and Bath Oil - thick and gluggy and the smell is best described as mouldy. So instead of just moaning… Read more

about a poor substitute I decided to call the manufacturer, Inova Pharmaceuticals to discuss what could be done. I spoke to such a nice person in customer service who assured me the "OLD" formula product would be back on the shelves next month (April). In the meantime they had some stock of the OLD formula and would be happy to send it to me FOC. All they needed was the batch number from the bottom of the container. Imagine my surprise when I received replacement product within 2 business days. Happy customer. It just goes to show there are some companies who do actually listen to customers.

Dermaveen shower oil new formula – Disappointing new formula thick as engine oil but i still use it because it is better than soap. I preferred the old formula which admittedly was too gritty but i liked the almond perfume and it spread more easily.

Love it! – I have really dry skin and dandruff. So, if I wash my body, and dry it, it instantly becomes flaky and dry. Even when I put lotion or cream on it, it still becomes really flaky. When I use this, not of this happens! It's amazing! Of course, you can't use it in your hair, but I have other shampoos for that :)

Love this product – I have very dry skin especially on my legs. This product really helps with the flakiness and leaves my skin smooth and soft. It rinses off cleanly & my skin doesn't feel greasy as it does with similar products that I have tried. I use it every couple of days, not necessarily every day. I have read the reviews above - Re texture: for me, it… Read more

doesn't feel "gritty". I presume that it is oatmeal fibre providing the exfoliating effect, but it feels soft & gentle to me.

Re smell: smells like oatmeal to me, which I don't mind, but don't notice that it lingers after the shower, though my nose may just get used to it.

If you don't like the smell of marzipan, then this is NOT the shower oil for you! – I thought I'd try the Dermaveen bath and shower oil, as I liked the baby oil I used on my baby, and had run out of my bath oil. I liked the slightly gritty texture of the oil and the almost body wash like consistency (different from your traditional oil texture), but was really put off but the 'marzipan' like scent of it! Unfortunately, even… Read more

though I like the feel of it, I hate the scent and it is enough to put me off buying it again - which really is a shame :(

A slightly coconut, or Shea butter or some other nourishing essential oil scent would made this the perfect shower oil for me....

P.S their website is very disappointing and poor, but not sure if it's because I was trying to access it via my iPad and not all website functionality was available or it's normally that bad? I did want to provide them with some feedback on the scent.

Excellent hydration for shaving – I managed to try some after a friend recommended it, and its so hydrating! they said the new packaging had no smell and afterwards you would feel soft and moisturised all day. I use it as for shaving my legs as well as shower everyday companion and I have chucked out my shaving mousses!

Good for dry skin – My skin is dry and I tried so many "moisturising shower gel" but my skin was still dry after shower. So I was quite interested at this "shower oil". It does hydrate my skin better than the other natural skincare products but the only thing is the smell is not nice at all. So u won't b able to enjoy a nice after shower scent. And the price is slightly more expensive than the other natural brands like sukin

Very good bath oil – It is very soothing to my previously irritated, dry and acne-prone back. I was pleasantly surprised when within weeks all the irritations and acne were healed. I now also use it for bathing my baby. The colloidal oatmeal disperses very well in the bath water, which is definitely a plus.

This stuff really works for me... my new best friend in the winter months – I found this product to be the best thing I have ever used on my eczema prone skin, and I have used a lot of products including steroid based creams. However, it is more a preventative than a complete cure, so don't expect it to actually get rid of any eczema. I use it in the shower, but not how the directions say to use it- I turn off shower,… Read more

with my hands 'squeegee' any excess water off my skin, and then apply it (while still standing in the shower- it can be messy) to my whole body; then I just pat myself dry. Honestly the best thing I have used on my skin. Probably would not put it on my face as it could be quite clogging, but arms and legs (where most of my eczema tends to occur) can handle it. Smells nice; natural colloidal oatmeal; affordable; goes a long way. Packaging is terrible. The pump stopped working after 3 days, I had to transfer it to an old shower gel bottle.

Good – i love my bath and shower products to have colloidal oatmeal in them. i love the texture of the products. great that it is soap free and has a low ph balance. good for my dry skin in winter. so it is a great moisturiser for the skin. great for sensitive skin, the elderly and little babies. soothing and makes the skin soft and smooth. quite… Read more

affordable for a soap alternative, which is good for those of us who cannot use soap. i would recommend this to other allergy sufferers or those with dry or sensitive skin. affordable, non drying none at all

Bad – I used this product when I had a severe dermatitis skin reaction, it worked amazing at first, and soothed over my skin really well. But after my skin settled down, continuing to use this product is a huge no-no as it clogged my pores and encouraged acne, so. if you have a severe rash or really harsh skin, use this product but only in moderation!… Read more

But I recommend using a moisturiser instead. Moisturisers really dry skin, smoothes over rashes and severe irritations. If used too much, can cause clogging of the pores on any part of the body and cause pimples.

Bad – I used it for my baby's eczema and it helped, but then baby developed pimples on her tummy, upper arms and her back. I'm not sure it's caused by this product or not? smells good. forms a protective layer all over my baby's body causes heat rash as it blocks the pores. but not quite sure. will stop using it and see how it goes
