I have been using a GP3000 modified by Woody for 8-9 years now. To say I am happy with it is an understatement. A couple of years ago I managed to park my vehicle on it. I sent it to Woody thinking it was dead. 2 weeks later I was back detecting with it better than ever. He didn't just fix it but did a bit more tweaking. I owned a stock GPZ7000 for a couple of years but sold it and just use the 3000. I also highly recommend his battery pack for the SD/GP series. I use nothing else these days. I also use his excellent signal enhancer. One the best things is how easy it is to contact Dave or Woody for advice. Helped me enormously over many years to the point where I have been able help others who didn't know how to drive his mods.

I gave them my gpz7000 metal detector for full modifications ($3500) in Aug 2024. Noticed some potential issues with sensitivity. Felt unhappy. Tried to contact them by email, no reply. Didn't detect much for months until I was able to purchase another second hand detector for comparison. Now I have demonstrated on YouTube that I don't get the improvements claimed (about 33%). Google DetectorMods Review (Channel is CorBlimey!) They have been offering this service for years. They should make some similar videos to mine with proper measurements, but then they would be making specific claims.
