Helpful training and board level insight – The course videos were nice and short, but contained lots of actionable advice which helped me in creating a Director CV and applying for roles. It directly led to me gaining an Advisory Board role quickly. Show reply

Horrible - avoid – Was a member of Director Institute for 2 years, got absolutely nothing out of it, no masterclass as promised, poor or no service, used Covid as an excuse at every opportunity, promised a lot but delivered nothing. Will not be renewing again.

Get Board Ready Governance Program – I was really happy with the Bond University and Director Institute Board Ready Governance Program I undertook. It was informative and very helpful. Certainly opened my eyes up to the role and responsibility a Board member takes. Thank you for the opportunity and I hope to utilise this further in my career in the coming years.

A key part of my success for over 10 years – For over 10 years my collaboration with Director Institute (DI) has been awesome. Yes I treat it as a collaboration. The mentoring has delivered enormous value to both my personal and professional growth. I've been successful in several director roles - some found within the DI network, others through my own network. DI has been by my side all the… Read more ·  1

way to advise, mentor and support. I'm so confident about the success the team can bring, I have no hesitation in recommending DI to my network. Within the next three months I will have taken a start-up to ASX listing, and an exit strategy - it would not have happened within DI in my corner. Like any membership - you get what you put in. If you are waiting for the phone to ring, go elsewhere. If you think just buying a gym membership will get you fit, without you putting in the work - forget it! However, if you listen and utilize the vast years of experience they offer, the transformation can happen very very quickly. Success is a process not an event. Let me know if you further insight

Insightful – Kylie’s industry experience and knowledge are phenomenal. Whilst I did not participate the courses, the complimentary career assessment was insightful. During the conversation, Kylie not only laid out a potential career pathway for me to achieve my career goals, I was also shown how I could align my experience, knowledge and my career to my… Read more ·  1

personal core value. I have learnt more about myself and my career in the 30 mins discussion with Kylie than the past 4 years. Whether you are looking for a career progression opportunity, needing some assistance for career change or just needing some clarity to your current state, it is definitely worthwhile to spend the time in the one on one career assessment with Kylie.

Don't waste your time or money – I signed up for their most expensive membership: "Welcome to the Boardroom" at around $3,300 because that was the membership that would assist with "marketing and representation aimed at helping you to secure 1 x quality board appointment". At the end of the day, they didn't deliver, and stopped communicating with me in late 2018, despite numerous… Read more

emails and messages to the staff and owner herself. It wasn't until I posted a negative review in May 2019 that the owner suddenly came out of the woodwork and threatened legal action against me for defamation. At least I finally got a reply.

Do yourself a favour and steer clear of Director Institute. Securing a board role will be like pulling teeth, and you might be sued if they don't deliver and you complain about it.

Terrible – I was assured and reassured when signing up for a > $1.5k annual package of success. On line courses are useful. Postings are lamentably light and transparency is negligible. Unfortunately aspiring Board novices will be slaughtered. Board Direction affords a far greater offering, and greater transparency

After recently working with The Advisory Board Centre, they provide a far more rigorous professional approach.
