Discount Cameras

Excellent service – Discount Cameras is one of my go-to online stores for Australian stock camera equipment. I have spent a few grand with them now, and each time has been a great experience. Their website could use an update as it can sometimes be difficult to find a certain product, but other than that I have found the prices, customer service and shipping/packaging excellent.

Great... until something goes wrong – First purchase. Cheapest. Great communication (well at least their auto email was good). Fast delivery. I was happy to respond with five stars when they asked. Then I purchased something that ultimately did not fit my camera. I looked at lots of sites to see if it was appropriate and I thought it was right, but I got it wrong. So I asked Discount Cameras for advice. Is there an adapter? What can I do? Not a peep from them after two requests. Even just a 'sorry you made a mistake, but we can't help' would have been appreciated. Instead they just ignored me. Fast and Cheap does not compensate for poor customer courtesy. If you have a problem with something from Discount Cameras, don't expect them to care.

Competitive pricing and good communication – Guys please do not get put off by the look and feel of the site.They sell real cheap cameras and their communications is good. They also ship fast.(Free shipping too).

Wonderfully fast service & great prices! – I ordered a new DSLR and a couple of lenses very late on Thursday night after having issues with a different store earlier in the day. Upon adding one lens to my cart, a notice popped up letting me know it was out of stock and could take up to 2 weeks to order it in for me. I was impressed, not because the lens was not in stock, but because they actually advised me before ordering. Many online stores do not, and take your money before telling you many days later. I ordered it all anyway, because I am happy to wait for such low prices.

Early Friday morning I relieved an email stating my order had been shipped and this morning (Monday) it was delivered by Aus post in a well packaged box. Best of all, the shipping was free!

After having a difficult time with other online stores who have appalling customer service, especially "grey" sellers, I am VERY impressed by Discount Cameras. Prices are unbeatable (other stores would not price match as low as them), products are genuine Australian stock with proper warranty, and shipping is free and super fast.

Will definitely shop with them again in the future.
