What you'll order is not what you'll get – This company should be shut down! Poor and rude customer service. Product arrived a month late after numerous repeated emails following up the order. aliexpress for further $50 less. Nice game! When queried, they had the nerve to say it has the same features, and If I don't like it, i can send it back for a refund, at my own expense. After having read the comments here I'm sad I didn't check first. I'll be contacting Victorian Consumer Affairs; whilst the $130 I wasted is not a big sum, the issue i have is that these people will continue to rip off consumers through their dodgy scheme.

PAID AND NOTHING RECEIVED – 5th September 2023 ordered and paid for an item. Expected it to arrive toward the end of the month. Now end of October 2023 - NOTHING received. No phone number to contact the company, numerous emails sent, nothing They are scammers, take your money and they send a blessing, because you will get nothing else.

an Email asking why the status was On Hold when the article was In Stock and the invoice showed Paid. A few days later I got a reply stating only: 'sorry, delayed'. I replied immediately asking for the Australia Post Tracking Number. No response in a week so far. Am taking legal action to retrieve my money before too much water goes under the bridge. Dealing with whoever staffs Discount Instruments is disappointing. Their communication skills are highly lacking. They are not facilitators of good business transactions and my conclusion is that they possibly have fraudulent intent. My advice: Avoid Discount Instruments. Whoever you go with, check for Express Post options. This will generate a Tracking Number, facilitate faster freight and give reassurance as to facilitating a happy transaction.

The worst customer service ever! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! – I ordered two items on the 7th of February, a digital PH meter and some PH test strips. Package arrived on the 27th of February containing a TDS meter and no test strips. This is a completely different instrument and clearly not what I ordered. asking for a photo of the incorrect item which I duly sent off. I never heard from anyone from this company again.! I waited one week to give them time to respond. No response, so I lodged a dispute with Paypal. I also had to travel some distance to my nearest police station to have a stat dec. signed stating the exact contents of the package I received. To their credit, Paypal came through in the end and the dispute was finally settled in my favour on 13th of April. So this company had my money for just over 9 weeks and I had nothing! But wait there’s more, I had to pay the return postage for the incorrect item, so I am out of pocket for that even though Discount Instruments website makes the false claim that “In the event that a return is needed because of our error, we will pay for the return shipping” Discount Instruments website states the following; “Taking ecommerce sales and support to another level” well that’s certainly true, a very very low level! And; “you will be pleasantly surprised with the entire Discount Instruments package. We redefine online shopping etc. etc. great customer service because you are important to us. We are here for you when you need us” Nice words and a very professional looking website but they clearly don’t back up their words with action. Based on my experience with Discount Instruments (and looking at other reviews) my advice is very simple, look elsewhere for your needs, DON’T USE THIS COMPANY!! Incidentally, the one and only email I received from Discount Instruments showed the time-stamp on my original email as being sent some 15 hours previously (on a Sunday, when I hadn’t even received the package yet! So not sure which country this company is based in? possibly not Australia even though their website claims to be “Australian owned and operated”

Poor reviews – I made a purchase from this site and then a day later I read nothing but poor reviews on broken equipment sent or nothing at all. Requested a tracking number on parcel or I'll treat the site as a scam site and dispute the cash through my bank and they "say" they recalled my parcel and banned me from their site. So glad I got banned and refunded as I hear nothing works from this supplier Show details

Item arrived Damaged & they will not assist – We ordered & paid for a 4in1 ph meter in January, when it arrived damaged & looking very secondhand (had a scratched & damaged screen & probe bent & half pulled from base of unit). completed a contact email request by their website (which will not allow photos to be uploaded) to notify them of the issue. At first (several days after completing the contact form we had a reply), person who was emailing me, did so spasmodically for two weeks then seemed to disappear.

I lodged another request & new person took over (again a few spasmodic emails), then advised it was being replaced, but at this stage (March), still no sign of replacement item.

Unfortunately there has been no communication since & as much as I ask what’s going on - they will no longer respond & are clearly not interested in helping us out.

No telephone number, so you cannot call to discuss - clearly they are shrinks & are not wanting people to call them! They have our money & we have a broken & very secondhand looking item, that doesn’t work!!

Poorest customer service ever encountered, from a dodgy, trash & screwed up company who shouldn’t be allowed to trade in Australia.

Please do not purchased anything from Discount Instruments. Beware!!

Do not buy anything from this company – I ordered a ph meter which did not read accurately (vastly inaccurate), I returned it at my expense and that’s the last I ever heard from them despite repeated emails, I’m currently going through a PayPal claim, they should not be in business. Do not buy from this company.

Basically a legal Scam – Bought a soil tester off this pathetic excuse of a company. Product is a nasty cheap instrument which would never work more than 1 or 2 times without breaking. When trying to return the item they give an address that is then returned to sender. When asked about it they give the same address and advise that they will give a refund when they receive… Read more

the item. Obviously i'm not a complete idiot and i wont send it to the same dud address twice. I start a dispute with pay pal for them to then tell me a different address. Basically hoping people couldn't be bothered to go through the process to get their refund. Stay away at all costs. Still awaiting a refund and now out of pocket more than $20 in postage costs.

Received goods only after going through Paypal and letting them know I will be reporting it to Scam watch – Item ordered 23/8 no contact/communication by 27/8 emailed them [no contact number or address] with no reply. arrived 8/9 with postage date 31/8 which matches Australia post records. 2 days after being told item had already been sent 3 days ago. Looking at other reviews I believe this "Company" is not to be trusted and would advise not to deal with them. I am doing research on both the company and the review site they use [which rates them as 5 star]

Nothing delivered, no response from them – Purchased a ph/temperature probe & display. Item never arrived, contacted them multiple times with no response. Luckily payed via Paypal and was able to get refund through Paypal Show details

Worst experience ever – Faulty Product - temperature is 6 degrees out, none of the parameters are accurate, No customer Service, No refund or replacement, No communication, Worst company i have ever purchased from. Buyer Beware!!!!
