amount (of $168) and after several emails back and forth of them putting blame on the park I had stayed with (as the park shouldn't have issued me with the receipt) and avoiding answering my question, I received an email from the manager telling me that the difference between what the holiday park charged and the credit on my account (which was $168) was kept as their "commission". I would strongly advise against using this service.

Except for the Noosa Head Motel - every other motel accepted my situation and gave me a full refund. The best Noosa Heads gave me was a 6-month credit even though I won't be back to Qld for 18 months. I mentioned this to the Manager. The Manager didn't care he basically said not my problem - sell it - then he hung up on me. Be careful booking with this Motel.

was well within the 8 day time frame. Finnally after a third email I got a reply stating that the hotel doe,s not accept cancellations and asking when I would like to re book.Are you kidding!!! "Read my cancellation policy as opposed to normal cancellation policies" I repied.So I then am told that I would be charged $100 ($50 per adult) cancellation fee. The hotel that I booked has no fee if cancelled 8 days prior,I put this to them with a response of cancellation policies. Appealing to them that I only cancelled because Queensland closed the border,"not my fault"that I could not get there,plus the fact that my wife and I are pensioners and $100 is what we could toward another holiday. Deaf ears. Don,t even consider booking with these people,A fair go is not in their vocabulary. STAY AWAY

Poor customer service, will never use again and will advise others likewise! – Booked a stay at the Marriott for our 40th wedding anniversary, can not go now due to Covid 19, not our choice, we wish to go but can not. No response from Discover Queensland at all except for a Covid 19 update on their page saying travel after May 19th is not able to be changed! Simply not good enough! Show details

With this deal was 5nights for $999 2a2c I wanted to stay 7nights & paid $1400+$28 booking fee total $1428 Which works out around $204 a night.

Was worried at first as I had to book & pay in full almost 11 months out from when we can go, however I just got travel Insurents for incase I had to cancel as it does state in there policy no refunds!

After I made my booking with DQ, I rang SeaWorld Resort to confirm my booking and it was all confirmed.

I read a lot of reviews about travel agents & everyone has different experiences, it all comes down to reading the terms & condition & excepting there policy.

Thank you again Discover Queensland for this a fantastic deal, my family had a wonderful time & my child love the gift pack from SeaWorld Resort.

Failed to advise main attraction of resort was closed for our entire 2 week trip! – We booked a two week trip with Discover Queensland (Leisurecom) on 5 August for Turtle Beach on the basis of the resorts main facility, a waterpark. DQ knew from at least 26 August the waterpark would be closed from well before until well after our stay. (and the resort) through Facebook very recently, when it was too late to book reasonably priced accommodation for such a lengthy period. We did not receive back what we paid and have been offered nothing to make up for the loss we have suffered by reason of their negligence. Very disappointing experience, I would not recommend their services.

Don't book with Discover Queensland! – I booked 2 nights with Discover Queensland and carefully read the book amendments/cancellations section. I later had to change our dates and called to do this. I was informed there are different conditions much further down in the terms and conditions list for 'flash sales' and they cannot be changed or amended. Therefore we have lost our money on the 2 nights away. Show details

Don't buy a gift card here – I purchased a gift card on-line and was waiting to receive the email confirmation voucher so that I could give it as a gift. The email confirmation never arrived. I started an online chat as this was offered on this website. I sent numerous messages to my online chat person, who never responded. So I resorted to phoning on the 1800 number listed.… Read more

My purchase was confirmed but I was advised that Discover Queensland are unable to send emails to anyone with a bigpond email address due to a problem with their system. So I reluctantly gave a friend's Hotmail email address as they advised that this was the only way I could get my paid for gift card/voucher. My friend also did not receive the email as their system could not email to a Hotmail address either. This was extraordinarily poor customer service, they could take my money but could not send me confirmation of my purchase due to a problem with their system. When I stated that I wanted a refund they advised me that their terms and conditions that I had agreed to were for no refunds or exchanges. I would never recommend this website to anyone and I would recommend using a more reliable website like wotif.
