Extremely noisy inside Caravan. As loud or louder than placing your ear on the compressor upon rooftop. Have had 2 seperate Dometic service agents out who say it's just how it sounds through our Jayco caravan roof and nothing they can do. Would never install another, go elsewhere EDIT - I ended up fixing this fault personally by removing the top cover and adding more cushioning to the existing compressor mounts. It's fine now but factory should be doing this

Very Noisy and seriously struggles in the heat – Brand new FreshJet 7 on our Crusader caravan. My goodness it’s hell noisy. In heat mode it’s unbearable so we bought a $25 Kmart heater instead. Sounds like a helicopter on your roof. Now in summer we find the air con is also terribly noisy. It runs at 54 db on the lowest setting which really struggles to cool the caravan, so we cranked up the fan and the compressor but it’s so loud. Also noticed a steel grinding noise starting to happen. Very dissatisfied with this AC

Super performance – Replaced current Dometic Ibis 4 (2600wcooling) with the more powerful Dometic freshjet 7 plus at 3400 w cooling on a 22 ft Sunseeker Desert Storm. In Denham WA right now at 41 degrees going to Marble Bar WA at 48deg or there about 20.12 .24 Right now outside 41 deg Aircon setting 24deg inside Temperature inside constant 27 deg Van in full sun no shade , fantastic result , It also has got many features as such dehumidifier, Timer, and other functions , slow start an quiet We love it
Sorry Richard for your problems, I am not a business just a family member of 4 on a mega trip to WA Installed this air con for wet season up north in your area, was a little weary about noise however full crank day and feel me function night- no brainer, its the go for us Not sure why you run around with a db meter rather then say thanks for cold air,- each to his own, .. z

Update from Broome re freshjet 7 plus It’s been very humid and approximately 35-38 degrees only Aircon setting is on 24 degrees feel me function and has been running solid for 4 days Without hick up! What a great unit to date
