We have a multi system with two 2.5 units in bedrooms and one 3.5 unit in open plan living room/kitchen.
Like the energy efficiency and the design.
Indoor units are whisper quiet on the lowest fan speed, except the flaps/louvres make a cacophony of very intrusive noises (creaking, whirring, dentist drill) for several seconds when they move, eg every time the thermostat switches on/off. The problem is particularly bad in heating mode because the louvres move all the way to the horizontal position between cycles, then return to the fully down po...

It’s just like part of the furniture that blends in to your home.
Easy operation. Set & forget temperature setting. Very quiet. Cannot hear it operating. Our room faces west so copes all the summer sun on a bladder and metal roof home. It handles the heat perfectly. Heating works equally well.

Very effective, quick to warm the well insulated room, only need to have it on for an hour in the morning and the insulation maintains that temperature well, quiet. Only used the air con once and it performed well.

It's quiet. We use it when we have our wood burner on to move the warm air to where we want it. Our limited summer experience has been positive too.

It's quiet, so very quiet, and heats and cools very quickly. We put it in the spare bedroom for visitors & the grandchildren and wish it was in our bedroom. Probably will end up replacing our other 2 split systems it's that good.

Top of the range unit that really transforms your living experience
During this global pandemic disruption the home has become more important than ever. One of the most important things is to have adequate heating and cooling. With reverse cycle, there is nothing better. When choosing the reverse cycle units, there are so many to choose from and it is quite overwhelming. I am here to tell you through hours and hours of research the Avanti Plus (not the Avanti) is the best air-conditioner in the WORLD. It is on the premium end of pricing but it is premium for a reason, and you will probably end up getting the ex...
Read moretra money spent and more back in terms of efficiency savings and savings from things not going wrong with this top notch unit. There are so many features in this unit but please understand that 1. is purifies your air and 2. it heats and cools your room beautifully. Distribution of air is fantastic and it just feel so comfortable, no to mention that it is extremely quiet. I have a 2kw and a 2.5kw in bedrooms and truly cannot hear it while you are sleeping. Quick tips: In winter, put the Louver down (hot air rises) and in Summer the louver up (cold air falls). This will ensure comfort and most accurate heating/cooling. Do not get the MHI controller, get an Ambi Climate 2 - they are fantastic and you can schedule the AC to turn on at certain times through an app, even through Google. Easier to setup (no wires needed) unlike the MHI controller. Thank you MHI!Purchased in .

I bought 3 brand new units of MHI 2kw systems and one got a slight issue
Normally, I like MHI products but bit disappointed with the issue with just one unit. The said unit gives a flickering light through out even I disconnected the power for 30 minutes.

An ok unit but definitely too noisy to mount on a wall or your roof
We have a unit mounted on our first storey roof (servicing a bedroom on the second storey). When we are in the loungeroom there is lots of noise from the unit mounted on the roof above. We've had its installation double checked and the technicians say it's been installed correctly with rubber dampers. Otherwise the unit works well and we don't have any other issues

I needed to replace a bedroom split cycle air conditioner last year and came across reviews for the Avanti Plus range, and got my electrician to source me a quote. He hadn't heard of the Avanti Plus before he installed mine and has since recommended it to several other of his clients. First thing I noticed was how quiet it was, second was how cost efficient compared to the old one. It had several innovative features, it closes itself up completely with a top cover that comes down and the lower one that moves up so dust doesn't build up as it...
Read more is not exposed. It has a feature to help eliminate allergens with a Clean Air filtration cycle. It has a lot of features I've never seen before - and did I mention quiet? I was so impressed that when my family room air conditioner failed last summer, I replaced it with the 6.0 kW model of the Avanti Plus range. The smaller model in my bedroom sailed through a hot and humid Brisbane summer. I'm a convert having had many different brands and models in different rooms over the past 3 decades, so five stars from me.Purchased in for $2,154.

The focus of this review is to provide potential consumers with the reality of energy usage with this unit.
I purchased this unit for the small bedrooms (3mx3m). I was lured in by the 7 star rating but when I received the product I discovered a different energy rating picture(link below). Basically the unit uses between 1kw-2kw of power on heating/cooling. My Fujitsu uses less energy and is of the same capacity. So slightly disappointed here.
It is also quite noisy when starting and stopping due to the fancy mechanism employed. (check yo...

Read more was compared to. Like I said my Fujitsu takes less than 1kw during my testing, so I was hoping the mitsi would use the same or less. And the Fujitsu is of the same capacity of the Mitsubishi I purchased. This review is to make consumers aware of the energy rating labels recently published for this unit. All I could find online when I was purchasing was 7 stars rating ( not Mitsubishi's fault) which does not provide the detail. After purchasing the unit I received the new rating and the link is below: https://mhiaa.com.au/understanding-new-zoned-energy-rating-labels-for-airconditioners/- 3 reviews

Bought three of these units for the offspring’s bedrooms. Purchased mainly on energy efficiency rating and touted reliability. These units were very easy for sparky to install. Easy to program and fantastic on energy efficiency. Boys in particular would turn on in summer evening and run at 18 degrees all night (especially during the heatwave), sleeping under a doonah all through summer. I roasted them about electricity use but power bill was <$10 dollars more. Units are quiet inside and love the programable Directional air flow. Highly recommend this unit.

Works fine, silent running (bedroom so important). Only issue is squeaky noise when it closes shutters after turnoff. Outdoor unit is dead quiet even on hi power mode. Haven't noticed impact on power bill.

Questions & Answers
Hi, does anyone know if these units have anti corrosion coatings on the outdoor coils (gold, blue fin). I’m thinking about buying a 6kw and a 2kw and I live by the sea so this is quite important
Hi Max,
While the Avanti PLUS series don't have any additional protection, the Bronte series (which starts at 6.3kW) does include blue fin corrosion protection on the outdoor unit....
Read more You can learn more about the Bronte series below. https://mhiaa.com.au/products/series/split-system-air-conditioners-bronte-series/Why does the indoor unit vibrate and rattle when on swing mode
Hi Tim,
Really sorry to hear of the issues you're having....
Read more All split systems will produce some noise during operation but it shouldn't be excessive. A vibrating or rattling noise could indicate the unit not not being correctly level against the wall - which could be due to incorrect installation. If the sound appears to be coming from behind the unit, we'd suggest speaking to the installer who should be able to come and assess the unit has been correctly installed. If the sounds appears to be coming from within the unit, it may suggest an issue and we'd suggest submitting a warranty service request via the page below. https://mhiaa.com.au/consumer-help-centre/warranty/warranty-service-request/Melbourne retailers?

Hi Clarence,
Thanks for your comment. ...
Read more As we cover in the article you posted above, the Australian Government recently implemented new 'Zoned Energy Rating Labels' which provide users more information regarding how much energy their unit would use depending on which temperature region they're located in. One important thing to note is that while the new rating system may indicate slightly lower star energy ratings, the unit is exactly the same with the same capacity, output and energy efficiency has not changed. Using the old star energy rating system, achieves a 7 star energy rating - the highest of any air conditioner in Australia so we're sorry to hear you believe it is sill using too much power.
