Dove soap cured my rosacea
I have been blessed with good skin my entire life-- I even missed teen acne! So when I developed rosacea at 64, I was devastated. After trying more expensive treatments that didn't work, I tried Dove and two months later the rosacea is completely gone! Thank you, Dove.
A great soap, I buy it on sale and stock up as it keeps really well. Lathers beautifully on the loufa and keeps skin soft and supple.
Dove always creates quality products which won't irritate my senstive skin and this isn't an exception. They promise that the moisturising cream in the soap won't lead to the skin drying out and I've found this to be true. Also smells nice, a bit of a creamy vanilla smell, even though it claims to be unscented.
Sometimes I find it's a little more expensive than some of the other soaps and I suspect that just comes down to paying for the brand. In spite of this it is often on sale, which is nice.
I must admit once you would never have me try this mainly as it looks like soap, but this beauty bar is great, it is unscented therefore it wont irritate your skin in anyway, it does clean your skin and leave it soft but not dry I must say it does not leave your skin dry, I say that as many beauty bars do leave your skin feeling tight after you have used them, but not this one, clean and soft, I can only say it is well worth the money compared to other beauty cleansers and i like it as it is a top price and does what it says.
I am getting used to the look of a beauty bar looking like soap, this one is great as it is unscented.
This is actually one of the better soap bars around. I prefer this to the Lux one I used to use. However, it is not cheap. But that could be due to the amount of extra moisturiser in it compared to other soaps. I used to use this all the time, but have moved on to QV and Cetaphil non-soap body washes recently. However, this one is still very good. There is barely any smell, which is great. And yes, it does moisturise a lot better than any other "soap bar" ive tried (except for some goat's milk and olive oil soap bars)
moisturising, minimal fragrance, great for dry skin
Slightly more expensive than other soaps but it's worth it
This is a really lovely, top quality product that leaves the skin feeling smooth and soft instead of dried out like other soaps. It is worth paying a little extra to prevent the itchiness and dry skin that people with sensitive skin get when using bath soaps.
It is non-irritating to the skin and excellent for people with allergies or very sensitive skin. It lathers up nicely and leaves my skin softer without drying out like other soaps do.
It is slightly more expensive than other soaps but often on special. I store the cakes unwrapped so they dry out a little, then they last longer.
I've used this soap pretty much exclusively for 10 years and love it - whenever I go to a hotel or someone else's place and have to use regular soap I really notice the difference - with this one I can get away with not using a moisturiser if I have to (although my skin feels better when I do). With soap there is no way I could do that.
Lathers well; Non irritating - although I still need to use a moisturiser afterwards, but I have very dry skin; Comes on special regularly so you can stock up on the whatever size pack is cheapest; Great for face and body so you don't need two separate products (unlike a lot of moisturising body washes)
More expensive than many soaps - at full price it is too expensive
It is pretty expensive for a soap, and maybe not such a good idea if you've got a big family, because the cost will add up pretty fast. It is cheaper if you buy it in bulk packs, and then works out to be reasonable. It lathers up very well, there is no smell which is great if you get bad hay-fever, and it is a good moisturizer.
Cleans well and lathers up quickly, and it also moisturises well. It can also be bought in bulk packs, which are cheaper.
It is a lot more expensive than normal soaps.
I like this product. Although I do prefer the scented bars it does make for a nice change. I don't have sensitive skin so it didn't irritate me. It kept my skin nice and moisturised. I probably won't use this product again purely because I like scented soap, if that doesn't bother you then I would recommend this product.
It lathers really nicely and I find that it keeps my body better moisturised than other body soaps on the market.
It is pricey but it is often on special and you can purchase in the bulk packs which make it worth while.
The Dove Unscented Bar is useful for people who have skin that is sensitive to perfumes or frangrances but still want to keep their skin clean and moisturised. It moisturises just as well as the regular Dove bar and is usually the same price. Unfortunately, just like the regular Dove bar, it runs out very quickly so you need to use it more carefully than regular soap and keep it in a dry place. It is a good product and useful for people who want to use Dove but are sensitive to perfumes.
Low odour, Still cleans and moisturises as well as the regular Dove Bar
A bit pricey so buy it in the larger packs or when it is on special
I feel unscented Dove is a great product for the fact that it is unscented not only because of my sinus, but also as you get older and your skin thins and starts to irritate this soap does stop you from itching. I tried other products to help me, but to no avail, so for the past 4 years now I have been using Dove and it has made a vast improvement for me. Thankyou
I like it because it isn't scented, as a lot of scented soaps use to set off my sinuses.
It is a bit more expensive than normal soap.
Unscented soap is great for people with sensitive skin, it leaves it soft and since there aren't any perfumes, your skin can't get irritated. Although I think people with very sensitive skin wouldn't bother using soap, it's good for people who don't like the smell of soap or have mildly sensitive skin.
It's unscented so it doesn't irritate sensitive skin. I've never tried an unscented soap bar before, it's very different!
Different from the normal lovely smelling soaps, I do like a nice smelling soap. It's more expensive than other soaps.
Dove is by far my most favourite brand to use. This soap makes your skin feel so nice after you have washed with it, it is like having a really nice experience - refreshing and calming. It is really worth the money in the end if you really want a good quality product and especially if you deal with any type of skin irritation or allergy as I do from head to toe. Highly recommend it to all who want quality soap.
Lovely smell, great for very sensitive and dry skin as it is unscented, leaves skin feeling smooth and soft
expensive to buy
I have to admit that when I used this I missed the frangrance of the normal Dove beauty bar. It still worked exactly the same as the normal bar so I think it is a great product. Although I can see how the unscented bit and be good, for example if you are going to wear a perfume, so then the frangrances we not get mixed up. Still makes your skin feel lovely.
It is made out of moisturisers so it makes your skin feel really smooth and soft.
That it does not have the smell that I loved. It is expensive.
I bought this because my son has sencitive skin and both my partner and i have dry skin. While i do prefer it to other blocks of soap i think that it is a tad over-rated. rather than moisturise your skin like it claims i'd say it simply drys you skin out less than the average block of soap. It is definatly a better alternative to regular soap but it is much more expencive and I wouldnt recommend it for people with very dry or sencitive skin. i think QV wash or simular would be better for that.
its not as harsh on the skin as regular soap
I am more than happy with this soap. There are cheaper soaps however they are not as good at moisturising my skin.
dove soap its good to have a moisturisng soap thats unscented so the blokes at work cannot smell it. I have very dry skin so it pleases my wife that i use it.
I lathres up well for loofering this does make the soap disapear quick. I like that each cake is in a box rather that wrapped up in plastic.
It is a bit dearer but we usually wait intil its on sale at coles or safeway. I dont like the plastic wrapper aroudn the boxes in a multi pack. IT sabit hard to rip with wet hands.
Dove Unscented is okay-ish. Not the best body bar of soap out, but it'd do as a normal bar. Well actually, I don't think normal people should quite use this bar. Don't get me wrong, this is a really good bar of soap - if you have really sensitive and dry skin. For other people, it may be too oily as it feels like it leaves a greasy film behind.
Good soap, especially for skin easily irritated.
Does get finished easily, although that could be helped. Pricey to use as a full body soap. May get a little *too* mosturising for people with normal skin, especially oily type skin.
I have sensitive skin due to eczema and find that standard soap both dries and irritates my skin.
On this basis I use Dove Bars and find that they do not irritate or dry my skin. having an unscented version is good because it is more conservative for people with sensitive skin.
The only negative things I can say about the Bar is that it dissolves very quickly in water and has a high price.
A very gentle cleanser that doesn't irritate my skin which suffers from eczema.
The price is high and the product dissolves quickly in water so it doesn't last very long at all.
I probably wouldn't buy this type of soap again. I am happy with cheaper and less moisturising bars on the market.
That it is a moisturising bar. Unscented is a good thing too for those that may be allergic to some scents.
I never feel like I can get all of it off. It believe it is too moisturising for my skin type.
I would recommend this soap to use on the face and hands, particularly for anyone who has dry or sensitive skin. It is good for cleansing after removing makeup too. As far as being a full body soap it is just too expensive and quick dissolving to be a very good option.
It is a very nice soap to use, but considering the price and the cons I can't give it a very good rating.
The price is more than other soap brands and the bars are quite small. It dissolves very quickly in the shower and doesn't last long at all.
