Simply doesn’t work – As someone who has always slept hot, this product seemed like would be worth the premium to finally have a comfortable sleep. Unfortunately that is not the case, the gel itself will heat up in less than 5 minutes making it actually worse than a regular pillow. I’ve persisted for months to see if I would get used to the pillow to no avail. Would not recommend at all - you’re better off going with something made from a more breathable material.

A great pillow but not so cool – It took a week to get used to a new pillow and now I absolutely love it. The shape and height are comfy. The new smell went away after a week or two. I sleep great now. No readjusting required. The only negative is the cooling gel eventually warms up to body temp and then feels like it holds the warmth. Brilliant pillow – I love this pillow. Its only now that I'm writing this review that i realise my neck and back do not bother me as much any more. I sleep like a log. It took a couple of days to adjust but I still slept great. I considered taking it on holiday, as I don't like to be without it, but don't in case I leave it there. so I slept on the reverse side. Then my son asked if he could try it out - he didn't want to give it back! So, I ended up buying another one. We really like them. The ones I bought both had velour covers which are now old stock. The new ones have a mesh cover which is apparently a lot cooler than the velour. So, if you're reading these reviews and put off because of the negative comments, it's worth noting that Tontine have tried to resolve the issue by replacing the cover. I'm not a hot sleeper so I quite like the soft velour cover.

the time as to how this concept could possibly work and after retiring it after a week I reckon my scepticism was pretty well founded. The pillow itself is very dense, heavy, hard memory foam. I'd go so far as to say that is is probably quite good quality if that is your thing. You would be in real trouble if you ended up on the receiving end of one of these in a pillow fight.

The problem that I was dubious about was the allegedly cooling gel top. It's just a silicone gel encased in plastic cover and laminated to the top of the pillow. The result of this design is that your head rests on a non-porous plastic surface which will (and does) end up hot and sweaty. Sure, its gel filled which will for a little while feel cool, that is at least until it is warmed up by the users body temperature. Once its up to temperature it’s a hot, sweaty AND outrageously expensive mess. The gel pad is basically the same thing as a gel mouse pad.

Granted, I'm a hot sleeper but I would think that would make me part of the target market for this product, as are you if you are considering it. This product does nothing to alleviate my problem and quite frankly, it exacerbates it. Every night I used it I woke in a pool of sweat and the nights in question were not exactly warm.

This is a gimmick, to claim that sleeping on a non-porous plastic surface will cool you is just silly if you think about it. Basically akin to wrapping your pillow in cling film.

your head from getting too warm while you sleep. My boyfriend's headaches have subsided and my quality of sleep has improved. I've read on other reviews that the pillows had a strong smell, I don't know what they are talking about. There is a slight 'foam' smell when you take them out the bag, but airing them for a few hours did the trick. A great product and well worth the money.

however both complained the next day that their pillows needed replacing. Both pillows are now not being used and will end up in trash.

The pillow has no resilience. Its like sleeping on a wet towel.

sometimes I don't want to get out of bed to get to work because of the comfortability. The pillow moulds to the shape of your head/neck and supports your shoulders... I cannot fault this pillow. I love it reliable, very comfortable, inexpensive, better sleep
