The cords that control the fan speed & osolation Snaps after 13 months use. They need to be upgraded to withstand weathering. Unable to purchase replacements & no doubt it would cost more to replace than a replacement fan. The guard corrodes badly otherwise a powerful fan Show details
This fan is incredibly powerful, it’s perfect to cool my bedroom, it is a little noisy, but it’s not too noisy; bought it from Bunnings and certainly consider it’s worth it’s price; as an industrial fan I’m sure it’s not intended to be used in the bedroom. — Seems like it’s really well designed and is excellent for cooling my bedroom on a hot night; certainly is as good as ten fans like some of it’s reviews say! It’s a great edition to your home, provided you use it correctly – Dynabreeze 600mm Black Industrial Drum Fan This review is broken up into a number of sections that will give you the user (you) to use your preferred browser's "Find on page" function to skip to the area of interest. and 2021, so upon writing this review, I’ve had this for quite some time and it still works while in comparison with others who have experienced issues. My reasoning for purchase at the time and its continued usage to this very day, is intent to be used inside my home gym which is within a compact single garage that previously was used to house a car but during the mad days upon the pandemic, it was a no brainer. One day, at work, I saw a Dynabreeze branded fan being used and it dawned upon me that this was something to consider as part of my gym setup. At first I thought it was an overkill, but I would soon realise that this would ultimately meet all of my own and my partner’s requirements. So one day, I went to the local Bunnings, saw the price, then saw the specifications on the colourful packaging and decided to purchase it on a whim.
[The Product] The packaging was perhaps a little too good to be true; though upon opening the box, the fan unit, metal stand stabiliser and manual were quite straight forward in putting it together. Although the only thing that I did not like about it was the fact there was a strange oily smell and secondly, the country of origin upon where it was manufactured from, did not bold too well in my mind leading towards questioning relating to the overall quality and build.
After setting it up, the unit came with two metal handles on the top of the unit, which made it very easy to move around.
Although the unit, does what it claims, I would not keep this in the range of young children, this is NOT something that should be left unattended without adult supervision. This is due to the fact that there are open vents, the fan blades are metal… and well, I’m sure the level of imagination can easily become someone’s worst nightmare.
Nevertheless, this unit, set up in a single car garage for my gym set up, works wonders when it is used correctly. As the unit draws a large amount of power; if your dwelling does not have 3-phase power or a trip meter to isolate potential power outages, then either get something smaller or create a schedule so that others within your dwelling won’t be prone to turning on high-capacity appliances. In our case, if we use a dryer in our laundry whilst upon the same time operating this fan, it will cause a power outage with half our metre tripped.
[The Package] It came in a basic box and following an easy-to-follow instruction guide to assemble. It took me about 10 minutes to put it all together. [The Pros(+) vs Cons(-)]
The Pros - we have it set up on level 1, powerful enough for our use to keep ourselves cool during warm to hot seasons - small foot print and does not consume a great deal of floor space - many fan settings - fan can pivot - has handles so can easily be moved as well as a metal stabiliser with wheels.
The Cons - dangerous to young children and small pets – relocate to a safer place and keep it supervised whilst in use; - as there is a strange oily smell from ours, suggesting to turn it on to blow and/or reduce the smell. - the amount of electricity it pulls from the grid, if you have 3-phase power or a trip meter
[The Final Thoughts] While there are perhaps other options out there that can perhaps do a better job. I purchased it at a time when the pandemic came and supply was a major factor involved. It was expensive, but upon its usage which ranges between 1 to 4 times a week; I have not experienced any problems other than what I have mentioned above.
If you were to purchase one or consider in doing so, if you can find a supplier that can provide you with a demonstration, I would definitely recommend that before making any further decisions or purchase considerations.
What a complete dud – Had 3 of these and barely last a year to 18 months.. Start going very slow then burn out completely.. I'd Expect better when u pay u to $100 .wont be buying another Show details

My son has one that did same thing and now doesnt work??? QA failure bad batch got through. I know Planned obselesance is a thing, but this is pushing it!!! Show details
Choose another, or keep receipt handy – Bought this fan Jan 22nd, lasted 24hrs - kid you not! My partner's returning this back to Bunnings for a full refund as I write. The power of it was fine...whilst it was operational. Noise level okay, given it was only used in the kitchen area, not a bedroom. I felt reasonably comfortable buying it seeing as it came with a 3 year warranty,… Read more
but even with that, I will never buy another product from this brand again, just to avoid the chore of having to return it again.
Only lasted twelve months fan would not turn with out pushing it then it starts to smell like burnin – Fan worked well for twelve months then started having trouble , had the blades pushed to get started then it started to smell like electronic burning. Will never but this brand again and will advise family against this brand of fan. We have purchased other brands same time different supplier still going well, no problems. Show details
Broke down after 12 months – This fan was great until it simply stopped working altogether after exactly 12 months almost as though it had a built in stop work button. Very disappointed ☹️ I will not but another dynabreeze product made in China obviously. Recently bought a Dyson. Much more expensive but excellent product with a long guarantee. Show details
Insane – This thing is insanely powerful. I use it to cool down my bedroom as we don't have air conditioning in the bedroom. The only down side is that it is so loud but then I am betting that it is probably not intended to be used in a bedroom anyway. Show details
Greatest Yet – This is way better than twenty normal stool fans put together with its high powered speeds which actually have an effect, it is not the quietist but not too loud either, we loved this fan so much, we went back to Bunnings and got another one, would recommend to anyone!! Great Value for Money! Show details
Good Floor Fan – Was on the lookout for a high flow floor fan. This one was advertised by Bunnings, for $107.00. Pro's; Moves a lot of air. For indoor use, low is mostly sufficient. Well balanced blades. No real rotational vibration or rattly noise from fan grille. Not too noisy, but not as quiet as some plastic units out there. Motor housing warm, not hot,… Read more
after an hour of high speed.
Rubber feet x 4.
Front three speed and on/off control unit, easier than searching behind the fan for the controls.
150W motor is not a sealed unit. Could be serviced and lubricated by a QUALIFIED small appliance tech person.
Fan can be adjusted from horizontal right through to vertical.
A three year warranty according to the instruction book.
Cons;
Maybe a bit noisy for a light sleeper, I can sleep through an average thunderstorm.
'Chrome' on mounting isn't. Looks to be an average ' silvery ' plating, but ok all the same.
Cable ties securing cable from motor to switch not trimmed properly. An easy fix with some scissors.
One of the three blades on this fan was slightly bent, but easily straightened with care.
Summary;
A Chinese fan but with a slightly upmarket feel and presence. Nice silver finish. I like good air flow in the bedroom at night and this fan provides it. For longevity, only time will determine that. For me, the price was reasonable, but that's a purely personal view.
