I love my airstrait! Didn't love the sonic considering how fast it died. Hopefully the airtrait won't dye on me any time soon. But I reckon I'd still buy the airtrait again. It's basically a hairdryer but you don't need a brush. Comes out soft and… Read more ·  2

smooth. You don't need to put in as much effort as you would when using any other hair dryer and a brush. I even stopped using my airwrap which I thought would be easy to use. The best tip I have for 3b hair is stick to small sections. I sleep with my hair wrapped and it looks great the next day. I only straighten the front of my hair with a hair straightener to make it look better in the morning. I also have a suspicion that my hair isn't getting as oily so I don't need to use it as often.

Follow-up  · I think drying time takes a little longer, not by much. I'm normally working on my hair for an hour. This might take an extra 15 mins. Not a big deal. It's just so much effortless so I'm glad I get a better results, compared to a standard hair dryer. It feels like it takes longer cause I'm doing small sections and going over them a few times. I… Read more

Received this as a Christmas present and for the price im shocked at how awful it is. Great marketing to pretend its a great product but a normal hair straightener is simply better! i went back to using my sas straightener and gave the dyson up. dont waste your hard earned money Show details

I actually love this. I think if you love spending lots of time on your hair get the airwrap, this is such a quick and easy to use product. I use it daily and it takes 5 - 10 minutes from wet to styled! Love it and it didn't damage my hair. Great product. Show details ·  1

My husband purchased the Dyson Airstraight for me as a Christmas gift. After approximately two weeks of use, the machine began making a strange noise when the airflow would intermittently cut out, as if the motor was failing (a ticking noise). I contacted Dyson and requested a return label to send the machine back. While waiting for the refund to… Read more

be processed for the first machine, we ordered a second Airstraight. The second machine arrived late last week. When we opened the box on Saturday morning, the machine felt immediately loose and unstable. It did not feel sturdy at all and it honestly appeared as though it had been disassembled and poorly reassembled.

We contacted Dyson customer service again on Saturday morning to request the refund for the first machine which was sent back and request a return postage label for the second machine. Dyson advised that the refund do the first machine can take anywhere between 10-15 busy days before it can be processed, (which is not good enough).

We are now effectively out of pocket approximately $1,000 for two machines that are either faulty or poorly manufactured.

My advice: DO NOT purchase the Dyson Airstraight. The technology is extremely disappointing, the build quality is very poor and the customer service experience to date has been terrible.

Great product, sleeker hair, espeacially with curly hair. But heavy/bulky cord so a pouch for storage should be included, like most straighteners. Otherwise a great product. Show details ·  1

It's okay. Impressive straightening on my short, wild, wavy-frizzy hair and very forgiving. But, it's heavy, noisy and the plug is HUGE. I can't use it in my bathroom cos my plug is too close to my vanity. Show details

Honestly this tool is a game changer. Acting as my dryer and straightener all in one it has now cut my styling time in half. It works in minutes, has my hair feeling softer and smoother than ever and I cannot recommend this product enough! Show details ·  1

After much excitement at purchasing this as a Christmas present for my daughter in the 2024 Black Friday sales I was “ underwhelmed”. This product leaves the looking amazing initially but the styling doesn’t last. Within 6 uses the cord began to twist to the point of pulling out of the power socket despite being stored laying flat in its own… Read more

drawer. Within a dozen uses the circuit breaker in the device stopped it working ! Dyson customer service has been terrible with refusal to refund a product that clearly is faulty. Do not buy this product and if you do decide to buy it I urge you to buy it from a third party who will at least provide you with Customer Service which complies with Australian consumer Law .

Amazing Dyson Airstrait – I have previously bought both the straightener and wrap from Dyson and have been very happy with both. This new appliance combines the functions of a hair dryer and straightener in one. Once I worked out how to use it, this took a little time, I have been so pleased that I bought it. It doesn't quite replace the other two but it's very close. The time taken to dry my hair is less now and the results are better than with the dryer alone. Show reply

Outstanding – I cannot recommend this product enough if you have hair like mine. I have fine hair but a lot of it and it is very frizzy. I used to dry my hair and then sometimes staighten it. After watching some YouTube videos I finally figured out that my hair simply does not like the two step heat generated when doing this. I can easily use the airstrait to… Read more ·  1

just straighten my hair from damp, it is not perfect but it OK for an everyday look and a much better look as opposed to simply drying my hair which made it look like a frizzy mess.

If I want my hair perfectly straight, I use the airstrait and then quickly run my cloud nine over it and all up it takes 15 minutes.

As a bonus, my hair is so much softer and less damaged looking since using the airstrait.

It takes some practice to get your rhythm when using this and you must read the instruction booklet or instructional videos. I think I watched thirty before I took the plunge and bought one.

At $749.00 this is not cheap but if you have the financial means to buy it, I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Hair styling game changer – Dries and straightens simultaneously. I have very thick and long hair and this has halved my styling time. It is definitely worth the hefty price tag, as no need for salon visits. Dyson have done it again. Show reply
