Terrible product and even worse service… – Unfortunately zero stars is not an option, if it was, that’s what I would give it. There are people out there who rave about this product, but it is awful. Sadly, I relied on those five star reviews when I decided to purchase this product as you cannot try before you buy. I felt comfortable buying the AirWrap with the piece of mind knowing it came with a 45 day money back guarantee if I did not like the product. I returned the product directly to a Dyson Service Centre two days after I received my purchase because I was extremely disappointed and sought the money back guarantee. It was there that I was informed my product is not eligible for a refund under the 45 day money back guarantee because it was personalised with my initials. I should clarify that the product itself does not have this personalisation on it, only the storage box it comes in. I was not aware of this at the time of purchase, and what is extremely concerning is that when you buy the product via the Dyson website, the purchase process encourages you to do the personalisation. With the benefit of hindsight this now seems like a clever form of marketing and entrapment on Dyson’s part. I have tried to contact Dyson to raise a formal complaint. I’ve tried via phone but gave up after 1 hour of being on hold. I then requested via their Messenger account (which is accessed via their website) to advise me of their complaints process and who I should contact, I’ve had no response after three days. The service representative at the Dyson Service Centre told me I would be contacted as I requested a partial refund to deduct whatever the value of the storage box is - two weeks on, that contact still hasn’t happened either. All I am seeking as resolution is either a partial refund or to swap it over for the Dyson hairdryer. As it stands, it is now two weeks of me going back and forth and Dyson are still in possession of my returned product! So I now have no product, no refund and no resolution of any sort! Considering it is such a ‘high end’ product at an extremely expensive price point, I expected a better product not to mention better service. I believe I am being fair and reasonable in my expectations and I have been left with no choice now but to escalate my issue with the consumer complaints commission.

Love this it makes styling hair easier – Love using this my coordination for using a brush and hairstyler is limited so love the fact I only need to use the one hand my hair is wavy so to straighten my hair is a dream with the airwrap

Doesn't live up to the hype – My mum got me the Dyson Airwrap Complete Long as a gfit. I will start off by saying, I have always loved doing my own hair and am very confident with all hair tools. The Dyson Airwrap DID NOT work for me despite all my efforts, however it's more the customer service I received from the company that was the most disappointing. I was of the understanding that Dyson came with a 45 day guarantee. But I have come to relise that this guarantee only applies to online purchases made directly through the Dyson website, not a department store. So something to keep in mind if you are expecting to use the item and return it, if it doesn't work. A department store will not accept the return of a 'used item'.
I contacted Dyson and they advised me I was using the device incorrectly. I explained I had spent many hours watching Dyson videos and had even purchased extra clips, products and tools to try and work around the fact that the curls DO NOT HOLD. I tried everything and honestly it was the biggest waste of time and money. Dyson put it down to user error and referred me back to the department store. The problem is, the department store has a 30 day returns policy and the item has to be in re sellable condition. Which contradicts the 'Dyson Guarantee'.
Very disappointing. Save your $900

Hi Krystal, We're disappointed to hear you've not had the curling results you hope for with your Dyson Airwrap™. The styler uses powerful airflow and gentle heat to produce a soft bouncy curl - similar to the effect of a blowout with a round brush. It can be helpful to use a little product, like a soft mousse or volumizing product in damp hair before styling, and finish with a little hair spray or texture or shine spray if desired.
Most important is making sure you work with the hydrogen bonds in your hair. Temporarily break the bonds with water, by having them slightly damp when you begin - about 80% dry, where the strands are separated but cool to the touch. Once they're dry and warmed through on the barrel, try to keep the curled shape intact as much as you can until it's fully cool. Leave the curl on the barrel for a bit longer, or drop the curl into your hand and hold it for a while before dropping it, or clip the curl for a while.
Have you tried curling a smaller section or holding the Airwrap in a different way - horizontally rather than vertically. If your individual hair strands are very fine and/or if curls tend to drop out quickly, we'd suggest looking at the narrower 20mm barrels, which are sold separately.

It's fun to use – The airwrap dry's hair well and is easy to use to curl your hair. I just love it. I only have mid shoulder blade length hair and am glade I bought the long version. I am going to sell off my GHD straightener, hot sticks and heated rollers which are all harder to use. The storage box, however is complete heavy junk for landfill. Why would any women want this? I want quick, easy, light weight access to tools in the bathroom - soft bags or hanging storage like I have for my hairdryer.
