Most expensive hover we have had great pick up but forever getting blocked. You need a degree to fix – Never paid so much for a hover. It constantly gets blocked. That would not be a problem but its impossible to do the work yourself. You really need to call out a Dyson engeer which then means waiting having the house a mess. wrong I will not even look at it. We had a Vax she traded it in Why? six screws any problems simple could fix it myself.Will never buy another Dyson again.

Good – I love this cleaner. I am constantly amazed every time I clean my floors how much it picks up even when I think the floors are not that grubby. So easy to use and empty. No fuss with bags etc and I always know my floors are much cleaner after a whizz over with my Dyson. Easy to use. Fantastic cleaning power. Easy to empty. A bit bulky to get under furniture and into corners.

Terrible – Sta rted falling to pieces at the end of warranty. I persisted with it for a few more years but found i was sending it back for repairs approximatly every 6 months. Continiously the turbine fan would fly apart disintergrating the casing efficient when working (in one piece) Constantly breakingOverpriced for the quality

next to the skirting boards, it's clumsy to fit attachments and extract and retract hose, a nightmare to vacuum stairs (and potentially dangerous), non retractable power cord. My cleaning lady won't use it - she calls it "that contraption". Fortunately, I also have an excellent Miele cleaner that she likes.

Excellent – I would never buy another brand of vacuum cleaner after having a Dyson. Apart from the obvious plus of no dust bag, it definitely gives a superior clean to carpets than most models. but Dyson sent me the part by mail (they are really helpful). A Perth-based servicing outlet does a brilliant job of fixing Dysons at a reasonable cost, and when the last thing went wrong I paid to have it fixed rather than get a new, cheaper cleaner for the same amount as the repair as they guarantee what they do. Good pickup (picks up dog hair), upright and bagless design. It is too bulky to go under some furniture, which doesn't bother me, but you can purchase a separate attachment that is flatter (I think).

Excellent – I love my upright dyson, it's easy to push, has heaps of different attachments so can do more than just the carpet, I have never had a problem other than things getting caught up under the head. Great sucking power, it's bag less and comes with heaps of extra attachments. Stuff get tangled inside the head, hard to get into corners and under furniture.

Excellent – I've had mine now for nearly 8 years. I've had to have the hose replaced I think twice, and it's had a refurbished(?) motor put in it. But for the amount of work that it's done (everyday use), I'm not complaining. The instruction book is very clear too. And when I needed to get a new motor, I just took it to the nearest service center near me, and it wasn't all that expensive to get replaced either.

The vacuum cleaner has excellent sucking power and it's amazing what it picks up. I took it to my mum's who thought her carpet was clean!!! I detach the wand handle, put the hard floor tool on the end, and "sweep" my lino floors. The large brush tool is excellent for curtains as well. The onboard attachments are so easy to pop on/pop off.

They have certainly designed this vacuum cleaner with ease of use in mind. I can't fault the design at all.

Twice a year I hand wash in cold water, the filter, and all the other easily removed components.

It is easy to empty the dust bin.

Until I purchased this vacuum cleaner, I HATED vacuuming. Surprisingly my love of this vacuum cleaner, has changed my opinion of vacuuming. And I've raved about it to so many of my friends, that they have also gone out and bought one!!!

In my opinion, this is THE best vacuum cleaner on the market!!

I've used the smaller barrel Dyson, but I must say I prefer the flexibility of the upright - the dust bin is bigger, and I like having the option of using the upright for quickness, and the hose part, for the more traditional needs (eg when using the crevice tool, sweeping lino).

I purchased the optional hard floor tool, which is perfect for my lino floor. The accessories you can buy for the vacuum cleaner are excellent, and if one little bit breaks (ie hose), you just get another one and replace it (which is so easy to do)

Overall I am more than happy with this vacuum cleaner - it is amazingly well built, sturdy, does a fantastic job.

Next vacuum cleaner I get will be the latest upright Dyson. I love everything about this vacuum cleaner. It's the best thing since sliced bread. Not only does it look great, it works like nothing I have experienced prior to this vacuum cleaner. I classify my Dyson purchase as one of the best things I've bought in my life - it really is that good. There is nothing negative about it - it's a brilliant vacuum cleaner

powerful action that spared my back from aching. I became far more willing to vacuum instead of putting off a dreaded chore. There is nothing I dislike about it.

satisfying - never thought i'd say that!! Overall would buy it again and again and recommend it to everyone. They are expensive but well worth it in performance, reliability and ease of use. Great in so many ways. Firstly it actually cleans and picks up so much dirt from the carpets. Its really very quick to start vacuuming, just plug in and go - no hoses to put together. It's easy on your back and easy to put away and easy to empty. I love my Dyson - call her debbie!. I've had mine 7yrs and still going strong. Can use it on hard floors with no problem. Some users might find the head bulky if used to getting under furniture but I don't find this a hassle personally

Excellent – Worth buying. If this one ever carks after what i put it through,I'm lining up to buy another!!! 7 years I've had this vacum and I use it almost everyday!!! My kids use it!! I have also used it for unimaginable purposes such as cleaning out firplaces, also during renovations, vacumming up sawdust, grit, sand you name it I've probably sucked it up!!! Replaced the hose last year. No wonder after so much work.
