5 Peter  · Love this Vac – The light at the front is awesome. Makes it so easy to see the dust and dirt. Much more suction than previous dysons I've had.
3 Megan  · Laser just a gimmick – If you have alot of natural light in your house you wont even see the laser. Much prefer my outsize
2 John  · Does the job but the worst design to hang on for a period of time – It does the job but the way its design it gave me a blister in two spots.

After a previous problematic V15, Dyson replaced the item (out of warrantee) and the new vacuum has been operating fault free for 7 months. Thanks Dyson. I have always had prompt and courteous contact over issues and orders for many years, and this was my 3rd Dyson in 25 years. Excellent response to my problem - they had already replaced many faulty parts, but problems continued. Show reply

I purchased this product in June 2021. I have had 2 previous Dyson vacuums (both barrel) which absolutely no problems, one of them is still going strong 16 years later. The V15 was double the price of the barrel Dyson, and is constantly failing. The V15 has had nothing but problems. Feb 2022: Power Unit replaced; Sept 2023 Body replaced; May… Read more

2024 battery replaced, April 2025 Body replaced again. While Dyson support have replaced all by the latest body replacement free of charge, and discounted the 2025 Body replacement, it's not acceptable to have a machine that just doesn't perform as it should without constant parts failure. I love the convenience of a stick vacuum, but will certainly be cautious about what to replace this one with when the inevitable next part failure occurs. I am so disappointed with Dyson and their stick vacuums are clearly not of any useful standard. This machine should have been totally replaced.

O.M.G Just Amazing – When the opportunity arose to test drive the brand new Dyson ultimate vacuum how could I not jump at the chance. Having just moved 1300kms north to an area with more dust than blue couch grass, the timing could not have been any better. These conditions are certainly right up there with giving this machine a thorough testing. We've had a Dyson V8… Read more ·  1

for a while now and were quite impressed with that one and we have had the orange upright Dyson previously but when the V15 Total Clean first got turned on it was like watching an old Friends episode as my wife was doing a Janice impersonation "Oh My God" as the more powerful V15 swung into action and the rare sight of smiles on peoples faces as they vacuum was well and truly evident.

Now, in a house of hard tiled floors and red dust in most places the Dyson V15 has certainly proved its worth. Upon arrival the Dyson V15 as expected was immaculately packaged with numerous attachments (picture attached) that have all had a good working over. We even got an old rug out of storage (as shown in the photo below, ran the old house vacuum over it first and then we attacked it with the Dyson V15 and as seen in the pictures, what it picked up was astounding. We were a bit concerned though as to whether it said good things about the Dyson V15 or bad things about us. Never the less, the results are astounding and no matter how many times we use it we are still amazed and still have the smile upon the face.

Let's get to the real fun, the laser, as shown in the video link, we swept the floor with a broom then turned off the light (you don't have to do this but it did seem more dramatic) and set the Dyson V15 with the laser detector onto it and it certainly detects the dirt that you would normally miss and with the high power suction available it removes it straight away.

One of the major reasons we love this machine is due to the swivel head and not having to readjust your position to get the vacuum going where you want it, the head easily moves around and doesn't feel flimsy as it basically guides itself into position. Shown in the Youtube video link below

https://youtu.be/XHEAyqUTygA

The larger capacity dust bin is a Godsend and emptying it is easy and doesn't miss the target either and require another clean up.

The attachments all do their jobs great and without typing "War & Peace" it is a lot easier to just state that their jobs are self explanatory and they do them very well, but you will find yourself going to the laser detect as let's be honest, it makes this so much more fun and that is a rare thing when you talk about vacuuming.

As stated earlier we do own a Dyson V8 as well and at first use the V15 felt amazing, the suction power superseded our expectations. Even the kids line up to use it in their rooms (in the dark of course so the laser can make them feel like they are in Star Wars). I was sceptical about the laser as I did think it was going to be more of a gimmick than anything but I will be the first to admit that I was incorrect and whilst it is fun it certainly does the trick.

Battery life is outstanding as we can do the four bedrooms, hallways, kitchen, lounge and dining on a single charge and the added bonus of having an on screen display with battery life on it certainly helps. Some of the other displays on the screen are beyond me but they do look good and having the ability to change the power settings of the Dyson V15 make it truly adaptable to each situation. This is shown how easy it is on the following Youtube video

https://youtu.be/7Cos4nwxmHA

Overall, is it worth the $1399 (well that is what it is going for near us at the moment) ? If it is in your budget and not beyond your means it is definitely worth it and we couldn't recommend it highly enough as not only does it do a great job but it is actually fun to use and how great is it to have kids actually fight over a vacuum cleaner ;) .

A few months on and everything is still going great, the Dyson V15 is still doing an amazing job and the only issue we've had is forgetting to put it on charge, but it charges quickly so we don't have to wait long to use it.

Dyson still the king! – The new Dyson is both incredible and eye opening at the same. The suction has literally "sucked" new life into our carpets and rugs too the point we have contemplated just how far its cleaning powers can go. Cleaning has never been more fun. disappear is both cleansing and satisfying to the point that you start to relax and enjoy the experience. Yes the product is priced on the high side but the saying you pay for what you get has never been more true. If you have the money and in need of a new vacuum, look no further.

OMG what a difference – Bought this Dyson because of the great reviews. With my Electrolux stick one I got the (new) carpet & hair tangled in the head roller with this Dawson has an automatic cutting feature for hair and carpet fibre before it sucks it up. I vacuumed this morning with my Electrolux and then mopped. Same day I’ve vacuumed the carpet with the Dyson in my carpetted bedroom only, and this is what I got! Dyson's hi-tech flagship with features including a "laser"! Designed like a sci-fi weapon: gimmick or practical? – PROS • Cordless • More attachments than with standard packages • Laser allows you to easily see dirt and hair • Has sufficient power to rival corded vacuums • Multiple vacuum heads with rotating brushes to suit different jobs • Finetuned anti-tangle brush heads minimise hair tangling • Good battery life vs. other stick vacuums. Has intelligent… Read more

management of battery power (when set to Auto/Med) • Displays approximate remaining usage time • Charging dock makes it convenient to charge and store • Charging dock also holds a couple of attachments • Simple clip allows a couple of tool to be handily attached to extension wand

CONS • Heavier than cheaper units • Heavier up top means more weight on your hands • Some resistance to pushing on carpet • No light on 2 out of the 3 vacuum heads • Premium pricing • Can't stand up on its own without optional extra floor dock • Not as convenient as a handheld vac for instant spot cleaning (*unless you store it on charger with a handheld accessory - see review details)

Having four girls with long hair in the family (plus a couple of cats and now a shedding dog), I was keen to try out the anti-tangle technology from Dyson's flagship cordless vacuum, the V15 Detect. Read on to get my observations as to the effectiveness of that claim.

UNBOXING & FIRST IMPRESSIONS

The Dyson V15 is a quality unit and it's obvious as you open and unpack each component. While the components are plastic, they have a solid finish and all the parts snap together with a satisfying click, and unsnap just as easily. There's a Quick Start guide in the form of an accordion leaflet with clear diagrams, and a mysterious white envelope with a large brochure of safety instructions and warnings because of the "laser".

While Dyson products have a consistent style design, this was the first Dyson vacuum I had ever owned and the vacuum unit looks and feels like some sci-fi weapon in your hand! So the concept of having a laser attachment seemed appropriate!

The unit feels very solid and reasonably comfortable in the hand, but it does feel a slight bit more weighty than other stick vacs such as the Shark IZ202 I reviewed earlier. This is partially due to a heavier battery as well but that is reflected by a more generous battery duration.

There is an "Apple-esque" minimalism feel to Dyson's design and presentation.

INTUITIVE?

One vital element of good design in modern products is how easy it is to use straight out of the box. The Dyson V15 is definitely simple and intuitive right out of the box. So much so that the main instruction manual is not included and only available as a digital download. As mentioned previously, there is a Quick Start leaflet though, and a brochure which gives you instructions for mounting the charger (in multiple languages - which is ok except for some weird reason, it treats Great Britain and Australia/New Zealand as two separate languages so the English sections are repeated throughout!)

All the attachments can clip directly into the vacuum unit, or at the end of the extension wand for more reach. It fits in your hand like a gun and you pull the trigger to start vacuuming. Simple! If you press the single button on the back display, you cycle through the different power settings, also very simple (just a bit more involved if you hold the button down to go into the menu and other settings)

While you can figure out a lot without ever consulting the instruction manual, it does have further information on the maintenance and instructions for pulling apart some of the brush heads for cleaning, so definitely download it.

OPERATION

Unlike other vacuums we've owned, you need to hold the button (trigger) down to operate the Dyson V15. In other words, you can't just flick the switch and leave it on. My understanding is that this design is intended to help conserve battery power - a short battery life being one of the major challenges of a cordless system. Dyson claims up to 60 minutes of runtime, which is actually quite impressive for a cordless vacuum (who spends an hour vacuuming anyways?) but note that is on the lowest Eco Mode setting. But the Medium/Automatic setting can run around 40 minutes and the heavy duty Boost Mode setting it can be 10-12 minutes. It has intelligent management of power consumption which probably helps to extend the runtime, by automatically adjusting the power depending on the dirt and floor surface so all these estimated times can vary, but are definitely in the top range for performance.

I personally like the sound compared to other vacuums. It's more of a suppressed firm whoosh than a loud motor humming compared with other machines.

While holding down the trigger is quick and convenient for spot cleaning, after vacuuming a larger area of carpet or a few rooms, I kind of missed being able to just flick the switch on without having to hold on to it constantly. But that's not a major problem.

What becomes a little more challenging is that you are holding a beefier and heavier vacuum than other stick vacuums and it does not have wheels like on many corded vacuums. That being said, at least the brush heads are relatively light.

COMPARED WITH A CORDED VACUUM?

Dyson has seen fit to concentrate only on cordless vacuums, making an announcement a couple of years ago they will stop producing corded vacuums. Typically, corded vacuums are more powerful and does not have the disadvantage of running out of battery power. However, as technology advances, we are starting to see battery-powered devices give corded ones a run for their money.

The Dyson V15 seems to live up to that expectation. At its premium price ($1399 RRP in Australia), you probably don't want to buy both a cordless stick vacuum and an extra corded vacuum, and it seems we are at a stage where that might be possible. Of course, there is still limited battery life, requiring you to charge the battery (an estimated 4.5 hours for a full charge), but the suction power and optimal duration of the battery make it practical to vacuum a few rooms for an average home. Another work around if you have a large house and/or need to vacuum for extended periods on high power settings, you can purchase an optional extra battery since it's easily removable and charged on its own, either directly with the charger lead or the charging dock.

So for ease of use compared with a regular corded vacuum, I would dare say you could easily adapt to using a Dyson V15 exclusively. See the end section of this review where I have a hack to make it versatile to use as a handheld vac as well.

ATTACHMENTS AND TOOLS

Most vacuum cleaners come with some sort of crevice tool, and dusting brush tool. The Dyson V15 comes with that and more. What is refreshing to see included are a dusting brush with firm bristles - good for stubborn dirt, and a couple with soft bristles for more delicate dusting. There's a handy combination tool which easily converts from a flat nozzle tool to a soft dusting brush tool, making it quite versatile to operate without switching attachments.

Then there are three main brush heads: The main larger one they call a "High Torque cleaner head" which is multipurpose for carpet and smooth surfaces, a "Laser Slim Fluffy cleaner head" which contains the gimmicky-sounding "laser" which I'll go into more detail in the next section, and a smaller "Hair screw tool" - a great compact design good for smaller surfaces such as stairs and upholstery. It has an innovative conical shape which appears to be even more effective at preventing hair tangle than the other two cleaning heads. Finally, there's a storage clip which, as simple as it sounds, is really practical for keeping a couple of the attachments clipped to the extension wand so your favourite tools are always at hand. I've always found that whenever you had to search in the closet for other vacuum attachments, you tended to rarely use them! So this is such a simple but effective idea!

"LASER" - PRACTICAL OR GIMMICK?

The "Laser" sounds so gimmicky that I can't help always visualising Dr. Evil using air quotes every time I say it in my head! However, it was surprisingly practical and useful, especially in dimmer lighting. I have one photograph attached which shows it's still effective even in daytime lighting at accentuating debris, dirt and hair. While our dog is short-hair, we had no idea he would shed so much even in Winter! And while most of the dirt and hair is not immediately visible on our vinyl tiles, the green laser actually does an effective job of making hair and dust visible. Likewise, it makes it visually obvious which areas you have already vacuumed which has no dog hair or dust!

The laser is only available on one of the vacuum brush heads. On the other two brush heads there are no lights so compared to our other Shark IZ202 stick vac which has a "headlight", we find it more difficult to use in dim or shadowy lighting.

For people who don't need the laser or feels it's too gimmicky, there's a switch to turn it off while using the brush head.

WHAT'S WITH THE PARTICLE COUNTER READOUT?

Another touted feature is its ability to count and display a count of the particles you are picking up. I'm not actually sure how best to read this information, whether it's an average over a specific time or if it's meant to be an instant real-time report at any second. The reason I say this is because when I try vacuuming large particles like crumbs from biscuits or shelling pistachios, I would expect the bar in the graph representing large particles on the right hand side to shoot up, but it stays low and the really fine particles represented by a yellow bar to the left always remains high.

Some users find it satisfying to see how much of each sized particle they're effectively vacuuming up but because I wasn't able to correlate the display directly with large crumbs I vacuumed up, I wasn't ever sure how accurate it was. You have the option to turn off that display but it will still automatically adjust the suction power based on the size and amount of dirt particles it detects.

DOES IT REALLY AVOID HAIR TANGLE?

(Note: Whenever I use the term "brush head", I am referring to the cleaning heads with powered rotating brush heads)

Hair tangle is a big issue for anyone who has long hair and a vacuum with a rotating brush head. We own a corded VAX with a rotating brush head, and prior to that, we had an Amway CMS 2000 also with a rotating brush head - and hair tangle was the biggest bugbear, not only impeding the roller brush but a pain to maintain and remove on a regular basis!

The Dyson V15 does indeed minimise any hair tangle on the brush roller! While it's not perfect, it seems to work quite well, especially the smaller "Hair screw tool" with its conical shaped brush. So far, after a couple of weeks of use in various rooms by various family members, we have not needed to open up the cleaner heads to manually unwrap any leftover tangled hair. But if that was necessary, it's been designed to easily open up so you can disassemble the roller brush for cleaning.

EASY PEASY DIRT DISPOSAL

Dyson had already improved on dirt disposal years ago with bagless vacuum cleaners, and now, it seems they have gone a step further. When you push the lever to open the dust canister, it doesn't simply open a flap and let the dirt fall out, the mechanism actually helps push dirt out of the canister. You can repeat the closing and opening action a couple of times to help push out any stubborn dirt.

The only thing to be aware of is that because of the way the gun handle is designed and how your trigger-finger naturally rests on the trigger, it's easier to accidentally start it whenever you're holding it casually, something to avoid while emptying dust!

COMPARED WITH THE VERSATILITY OF A HANDHELD VAC?

Stick vacuums usually fall into that hybrid area between a full corded vacuum and a lightweight convenient handheld vac. The advantage of most handheld vacs are that they are purpose built and usually sitting on some sort of charger so they are always ready to go for any quick and convenient spot cleaning, like crumbs from snacks or a pet grooming itself and leaving a small bunch of fur. With a stick vac, you normally have to detach the extension wand, and locate and plug in some nozzle attachment, assuming the unit is already charged before you can pick up a few crumbs. Not exactly a convenient workflow. However, I've found that if I store my Dyson V15 in the charger dock with one of the nozzle tools directly connected (usually the combination tool since that is more versatile for spot cleaning, allowing you to switch between flat nozzle or dusting brush on the fly), it has become as convenient as our handheld vac for quick spot cleaning. Of course the extension wand and brush heads are nearby and can easily be connected for any more extensive vacuuming.

So the V15 has truly become the best of all worlds - comparable clean to a corded vacuum with the convenience of cordless, and still the versatility and convenience of a handheld vac for picking up a few crumbs or fur.

CLEAN AIR

I don't have any allergies but for those who do, the filtration is something to consider seriously, especially when you're stirring up dust.

There are two packages available - the standard one I have which is called V15 Detect Total Clean, and a second package called V15 Detect Absolute Clean. The only difference between these two is that the Absolute Clean package also includes a freestanding floor dock and a HEPA filter. At an extra $50 retail, it seems the Absolute Clean package is worth it if available.

Regarding the HEPA filter, I just had a rep from Dyson confirm, while the standard V15 Detect Total Clean package does not have a HEPA filter, it's post filtration system makes it almost as effective as a HEPA filter, removing particulates as small as 0.3 Microns! (The Absolute Clean system removes even finer at 0.1 Microns)

So for anyone with mild allergies, even the standard non-HEPA unit will probably help provide relief from fine particles such as pollen.

CUSTOMER SERVICE UNDER-RATED!

Having just got off a Live Chat support session with a rep from Dyson to confirm some of the specs for this review, there's one more positive feature many neglect to mention about Dyson products and what makes them good value despite the high price tag: their customer support!

This is the second Dyson product we've owned (the first being the Dyson Pure Cool air purifier also reviewed on ProductReview.com.au) and while I took it for granted - their customer service was reassuring. Whether on the phone or live text chat, whether confirming some specs or troubleshooting a minor fault, they excelled at providing either accurate information, or confirming with a senior team member to verify anyting they were uncertain of. That in my books is valuable and you can tell Dyson does not skimp on such service.

For other brands, it can be frustrating when you get handballed around to different departments or have to email various addresses and wait for a response to a question that the rep is only guessing at because they don't know the real answer!

CONCLUSION - IS IT WORTH BUYING?

In short, yes if you can afford it!

In this review, I have rated "Value for Money" as 3 out of 5 not because it's not good value for what you get, but more from the point of view of the average family making such a significant investment for the average household at this price point, and the lower cost alternatives available to cleaning your floors.

Previously, when I reviewed a $600 Shark IZ202, as much as I liked it, I couldn't see it replacing our handheld vac for convenience, nor replacing our corded vacuum for extended heavy-duty cleaning. But with the Dyson V15 being able to do the jobs a corded vac can with the convenience of being cordless, PLUS it can be set up to be ready to use at any moment for spot cleaning as a handheld vac, it can replace both.

There are lower priced Dyson vacuums in the market but I don't know how they compare with the V15. If you are looking for a premium machine to replace your other vacuums, then this could be a good investment for you.

Aside from being well-engineered, what you are paying for includes a large range of accessories and attachments to suit different jobs, but most importantly, the ability to be able to clean with ease and convenience. After all, lots of gimmicks and accessories become meaningless if you can't get the job done effectively and simply, but in the case of the Dyson V15, the features are actually practical (other than the dust counting display - I'm not convinced about the practicality of that - but still useful for adjusting the power automatically).

However, if extensive vacuuming is required in a large carpeted house, or you tire easily, then you may want to consider something lighter.

I will update this review perhaps a year or two from now to gauge how durable it is over time.

NOTE: as a part of the Ambassador Program, we were offered the Dyson V15 Detect for review purposes, but only expected to submit a true and unbiased review with no influence as to whether we provided a positive or negative conclusion.

Good unit – UPDATED - after some intermediate power cut outs, and replacing the cyclone head the unit works good again. Overall worth getting ———last years comments below: As per most product reviewers I read the reviews of potential buys, reviewing the pros and cons before proceeding Just like to address some of the inaccurate lower ratings, the bad… Read more ·  1

suction review is very incorrect as this machine has incredible suction power, the bin emptying thing - yes you do have to do it multiple times and yes dust can get caught if you go over the max line but it’s quite easy emptying it, it really depends on how much dust your home produces. We have two dogs and two kids so dog hair and toddlers dropping food is a constant.

The laser is a good addition as it helps you see what you missed with the torque head, if the particle/dirt is still on the floor after you go over it a couple times you can be sure it’s something on your floor board (sticker, stain etc.) not that the Dyson keeps missing like one reviewer mentioned. The good thing about this is I can see marks on my timber floors to clean / get unstuck, so I’m winning in ways I wasn’t expecting :)

My summary

Pros; - incredible suction power, we had had a Dyson v6,v8 and friends with v10, Dreame T-30, Miele cordless and Samsung jet but this thing is the next level - long battery life - auto feature is great - the soft roller is good to see it back in the package for our timber floor boards - bigger bin capacity is a good (compared to our v8 Dyson) - oh I forgot the best part .. the anti hair tangle torque head is amazing! Having a wife and daughter with long hair + 2 dogs use to clog up the Dyson v8 wheels continuously. And I had to remove, cut and pull hair out of the roller head. But not with this machine, such a godsend - ‘My Dyson’ app gives v15 cleaning and operation tips (short videos) - the motor head has the option to open the front red walls to allow bigger items to be sucked up - another important pro and scary thing was the amount dust it extracted / sucked up from our rugs (was the corded vacuum so bad)

Cons - Only cleaning maintenance of the bin area because of the dust / hair build up

Future thoughts - A bigger bin option like the outsize or even something like a tube connection to the current bin going to a backpack larger bin would be awesome to reduce continuous bin emptying, something like the corded Dyson home vaccums bin size

Wasn't a Dyson fan however the v15 has won me over – I've had a few dyson stick vacuum cleaners in the past plus a dyson barrel vacuum cleaner and I've never really understood how or why they got such great reviews until after speaking to numerous friends and family members, we very dubiously brought the v15 total clean. it - including the kids, even the teenagers have gone from arguing over whose turn it is to vacuum to just going and doing it without complaining. It so easy to use and I love how it has the laser light so you can see whether you've picked everything up on wood floors, especialky when you have kids who trek a lot of sand and dirt in from school and outside. It's powerful enough to use on our carpets as well however I have noticed that if I use it on our long pile rug it does tend to stop the head from spinning sometimes but to me that's only a minor thing as it isn't a very big area anyway and I can easily lift up the head and get it spinning again. We have a cat as well and the amount of cat hair it picks up compared to our miele barrel vacuum cleaner is incredible. We are so impressed by our Dyson v15 we have now recommended it to others as well.

A Significant Disappointment – I have the v15 coming from the very first upright the DC15 which was still going until we got flooded. leaves a bit behind. Have to be content with going back to a dustpan to get it all. High power mode is a must so your runtime is measured in minutes and then the battery is flat most of the time. I would say steer clear of cordless and consider the alternative options carefully. We paid $1399, which is a very significant outlay to be so disappointed.

Piece of junk – Conks out after 10 seconds have to wait a couple of seconds pull the trigger only for it to conk out after a few seconds again. Took it back to the good guys Campbelltown under extended warranty for repair which took a month, get home and it’s even worse now. I want my money back or replaced but they won’t unless the same issue is repaired three times. No offer for a temporary vacuum. $1500 for a piece of junk. Show details

Great Vacuum, but parts missing – The vacuum does a very good job, but two attachments from the old model are no longer in the new V15 Absolute model. I was also told the battery recharge time was 20 minutes. Turns out that it is 3.5hrs, so I am really disappointed at the misinformation provided by the sales rep. Also, really disappointed that the price is $200 more expensive than… Read more

9 months ago when two additional attachments were available. I feel as though Dyson are perhaps gouging based on their reputation in a similar way to Apple. If you are going to charge the premium price, then the item should have all the inclusions as standard. I do not want to have to spend another $100 on additional accessories so I can enjoy the full functionality of a price inflated product.

Dyson V15 Detect – Firstly, a warning. If you suffer from OCD with dust around the house or have a couple of cats, then you will not have any spare time after using this vacuum. Being a user of AC powered vacuums for many years I decided to get the V15 after reading a number of reviews. Well, I can tell you it's so easy to put together and use and you won't be… Read more

disappointed. It works well on my wooden floors and carpeted areas and the wall mount is easy to install. The green LED on the head shows up every minute tiny, microscopic speck of dust which helps with cleaning so as per my initial warning you may want to use the other attachment without the LED as you can come back an hour later and there's dust there again. The battery life is about 45 minutes on the medium setting, and this is sufficient for a cleaning session. I'm really happy with this unit.

Fantastic Purchase – It has been more than a year since we got the V15. Was slightly put off by the price initially, but had a few gift vouchers which we ended up using to lower the cost of it. It is honestly one of the best investments I have ever made. It is super easy to use and maintain on our hybrid flooring. It also works well on our carpets around the house. A… Read more

full charge is usually enough to clean our 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom house of approximately 230m2. Though I don't have any issues personally with its weight, it isn't the lightest to carry around and vacuum over an extended period of time. I usually do a full 40 minutes just fine, but it's just something to bear in mind.

Best Vacuum I've ever owned – No more going back and forth over the carpet again and again, this vacuum does it on the first go!! It has amazing suction power in eco and auto mode, I haven't needed to use the boost mode yet. I've used this vacuum on my bedroom, living room and surrounding floors everyday for the past week and I haven't had to recharge it yet - the battery is strong and long lasting! Show reply

Great performance! – We brought the V15 Dyson stick about 6 months ago and it works a treat. It has an electronic screen that counts your dust (not exactly sure why someone would want to count the dust particles in their house though) - but it does do the job. It automatically adjusts depending if you are picking up big dust or little dust so it saves battery life. It… Read more ·  1

only works hard when it needs to. I also have changed my vacuuming routine and vacuum in the dark at night. This sounds rather weird but this is when the green laser light works best and you can see exactly where you need to vacuum and see any spots that you have missed. It is pricey but well worth the value. I have noticed it does take a while to charge so I just make sure to place it on the charger each time it gets used.

Brilliant as expected. Worth the money – This vacuum is by far one of the best appliances in the house. Dyson vacuums are hands down the best value for money. I remember once I bought something off a competitor and it really was one of the biggest regrets that I've ever had in my purchasing life. If Dyson keep making amazing vacuums like this I will never purchase from another brand ever again Show details

Quality Unit. Does the job every time – Top shelf unit which proves its worth. Cleans floorboards extremely well and carpets too. A little heavier than previous models more felt when doing carpets. Emptying card ridge has become easier and less fiddle or mess at the bin. Attachments fit snug and there are multiple ones for all types of use. Well worth the spend. Show details

Amazing stick vac – The V15 is so handy, I use it multiple times a day and it never lets me down, fantastic on both tiles and carpet, the handy dust detector light is a great feature. Really makes light work of it. Wouldn’t be without it. Show details

My first cordless, wish I did it sooner – Aside from the fact Dyson has always done a pretty great vacuum cleaner, their customer service is amazing. My toddlers have broken my V15 not once but twice in 3 weeks. The ladies at the costumer service centre are brilliant. Parts were shipped out quickly and their face time call they do to troubleshoot the problem is next level service. My… Read more

vacuum is awesome for cleaning up after 5 kids, it's easy to charge and goes a long way one a charged battery. I wish I switched to a cordless vacuum long ago, especially a brand as good as dyson

Essential for families – Initially I was unsure whether to buy another Dyson due to previous bad experience with the quality from the day of purchase. However, I’m now happy we did go ahead with it. The vacuum cleaner is very easy to use, charges fast and can’t be used for a long time before the next charge. The children use it on a regular basis meaning it’s light and… Read more

smooth enough even for the little helpers. It’s also easy to use on all different floor surfaces, which mean mum and dad can keep the house clean even during the mid-week chaos and rush really easy. The bonus is that vacuuming after several furry friends is not a problem, unlike some other vacuum cleaners which don’t suck up pet hair very well. Although it is easy to empty unfortunately, it isn’t as easy to clean as some other similar products, which makes it hard to maintain.

Almost perfect – So far this is the best stick vacuum performance wise from Dyson. It has a great power boost when you need it and it works great on most surfaces. It’s suction is excellent in the 5 months i’ve been using it. The bin is easy to empty and the attachments are handy. The only things i’m not happy with are the lights on the hard floor attachment work on one side only and the bristles on the smaller attachments bend. Show details

Great when it works – I am disappointed with my V15. It is fantastic when it works - which is only a couple of times a week. I returned it to Dyson within a month of receiving it and phone customer service every month to say I am not happy - they suggest cleaning the filter. The filter needs washing every couple of days and takes at least 24-48 to dry before it can be… Read more

used again. The battery does not last very long when vacuuming carpets and the canister needs emptying 4-5 times per room in my house - which is tedious and drops dust around the bin. I don't think it is suitable for a large family house with pets - perhaps an urban apartment where everyone is out most of the time. It will clean the whole of the downstairs of my house with hard floors without needing emptying or running out of power. The suction hole is very small so it will not pick up large bit of debris such as a Christmas tree needle or leaf or bits the dog brings in. I wish I could have a refund and buy something else that is more suitable for my family.

Received a faulty machine :( – I was one of the few unlucky ones and received a faulty Dyson V15. The clean filter started to flash after my first vacuum around the house. They sent me a new filter, this did not fix the problem and now I have sent the machine back for repairs. I find it really disappointing that this filter issue seems to be common place. This is not a cheap… Read more

vacuum so for customers to consistently receive faulty machines is unacceptable. That one time that I got to use it was A+ though. And I am really looking forward to getting my fixed machine back home. But I would probably not buy another Dyson. Not willing to take the chance of receiving a faulty machine again.

Clean filter started flashing after one clean – Love Dyson products and this vacuum is product wise great. Only issue is it started flashing clean filter after only one vacuum on hard floors that had already been vacuumed and mopped. Reading some other reviews looks like I’m not the only one. So likely it will need to get replaced. Here lies the issue. Dyson customer support. Having gone… Read more

through this before it’s a lengthy process where they try to fix the issue, you’re left without a vacuum for a substantial period of time (thankfully have my old one to rely on this time around) and you’re left frustrated by the entire thing. Customer service want me to wash filter wait 48 hours and try again. Let’s see how long this all takes now.
