Great product – Really great suction. A shame it's being discontinued. Only thing that could have been improved is the battery life but it's a small complaint for a great product. Works awesome on my shag rug too which was a major bonus  Show details

Expensive to purchase, poor battery quality – Dyson vacuum cleaners are expensive to purchase however, the quality of the product does not match the expense. On two occasions the battery failed on our handheld stick vacuum, once at one and a half years which was covered by warranty. The last time, at two and a half years which was not covered. Disappointing. Show details

I spend more type fixing the vacuum than cleaning – Dust goes everywhere whenever you empty the barrel, which is twice per use as it's very small. Dust gets caught in places it shouldn't, so you have to completely pull apart the vacuum (with screwdriver) every second use to dig out dust from various cavities where it's got stuck. because of this the error light goes off at least every 2-3 uses. The… Read more

Best vacuum ever – Pleased with the suction and the power button on top which would give a boost of power for ground in stains. I loved how the vacuum went great from carpet to hard floors and carpet, my old barrel vacuum hardly got the surface fluff and dirt from my floors and with a white medium hair cat, I needed something with oomph and my goodness my new Dyson… Read more

Best thing I bought – Cleans hard wood floors & tiled floors & mats, it is wonderful. Bought it after I house sat one time and used a Dyson there. Never had thought about owning one before this so when I came home - I bought one for myself, it's the best and handiest Vac I have ever had. Fully recommend Show details

It failed again – I used it to vacuum my carpet. After about 10 minutes (with MAX) it stopped working. I charged it for a day and it still not working. I press the trigger and there's no any respond. The red light blinking so I assumed the battery malfunction. I bought a new battery and replaced the old one, but the same thing happened again. It supposes to be a great product but it did work as I expected. I am really disappointed. Show details

Poor excuse for a hoover – Dyson V6 leaves plenty to be desired. I use my mum's and It only lasts 20 minutes if you put it on the lower power setting. The lower setting really struggles sucking up any kind of dirt that isn't dust and you can forget trying to hoover up pet hair or human hair off carpet. If you have any kind of arthritis, like myself, this hoover is not for… Read more

you! You have to continuously hold the power button down, which just kills your hands. It's clunky & tricky to slot the attachments in the proper place & the part that holds all the dirt, randomly pops open once in while. It'll do this whilst hoovering, covering the floor in the dirt you've just struggled to clean up. The rotating brush head is better than the rotating roller head, but as soon as the filter gets a bit dirty the brush no longer rotates. The only good feature is the fact it is cordless & you can do the stairs without lifting a heavy hoover. Overall, for the severely poor performance, I really feel like the price of these Hoover's is unjustifiably greedy.

Don't purchase if you expect a long lasting vacuum – Dear Dyson, Around the time my daughter was a month old, I decided that the ultimate Christmas gift (to myself) would be a cordless vac. I fantasised about the ease of just grabbing my shiny new stick vacuum and making crumbs disappear while my newborn took a nap. As luck would have it, my baby never napped. And my vacuum never vacuumed. I… Read more

eventually got on to your customer service team. They tried to remotely diagnose the issue. Thrice. I was sent replacement parts, I followed all instructions...nothing.

I told them I wanted a replacement. It was obviously a lemon, I was sick of waiting. I gave you my money promptly, but you were not particularly forthcoming in providing a working product. After 2 uses, the battery life went down to 30 seconds - then just stopped working altogether. No, the replacement battery didn't fix anything.

One of your customer service representatives advised that your products are never just faulty - it must have been something I did. I must have vacuumed concrete/renovation material, I was told. Well, online searches seem to disprove your 'never faulty' claims and no, I wasn't vacuuming building material because...well, I was sleep deprived, not stupid.

It's been over a year now...I guess I gave up because well, a baby with colic will make you give up on most things. But with the pandemic, people losing their jobs and families stretching themselves as they've been forced to endure mandatory shut downs of their business (hands up), it's starting to really bother me. You, Dyson, essentially robbed me of $599. You took a chunk of my income and provided me with something that is unusable and not fit for purpose. That's not cool.

I don't even care at this point - I don't expect a refund/replacement and I'm putting it down to having my money thieved. But you should be aware and so should others. Your service absolutely is the worst I've encountered on a high end product.

Broken finger guard below trigger – Purchased a Dyson V6 in August 2017. Has been used 2 to 3 times a week on carpet and slate. Works well and very handy when you want to use it and putting it away compared with cord fitted cleaners. Recently the small finger guard just below the trigger snapped off. Tried to glue it back on but no luck. As usual products under warranty break after… Read more

the warranty expires. Contacted Dyson and was told the finger guard may have broken due to the way we use the machine and a new body cost $150 if you fit it yourself. If considering buying any Dyson or similar machine just remember they are more then 95% plastic. For the money we spent purchasing this machine we expected it to last longer. Disappointed - YES!

Great machine – I bought my Dyson V6 Cord Free almost 3 years ago and it's so light and is great to use under beds etc, I use it ever 2nd day, does take a while to fully charge to only get about 20 minutes worth of vacuuming, but you get what you pay for, ie the new, heavier duty cordless vacs are much better but more expensive. I've followed all the cleaning… Read more

videos and advice and the head of my vacuum is one, the roller inside is not rolling, I've take it all apart myself to clean it, but no go. So a new head for $125 is in need. Definitely recommend, but as technology gets better, so does appliances, and the next time I'm in need of a vacuum cleaner, I would definitely look at getting one of the more expensive cord-free vacuums. Haven't had to replace the battery, but if the battery is $450, I'd prefer to put that towards a better cord free vacuum.

Waste of money!! – Bought 2-years ago. Took exceptional care of it. Followed the charging and care instructions, cleaned the vacuum after every use and now the battery does not work. My warranty was out by a few months and Customer Care recommended buying a new battery which seems unreasonable for a customer who already spent over $450 on a vacuum that should've lasted much longer! Very disappointing. Will never purchase a Dyson again. Do not recommend! Show details

Battery lasted less than a year – The vacuum when it works it works well, has good suction, very light and portable. The only issue which is a big one, the batter lasted less then a year. Lucky to get 2 mins after being fully charged. Other times it last literally seconds. Wont be getting another one. Slightly noisy but not a massive deal breaker. Show details

Designed for a few rooms at a time – I am always amazed at how much dirt collects on my floor in even one day and have learned that I need to vacuum regularly, otherwise the bin fills quickly. The battery will only last for a few rooms at a time which suits me. What I like most is that I can clean under cabinets, lounges and beds with ease. The old style vacuum cleaner would never manoeuvre under these places. Show details

Its always blocking up – My dyson v6 cordless vaccum isn't what I was hoping for. Its to difficult to use. The dust bin fills up quickly and is difficult to empty. Good option – I use in carpet, rug, tile and wood. Full of cat's hair. I love the suction how it's strong and the brush to remove the hairs it's perfect. Great Marketing,, Poor Performance – Have a ducted system (Lux) brought the Dyson to clean small amounts of ash dust from the Fire hearth, Gets about 3 minutes work a week during the winter. to surge and no suction and, the cleaning processes, taking it apart, brushing, washing, re-assembly,, required to fix it are ridiculous.. & the run time / battery is a totally inadequate, nowhere near current industry standards. Slightly better filtration than a B&D (and the other brands), near 10 times the $ cost and high maintenance..

Extremely disappointing – I bought mine just over 12 months ago, and now it wont work as soon as I add a attachment to it. first time using appliance of this type, very impressive – I didn't know this was the appliance I needed not until I got to lay my hands on it & use it! The suction is just on a high level. I noticed my floors are extra clean than it was before. It's very easy to use! the only little issue I find is the dust storage gets full easily so I have to get rid of the dust from time to time. On another note though, it's my house that needs cleaning & accumulated that amount of dust?

2 Years old and hasn't let me down – I chose this vacuum cleaner because it is compact and living in an apartment space is limited. It cleaners my carpet better than ever, and even after a few years runs like it is brand new, emptying it is the easiest and bag-less means no consumable expense. I love my Dyson and will only ever use this vacuum cleaner from now on. Show details
