Even Better Than The Original Stick

I have three sticks at home - due to many reasons...
The V7 was bought on a whim due to new lower price and it is better by a long way then the other three original ones. It sucks better, handles wooden floors much easier. It avoids the hair tangle issues the other ones face. It is quieter and feels much stronger Show details

Perfect Spot Clean Vacuum

Great for everyday use for spot-cleaning messes and giving your place a quick go-over. The motorhead attachment works well on both carpet and any hard floor service. I would recommend this vacuum to anyone after a fast and effective clean. Show details

Can't Even Get Hold of Dyson On the Phone!

My Dyson V7 has been frustratingly breaking down for a few months now, running for only a minute or so.
Have been trying to call Dyson to effect warranty however, the calls keep failing!, tried again and again, hopeless, a waste of my time! I am reading on reviews it is likely that the battery needs replacing and then when the battery is replaced its none the better. Dyson, what are you doing? Answer your phones! Show details

2years old replaced battery 3 x

I’ve replaced the head with a soft head which is much better on hardwood floors. I have also had to replace the battery 3x. I wouldn’t recommend this vacuum to anyone.

V7 Good product with excellent customer service

We've had 2+ years of use from our Dyson V7 but ran into problems just prior to its 2 year warranty ending. Dyson replaced the battery after assessing the fault over the phone. They sent a replacement battery (promtly) which rectified the problem.

I also experienced a problem with the Powerhead. It seemed to run intermittently and just recently stopped.

Prior to this problem, the machine had worked very well and has been used daily since puchased in 2020.

I've contacted Dyson and they have organised a replacement. Can I just say, full marks for their prompt service and standing behind their product for it was just out of warranty

Much appreciated! Show details ·  1

NOT SUITABLE FOR HARD FLOORS!

While I'm happy with the battery life of my recently purchased Dyson V7 I am unable to use it as it leaves marks on my polished wooden floors. Dyson claims that their motorbar cleaner head is universal, however please be aware it is not! All models should include "fluffy" cleaner head which is included in Dyson Absolute range of vacuum cleaners and was included in my old Dyson V6 Absolute which lasted about 5 years and did a great job. Disappointed .

It is rubbish

The most useless piece of equipment we have ever had the misfortune to part with hard eaned forThe battery goes flat after vaccuuming 3 rooms and rhe supposed "long Life"replacement I bought is just as useless. Our floors are vinyl planks except bedrooms that are carpeted.it picks up dirt well ,but battery life is awful. We live in a modest 3 bed home and it takes 2 and sometimes 3 charges to do the house.I would not reccomend the product to anyone We purchased this on 14/8/2021 Ihope other read this and do not bother to waste money on such an item Show details

Dyson V7 is average

Dyson V7 Motorhead stopped working 3 days before Christmas. If the motorhead stops then the vaccuum is useless. Did all the trouble shooting tips, nothing. Can buy new motorhead online for $195 if can get your hand on one..this is ridiculous when the whole vaccuum cost $350.
Update: as vaccuum was still in 2 year warranty period contacted Dyson who replaced the motorhead which was great. Show details

Battery lasted just over 2 years

The battery was working fine (long battery life etc), until 1 day it just stopped charging. Didn't deteriorate at all, just suddenly stopped. Replacement battery costs $130 and only has a 12 month warranty. So disappointing. Show details

Great product if only the battery last longer that 2 minutes

The vacuum picks up all the dirt's and dusk really well. However, recently the battery lasts for 2 minutes.

Only had the vacuum for 2 years. Not sure if I should buy a replacement battery. Show details

Battery is awful even after replacing

I also purchased the V7 pink model. Battery started getting weak & failed right after warranty. Contacted Dyson to get a new a battery and they said it was out of stock for 6+ months but when it was back in stock it would it would cost $50 less than buying a whole new one at this point, so I bought an identical battery on Amazon that was in stock & had good reviews that one still is only working for about 2 minutes- if that. There is something mechanically wrong with this unit. Will never buy a Dyson even on sale again if it’s a throwaway & has to be replaced regardless after 1.5 -2 years. I’m sure there are cheaper throwaway units from other manufacturers. Show details

Battery Discharge after light charge indicator goes off if kept plugged exactly after 2 years ownership

This is the second Dyson we own, and exactly like it's predecessor, 2 years after using it, it somehow triggers a fuse somewhere to drain the battery after the charging light goes off, if I unplug the Dyson as soon as the light goes off, the battery will hold the charge for days and can vacuum 3 rooms, on the other hand if I leave the Vacuum plugged after the light goes off say for couple hours it will fully discharge while plugged, This now have left me with Zero doubt that this is by design from Dyson, this is my second Dyson to exhibit the same behavior, also other users here had similar experiences.

I will never buy again this brand that treats it's customers like this! Show details

Battery life sux

Works ok but battery life sux .
Used once month for 5 minutes at a time for less than 3 years before battery died, so under 3 hours total use(holiday house).
Dyson charge $129 for replacement battery, thankfully cheaper elsewhere($40).
Tossed my first dyson stick when battery died and replaced it with another(stupid idea) when it too died at 2 years I found I could purchase a new battery and it worked again (that one is still working well after 4 plus years with 3rd party battery).
Dyson should tell their customers to expect to change their batteries every 2 years and their filters yearly.
Otherwise their customers will either waste another $400-1200 on a new one or will vow to never buy another one and go with a competitor. Show details
