AVOID EASTERN GARAGE DOOR ! UNPROFESSIONAL! RENEGE PROMISE – My garage door was not able to close completely but bounced up at certain point of its way down. I engaged Eastern Garage Door to sent his technician to come on the 29th Feb morning to service the door. The technician promised me that there would be a 3 months warranty after the service. Should there be any recurring issue, contact him back. It was all good for 10 days. However, 10 days later, the door is occasionally having the recurring issues, maybe 3 times out of 30 times, it bounced up, instead of shutting down completely.

On 12th March, I contacted them and the first customer service lady said no issue and they will sent the technician to service it again, no charges, since it is still within the warranty. I received a message confirming the job booking that their technician will be arriving between 1-4pm on the same day.

I waited till almost 5pm, no one came. I contacted them again, to my horror they started to tell me a different story. They reneged their promise. First they said they tried to contact me and sent me text and email me to inform me that I need to purchase a new motor as their technician will NOT come to do the service again! They insisted that my motor is having issue. The fact that the door is working pretty much well 90% of the time, just the 10% of the occasional issue, I believe it is not motor issue but need another service. I reiterated that I have their technician's promise and the customer service confirmation as well as an email confirming the services, and insisted their technician to come to service it again. I have also offered that should the motor really having issue after the second service, i would not claim for any warranty again, but will consider to buy a new motor from them. The manager, [Name Removed] refused and said their customer service lady and their technician, both of them, had made mistake of giving false promise of free service to me. She insisted that there is no such thing as 3 months warranty. To me, it is a very unprofessional company to blame its customer service and technician for giving false promise!! As a professional company, they should honor their words.
