We have previously had a good experience with Doors Plus but in Nov last year we purchased a toilet door. Measuring up Occurred within days but then everything went pear shape . It was 3 1/2 mth to delivery of an unpainted door - which now needs a painter to paint. Certainly far from happy this time !!!!! Show details

scheduled for 2 days. They “completed” in less than a day and the results showed it.

Summarised: - they arrived without hinges. Yes, you read that right. I was stared down and told they’d have to leave. So I went to Bunnings to buy some. - all but 1 door was installed incorrectly - hitting the door frame, sitting at an angle, being able to see clear above and/or below the door, exterior security door needed to be shouldered to close and didn’t prevent water ingress, doors were 2cm too short. I was told it was because of the house. When I queried what the point of measuring was I was told just to make sure the standard door size would fit, but not to make a door that met the measurements of a door that wasn’t perfectly plumb - all doors were filthy - think an auto mechanic wipes their hands all over the the surface of the door meets the worst, grimey public bathroom door. I still have this problem - the wrong handle was delivered for one of the doors - gold screws were used with stainless hinges - hinges were installed upside down - the doors had scratches and dents in them which require fixing despite having paid to have them primed and I was told ready to go straight away for painting - one of the doors had not only grime but blood on it. When I asked them to clean it off I got a rude look and was told they’d get to it. When I asked later what the plan was to address how filthy the doors were I was told it was my gift from them and they don’t clean it off. Where the grease came from I don’t know - everything was new and clean. I was told just to paint over the grease however 2 painters said they wouldnt touch it because of how badly the doors were marked with grease. - the doors weren’t installed with room to paint them or the trim - a conversation about the need for that happened during measuring - I had to go to the Brookvale store to pick up a weather strip that might address the 2cm gap. When I came back I was told it wad wrong and the salesman would have known that. I had to return once again to Brookvale to get another one - this one also didn’t solve the issue fit - my brand new floor boards were dented - my carpet was severely stained with grease marks (you can make out knee marks) - rather than properly clean up the working space the installers blew all wood chips etc into our front lawn. I needed to shop vac the grass to avoid kids and dog getting splinters. There were pieces that were 2x2 cms!!

The team leader came to inspect the work and despite agreeing that the job was terrible, the doors disgusting and shouldn’t have been left dirty and damaged, acknowledged the damage to the carpet and said to be assured they would take care of it centralised customer care tried to gaslight me saying I got what I paid for. After complaint a carpenter came to inspect the doors and agreed there were serious instal Issues. . The carpenter tried to clean the doors with WD40! Grease with grease. To my horror he sprayed the WD40 onto a rag over the carpet. It didn’t work. Despite telling me it would take 2 days to try and clean all the doors, DoorsPlus customer care sent me a note saying the job was closed. Separate correspondence came from customer service saying the carpenter said the doors were only lightly affected and that what I received was what I ordered and I needed to sand them anywhere before I could paint (excuse me but why did I pay for primed doors?). I escalated yet again and had the national carpenter out. He agreed it needed to be fixed and came out the following week and I believe did his best.

I am disgusted by this company whose head office did all they could to make the experience as awful as possible, tried to Gaslight us that the job wasn’t as bad as we and the sales team relayed and avoided apologising despite what their team relayed to them.

The whole process from Quoting to installation and completion has been excellent despite us having to postpone installation due to an emergency. The team at Labrador are all extremely helpful. Explained every bit of the process and very happy to address any questions or concerns we had. He was a perfectionist in the final installation of the doors, and explained how they locked etc and what to do and who to contact after if any problems. Theo our security screen door installer was extremely helpful and a perfectionist in his job. The screens have added additional security to the property for us. We are thrilled with the new look the replacement doors and security doors and screen doors have given to the property. level" that would make Nissam "off-scale", but here we are. Nissam's communication and manners, approach to work, assessment of the working and domestic environment for preparation and installation, organisation and efficiency have left me stunned.

I had allocated a whole day for installation. I thought it took 2/3 of the day for my son's doors to be fitted, maybe 4 - 5 hours? Nissan was done and dusted in 2 1/2 hours.

On top of his excellent skills, time management, and organisation of the working areas, Nissan is very calm, intelligent, and cultured.

I ordered doors to paint myself. After they were installed, I asked Nissam for his opinion about the paint colour. At a glance, Nissan assessed my textiles and wall colour. He suggested a colour and stain I hadn't considered, opening my mind to a better interior design choice. Then he pointed out how best to remove the film covering the glass when the door is being stained. I can visualise exactly how the door will look stained, how to tackle the job, and I'm thrilled.

I hope Nissan's intelligence is recognised and rewarded. Nissam's workingmemory for numbers, attention to detail, situational awareness, and organisational skills suggest high potential as a trainer, operations manager, and problem solver in the industry.
