I recently purchased a new door for the back of our building. The sales man at Minchinbury said they would reinstall the old screen door which still looks ok and has no issues. very rarely put them back on. They can't both by right. When I spoke to the salesman he tried to recant what he had previously said and told me they don't put the screen door on. In other words he lied to get the business as I wouldn't have bought from them if he had been truthful. The door ordered was to be 820 wide but the door fitted is 785 wide. This is why the original screen door can't refitted. The cost was extravagant and the job wasn't completed as promised. They painted door finish is also poor, obviously a spray job. They also required FULL payment up front meaning you have no leverage for an unsatisfactory job like this and they don't mention this before you sign. I do NOT recommend this company and I will not use them for the other work I need done.

Dave was friendly and efficient. He took the time to ensure that the doors were a perfect fit for our 1950's house. Very pleased with the outcome. Very impressed with our new bathroom & Laundry doors. Duc, is the best installer, knows how to fit a door so it’s straight, despite our metal door frames being out of alignment. regarding parcel dimensions and packing for transport were ignored. Luckily, this turned out to be no issue thanks to the freight courier.
Upon installation (by professional), we noticed the glass pane (that can be opened and has mesh backing) wouldn't stay close. I again reached out to the shop with via email, and put through a video of the problem to see if they'd be able to advice. I heard nothing back. Infuriating.
Installer ended up removing some of silicon packing around the hinges, which made them too thick to allow for tight closure.
We're very happy with the doors themselves, with a minor objection to the absolutely butt-ugly internal handle on the glass portion. We've replaced it with two discreet glass knobs instead.
Follow-up · We paid approx ~ $1500 for the door (large glass section). The glass does not stay closed with the supplied magnetic strips, we're still figuring this one out. The ability to open the glass is great, though. However, the glass is wide, limiting the handle width/length, as the glass gets stuck on the handle as it doesn't stay closed. Ideal would… Read more

The quad fold doors don't fold together correctly, there is damage to one of the vertical surround frames and the mitered joints are shoddy. See photos. Show details
Follow-up · After careful investigation by myself I found there was a design fault so pulled them apart and did a significant modification to them so they folded together probably. in my feedback the first time I suggested that if someone was to come out I could point out the necessary modifications but all I received from the local office was 'so you have fixed it, I'll close the case'. and it was a bad start .A few hours later on final front door inspection I felt resistance as door closed towards lock and when door was opened it seemed to spring open as if there was a release of tension. Installer insisted there was nothing amiss when there obviously was and our original door had opened and closed easily and normally — we just wanted an update . He aggressively argued door was perfect and ‘what do you want me to do ‘ I replied ‘ make it open and close without stress as eventually something will break’ he said ‘ no these doors are very strong’. This insane conversation continued for a minute until he said ‘ ok but it is your responsibility and if I have to come back it will cost you $150’. After 15 minutes the door was better although not exactly correct-as you recommended I painted immediately and when painting noticed he had fitted 3 hinges larger than the previous and just below new hinges two had a minor crack on jamb and next day some of paint on side of door and on jamb had rubbed off . I could go on but will not - suffice to say it was a huge disappointment as previous Doors Plus experiences had been good ,don’t think this installer was a qualified woodworker and his manner was not conducive to building a good reputation in Geelong .

Long waiting period for screen door; poor lock on venetian door which meant damage to the door..needed a replacement door and lock; poor quality pneumatic closing device and creaking hinges, extra costs -for measure up visit, to fit weather strip, to fit the doors extra..these on top of your fitting cost. Our business will go elsewhere for our other doors.

The door rail supports confirmed as being able to allow door to miss architrave of the existing opening - OK; but unfortunately the door support bracket bolt head fouled the architrave so needed to be recessed flush. The bolts also shortened due to use of dome nuts. To avoid this the door needs to be much higher which is not really a practical or visual solution. Recessing bolts is neater and convenient.
Install Manual Step 7 to add door stops, should be prior to Step 2 rail support fixing. Otherwise, the rail fixing bolts (some only ) needed to be removed to allow door stops to slide on. Not good with the door mounted and with weight as per Step 5.
Some dimensions for the round buttons in Step 4 would be useful as their purpose not fully understood until later in Step 5 (to prevent door lifting off rail).
All good and generally a useful necessary Install Manual if consideration given to comments above.
Follow-up · Not mentioned previously as oversite, the problem with the bolt heads and the architrave also applies to the figure plate on the other side of the door handle.
