Professional, approachable, high standard work; noise reduction as advertised up to 70%
Scheduled to install Magnetite System 4 windows and Soundtite System 1 sliding door. They came on time, and the work was completed in 2 days with high standards. I can barely hear any noise in my MastRoom, and although a little bit of train passing noise in another bedroom (Soundtite System sliding door installed), the noise reduction is definitely > 50%. Highly recommended!

Should have done this years ago.
Two of our bedrooms face the M2 Motorway. The noise has increased markedly over the last few years due to increased traffic and a very poor road surface. The retro double glassing doesn't entirely eliminate the road noise, but significantly reduces it.

Excellent product. Great customer service and communication too.
I had a good experience with Magnetite, right from the start. The assessor was a good communicator and his design was very thorough. I watched a lot of the installation process and was impressed how the team worked in such a confined space, and overcame hurdles. I had to wait a few months before installation, which I think was because they had a lot or orders to fill, but I was forewarned so I can't really complain. They went the extra mile and worked through their lunch-break to get the job finished sooner rather than later.

Good Job
The contractor arrived on time , and undertook the task in a professional manner . The end product looks great , and the subsequent noise reduction is better than expected . I chose the thicker glass and I believe that it was a wise choice . Thanks for a great job .

Couldn't recommend enough
Had four windows retrofitted with inside windows - quoting was professional and well priced - they were not pushy, just informative. Lead times were a little on the long side (approx 2 months), but it was well worth the wait. Sound reduction is dramatic. So many of the noises that would penetrate one window (even with a metal shutter) are now a thing of the past. I would say 100% worth the price! Install was quick and painless, with an excellent all round serivce.

Installation of sound proofing to my apartment in Hurstville.
My Hurstville apartment is close to the railway line. It can be very noisy, especially in times of track work. All the staff at Magnetite, including the installers, were very helpful from start to finish. There was no hard sell. I had ample time to budget for the expense. The retrofit sound proofing delivered on one day and installed the next. The end result looks great. The new sliding doors and windows have given my 50 year old unit a fresh look. An added bonus, apart from the considerable noise reduction, has been effective insulation against the cold winter weather. I didn’t have to use the heater in winter. The installation took place in April.

Not perfect...but very effective
The installation of the 'framework' was completed efficiently and to a high standard by the owner and assistant. Next day installation of the actual acrylic glazing was performed. The windows are quite large and at first the magnetism wouldn't hold the corner onto the frame securely. This has now settled. Overall if outside noise is meant to be loud and annoying, nothing will prevent it's ingress. Loud supercharged cars, doof doof from the pub 150m away for example-both of which vibrate our solid brick walls-is still audible but very much attenuated.

Amazing product and service
I contacted 3 companies requesting a quote for secondary double-glazing, primarily for soundproofing but also to improve insulation in two bedrooms. Magnetite responded quickly and immediately arranged for a free visit to measure my windows and discuss clarify my needs. The other two companies simply e-mailed me a quote, with no information about the solution offered and no invitation to ask questions. We live on a very busy arterial road, and the B-double trucks on Mona Vale Rd outside had made our lives a total misery. Magnetite is fantastic, it is now so quiet inside now. The thermal difference that Magnetite has also made is equally impressive. We are extremely pleased!

Exceeded my expectations
Our windows had plantation shutters which added complexity to our installation. The boys added a box frame on top so it wouldn’t interfere with each other. Satisfied with the end result, and no more unwanted noises from our neighbors!

Has anyone experienced a goog amount of noise reduction from neighbors barking dogs using 10 mms magnetite
Hi Judy S., Thank you for your enquiry. Our retrofit double-glazing solution is designed to reduce the noise by up to 70%. Noise coming from the dog’s bark is typically intermittent noise (silent then noise then silent then noise…) This means that even if we block 50% of the noise which takes the edge off of the barking, you will still hear the dog bark as it interrupts the silence. The reduction may or may not be enough to give you the relief you are after as it all depends on the type of dog, the distance to the dog and your sensitivity to noise. Loud barking dogs from close neighbors ?
Loud barking from close by???...I'd have to guess...no
But...it wil be attenuated. Unfortunately noise that is meant to be annoying- doof doof, harley davidson bikes etc, are very difficult to block out because that kind of noise gets in through so many avenues...even vibrating roof tiles and then ceilings. So...it will reduce the sound but probably won't be able to stop it. Easier to stop the blasted dogs!!!
