poor communication – I had a 15 yr old fraudulently use my c/card to make a booking through Easytobook.com. after 4 or 5 weeks of back and forth emails - and a whole bunch of template emails trying to tell me that they cant refund me this booking. I went and got a statutory declaration and forwarded it to them as well as the hotel in question. Finally I was able to get a refund. This is a company that is based in Holland so communication isn't the best due to the time difference. I do wish I had a phone number for them, which may have alleviated some of my anxiety dealing with this company.

In the end I got the outcome that I wanted but it definitely was a long process with constant brick walls.

Don't use Easytobook – I have the same experience as Andy K on Jan 15, 2015. On 9 September 2015, I also tried to find the accommodation for my visiting me at the Sydney, Australia. After few search, I selected my chosen hotel and then suddenly a pop up appeared on the screen from Easytobook.com and mentioned that it can beat the cheaper price at the same hotel. I think it is ok no matter I choose A or B if you offered me a good deal. The Easytobook confirmed that the total exact amount is Australia Dollars. Even, they have the Australian toll fee number to contact. (but the number is incorrect)

After receiving the bank statement a month later, I discovered that there has oversea transaction charge. I called this number again. It is still invalid. I tried to ask my bank what is going on. I never go overseas how can I charge overseas transaction. My bank told me it is overseas payment ??? It gave me a big head

After the numberous emails to easytobook, it is interesting that the different people gave me different answers. Finally, there has no solution for this issue. I can say that I have a bad lucky to use Easytobook. I strongly recommend the people don't use this website.

easytobook.com not so easy – On 30 Dec 2014 I attempted to book accommodation initially via booking.com and after completing a search I selected my chosen hotel; however, before I was able to complete the booking for this hotel a pop up appeared on the screen from easytobook.com saying I could book the same hotel at a cheaper rate through them - Not one to miss an opportunity, I selected this option instead and entered my details. After I was asked to enter my credit card details, the system then attempted to process the transaction but before it could finish I received an error message informing me that the reservation was no longer available and that my credit card would not be charged.

Two days later I called my bank after receiving a text from them advising there had been a suspected transaction on my credit card and that I should confirm if the transaction was legitimate or not. I immediately called my bank and to my astonishment learned there were 4 separate pre-approved transactions on my card from easytobook.com for a combined total of almost $2,500! When I called easytobook.com to request an explanation, I was told the reservation was cancelled immediately as the room was no longer available and that the pre- approved amount should not have been activated on my credit card. Easytobook.com then promised to send my bank an authorisation to reverse the pre-approved amounts immediately. A few days later, after numerous calls, I was still waiting! What I do not understand, is why there was a pre-approved amount on my credit card when the room had not been reserved in the first instance. This doesn't seem like good honest business practice to me.

It is now 6 days and I am still waiting to have the pre-approved amount reversed! Thanks to easytobook.com for ruining my holiday. my advice is to be very wary of this website - you are better off using booking.com, or another reputable online booking agent, as you can be assured they will only use your credit card if the room was actually reserved.

Another thing, the call centre is based in India and all issues are forwarded to The Netherlands, which is supposedly where easytobook.com is based, to "allegedly" resolve any issues - extremely BAD service!
