Eco Savers

Dodgy and incompetent – Irish backpacker door knocked, and arranged for meeting with specialists two days later. I took half a day off, but the specialists didn't show for the appointment, and when I phoned to enquire, was told (after another couple of phone calls) that there was no-one in the area on that day. Within 15 minutes, someone else (Queensland Power… Read more
Company?) called, using the same talking points of "only 40 opportunities" in my area. They denied that they were associated with Eco Savers, but this "coincidence" is too incredible to be true.

Super weird door knocker – Just had a guy come to our door and make small talk before getting to the point, my partner wants solar so was happy to listen to him for a while. Then the guy says he will get a consultant to come and assess our roof tomorrow to see where would be best to put panels if we decided to go ahead. Before he left he asked for a drink so my partner… Read more
offered him some water, to which he replied “can I have a beer instead since you have one?” My partner being polite and kind of shocked just grabbed him a beer and off he went. So unprofessional, I was pretty cranky honestly. Really strange.
Dodgy as - talked themselves out of a sale – Had doorknocker come round. Asked for email info. Tentative appointment made. Phone call to confirm refused to send info. Was talking over me and not answering my questions. Caller eventually hung up on ME as I was asking too many questions (wanting some info emailed to me in advance to justify letting someone into my home during Covid). Talked… Read more
themselves out of a potential sale. Perhaps target people who are willing to be screwed without informing themselves first.
I dont blame the Brit backpackers they employ for not being perfect at their jobs, but - they are stuck in Canberra, Australia with a job and relative safety from Covid. Better off than alot of people I know...They could try harder to not f##k up. Knuckleheads.
Door knocking scam – Two visits waiting a week of men door knocking to try and get me to take one of the “40 only” Government packages For the suburb. They could get someone to come tomorrow to boost (in COVID) however was unable to give me any product Information and tried to hard sell that they would al be gone by tomorrow. Poor form! Intrusive door knockers – 3 people knocked at our door, very persistent. Said I’m not interested, told them I was in middle of something but still took a while for them to tell me what they wanted. Wouldn’t take no for answer when I wasn’t interested. Not impressed.

Rude and Wouldn't listen – Had two people from this company knock on the door the other day. They would not take no for an answer and insisted on talking. Just one question turned into an hour or so of talking. The fact that I was in pain was not a deterrent to this person nor the fact I had told him I was just out of hospital. Also, on their paperwork they give a web… Read more
address, guess what it doesn't go anywhere. Not impressed and wouldn't go with this company if it was the last one available.
Weird – Door knocking. One man started with weird jokes, they did not give me any information, they wanted information first and changed tone when I told them I needed information. Rude. Show details

Fast working and professional – Scheduling team was easy going and flexible as I live in a remote area (Yinnar). Person who came to my house was polite and straight to the point no gimmicks. Show details
Doornockers – Doornockers turned up on my doorstep, guy thought he was funny, he wasn’t. Guy made a joke about God, thought it was funny, it wasn’t. I don’t why companies continue with this practice. If I want to buy solar I will ring up and ask for quotes. Show details
Dodgy – British Backpacker door to door, know nothing of product, know nothing of solar panels, or Australia. If you make an appointment, you are spoken to on the backpackers mobile phone, from people who sound suspiciously non Australian. I guessed India call centre, but they are in the Phillipines, pretending they are in Perth. I hate liars in call… Read more
centres, wish they were honest. Thanks for the other reviews, backs up my suspicions. Backed out before the appointment was due, unable to contact PERTH? office (ummm?) to cancel. Dodgy, dodgy.
Beware:This appears to be a scam – My friend and I who live a suburb away from each other (in the northern rivers part of NSW) were both contacted by lovely young personable door to door salesmen for eco-savers. Both lovely guys said they had just been appointed to go door knocking to make appointments for solar panels. Both said that we would receive visitors to receive a quote… Read more
and see if our roof was acceptable. Advice would be given on how many panels would be best. The next day I waited as the appointment was meant to be at 2pm. We were told that there was no fee and the panels would be free as part of a government initiative. My friend and I , in our separate locations never saw or heard anything again. The story I was told sounded "fishy", too good to be true. And if its sounds too good to be true it is unlikely to happen.
Has anyone else had this response or been asked similar questions? I wonder what they actually want!!

Know better, choose better.
Scammers avoid! – I was promised a 25 year warranty only to find they had blocked my number the moment I signed the contract. The panels broke after 6 months. The Scottish salesman was so rude and insulting to me and my family. Show details
Unprofessional – We signed a contract to install the solar system through EcoSavers Storage and Solar. However I had informed the consultant that I had some questions I wanted answered prior to going ahead. I have not received any response to my questions from storage and solar. These were simple questions such as the manufacturer of the panels and inverter that… Read more
was going to be installed. I called their customer service centre and the consultants could not answer these very basic questions. I even asked to speak with a supervisor or manager to have my queries answered. The consultant would not put me through to anyone. I am thankful that I have canceled my contract and not gone ahead.
EcoSavers Unreliable and Unprofessional – Had an EcoSavers salesman come to my door. He arranged a time and date for a consultant to come and give me a quotation. I also, at that time, spoke to the office and confirmed my personal details and time of appointment. No-one turned up for the consultation. I was left sitting waiting for several hours. Not even a courtesy phone call to… Read more
apologize. I am fully intending to have solar installed, and am considering myself lucky that I will not be using this unreliable and unprofessional company.
Honest, informative, great savings – I had a great no obligation offer at my door to learn how I can save on my electricity. Customer service and communication was great and service was quick and efficient. Solar connected to the grid was seemless and albiet paying more than shonky offers for quality, my ROI on this system will pay for itself.
SCAM – They installed the solar panels 6 weeks later than expected. It still does not work. Do not advise this at all. Dodgy company with dodgy people. They have their headquarters overseas in the philippines. Solar electricity from this company is a total scam.
Really good service – Happy with customer service provided. Door knocker came round and explained it all so I booked an appointment. I did have some questions for them that they couldn't answer but that the specialist would be able to answer them. Then the appointment came and the specialist was able to answer my questions and went over everything thoroughly. He also… Read more
explained that the ecosavers just did the door knocking side of it and weren't actually the solar company. I decided to go through them because there warranties were really good. Also, the payment method was really easy and I was basically able to pay the system off with my power bill. We booked the install and everything was straight forward. The install was done in a day and the guys left the place clean and tidy.
Eco Savers misuse of government funding? – Eco Savers staff (possibly backpackers here on holiday from England) door knocked in the Geraldton area in May encouraging householders to install solar panels under a "Bill Tailoring" program which, as Eco Savers staff explained, was funded by the Australian Government. The door knockers were very knowledgeable and personable. I agreed to meet… Read more
with their 'solar specialist' the next day - a Saturday - @ 10am but explained I had to leave by 11am.
The 'specialist' did not turn up. I contacted their call centre (in the Philippines) to advise them I had to leave and a further appt was organised for following Monday.
Over the weekend I received a text confirming meeting.
On Monday, just before the 'specialist' was due to arrive I got a call saying the team has left the Geraldton area on the Saturday. In fact they had left before I got my confirmation text!!!!!
I applaud the Aust. Government for its solar initiative but why does the government award contracts to fly by nighters who have no business ethics when dealing with consumers, especially regional consumers.
