I bought an ECOVACS T30 directly from ECOVACS for $799, and the whole experience has been extremely frustrating. The original robot developed a fault and was sent back for repair. ECOVACS told me it had been repaired, but it was still not working properly immediately after it came back. After further communication, they eventually replaced it with a refurbished T30S Pro.
Unfortunately, the replacement is now also unstable and unreliable. On one occasion it left the station, travelled less than one metre during a normal cleaning cycle, then immediately returned to the dock even though the battery, map, station position, brushes and surrounding area were all fine.
I provided video evidence and completed the troubleshooting ECOVACS requested.
So my experience has been:
* faulty original unit * unsuccessful repair * replacement unit * replacement unit also malfunctioning * repeated troubleshooting and delays instead of a straightforward refund
At this point, the biggest issue is not just the product reliability but the warranty process. I have already spent far too much time returning units, troubleshooting, sending videos and following up.
I asked for a refund, but instead ECOVACS offered another repair, a one-month warranty extension and a side brush.
Based on my experience, I would not buy another ECOVACS product.

I wish I had read these reviews before I purchased, would have made my decision a lot easier. After having owned 2 Ecovacs I decided to purchase a T30S Pro. For the first few weeks it was great. Done everything it was supposed to. Then the problems started. It would flip mopping pads off, the video camera would only work occasionally and the rotating brush would dislodge. I use it whilst I'm at work so I would frequently get messages informing me that the robot was either off the ground or trapped or both mopping pads and plates are not properly installed so when I got home from work I would have to repair and start the whole cleaning process again. I changed the mopping pads and plates but the problem still persisted. When the machine returned to the homebase to wash the pads the Velcro attaching the pad to the plate is not strong enough to hold and becomes dislodged while cleaning. I have changed the pads and for the first wash or two they appear to work ok. but then the problems returns. I reported this to Ecovac on a number of occasions and there response was the unit is over 6 months old so we won't replace it. It is 7 months old. They have offered me to send it to them and they will repair and as a goodwill gesture give me an extra months warranty. It's still got 17 months of warranty remaining! So kind hearted! Then I don't hear from them and when I follow up I get the same email each time advising me that my case has escalated and we'll be in touch within 24 hours. We'll the latest one was sent 6 days ago and still no attempt to contact me. Very disillusioned with this unit and the overall lack of action from Ecovacs. Would I buy another Ecovacs product? NO! Would I recommend Ecovacs. NO! I'm looking at other products and I think I'll buy a Eufy. Appear to be a far superior product. Ecovacs, you have lost me.

I purchased the machine in September 2025 and was initially very impressed with the unit and how well it cleaned. However, after approximately 8–9 months of use, the machine began starting unscheduled cleaning cycles at random times, including midnight, 1:00 am and 2:00 am. I reported the issue to Ecovacs Customer Service and have followed a number of troubleshooting solutions they have provided. Unfortunately, none of these have resolved the problem.
I continue to receive emails apologising for the inconvenience and advising that the matter has been “escalated”. However, it appears that the issue is simply being passed between multiple Customer Service representatives, none of whom have been able to identify the cause of the problem or provide an effective resolution.
The issue has now reached the point where I have to physically turn the machine off every night to prevent it from unexpectedly starting a cleaning cycle and waking us during the night or in the early hours of the morning.
For a machine that is less than 12 months old, this is extremely disappointing and is not the level of performance or reliability I expected when purchasing the product.

Bought for $450 on sale at Amazon two weeks ago. What a game changer. This is single handedly the best appliance purchase I have ever made next to the dishwasher. I only have hardwood floors and tiles so I did not need a 15,000 to 28,000pa suction, 11000pa was more than enough. I have not had consistent spotlessly clean floors like this daily since I was single and without children lol. I had become so tired and frustrated trying to keep my floors clean with young children that I stopped cleaning them so often and let them go until they had to be done because they were visibly soiled and dirty. I have a white cat and dark floors as well which doesn't help either. After buying this model and seeing what it can do I will never not have one again. If it breaks down I will go buy another one straight away. I like the two bins one for clean water and one for dirty. I like the fact it sucks all the dirt from the robot into the dust bag in the main water and charging station. It can map 3 different levels and will return to the station to wash it's own mop pads in hot water, drain dirty water and refill itself with fresh water. It will even dry the mop pads after a cleaning cycle so nothing smells. You can also view the house while it is cleaning through the inbuilt video camera at the front of the unit. It has a Hey Google type of voice assistant called Hi Yiko as well that works okay and you can pair it to your Hey google or Alexa as too. You can buy all the spare parts, bags, brushes, mopping pads etc. very cheaply on Amazon or eBay to service it and keep it new too. If you want to buy a very good robot mop and vacuum on sale get one before it is too late and they go back up or sell out.
Bad points are the station not able to tell when the dirty water tank is actually full. For some reason it keeps telling me when it's a quarter to half full only that it is completely full. I don't understand why they put a float sensor inside the dirty water tank if the station does not actually use the float meter to tell you when the dirty water tank is full. By doing this the robot will stop mid cycle and only clean half of the house then return to its station and sit there until you tell it to start again. If I am 100% certain it isn't full I can restart the cleaning but I shouldn't have to be 100% sure I emptied the dirty water tank and filled the clean water tank to the full line every single time. The float sensor should just work and only notify me if the dirty water tank is actually full then stop cleaning. I also have a schedule that automatically starts at 1900 hours every day when I don't have anything scheduled to clean at that time which would indicate to me that the last firmware update this machine had is still buggy and needs more work to make it more stable.

I just bought this Ecovacs T30S Pro a week ago from Amazon with a deal. After try it home, wow, it's an wonderful cleaning robot to vacuum and mop my floors. I got three other vacuum robots before and they don't clean my floors property especially stop at the carpet runner in my front door area. It could be due to the pattern of the carpet. The Ecovacs T30S has no trouble to run and map out of my floors and it is quite quick to do the mapping as well. The mops will automatically lift up 9.5mm from tile to carpet so it won't we the carpet floor.
The Ecovacs has a fantastic self emptying the dust bin and wash the mops plus dry them. The robot come with the front camera to see the object infront. The spare parts for the robot is also easy to buy from Amazon with cheap cost.
I highly recommend this robot for anyone looking for the cleaning with bargin price.
Follow-up · The noise level is ok and I don’t have pet at home. The Ecovacs app is excellent and you can set the way to clean your floor such set clean area and cleaning mode. I also like to use robot camera to check my house. I did few times left home and use robot camera to check my gas heater whether is switch off or not.
