Australian vans have the underside water tank, water pump, etc just in case you are off grid. Great heating systems
Cons We went light off road, let down tires first, however it's not an off road van.
Overall These are more like apartments on wheels, rather than rough vans.
They are fast to setup and get back on road and have everything you need.
Hope this help others.
Love the van – Excellent quality, finish and reliability. Very comfortable. We had a problem with fishtailing. Spoke to the service dept. in Brisbane. We were advised to thoroughly clean the metal cup that goes over the tow-ball. Also tyres to be 45-50 psi. Also a good idea to weight the front of the van. Show details
Terrible – Our once exciting purchase has turned into a nightmare. Having purchased this van in April 2014, we have experienced a number of faults culminating in the central window and wall cracking in June 2015. Elddis have blamed the fault on user error but this is not the case. the van has never been off road and always looked after. It had only traveled… Read more
around 5000 kms before the problems arose. It took over 6 months for someone to even look at it. We have not been able to use our van for over 18 months!.
To make matters worse, the replacement window that arrived was broken and the repair to the wall failed.
The vans are poorly built and the customer service is terrible!
Caught in severe winds – Hi fellow ELDDIS vanners ! just towed my next van back to Adelaide from Melbourne in 40 to 50 knot winds!!! a whiteknuccle trip. Van was severely fishtailing.....however the van was empty and conditions would not have favoured any van !!! next trip can only get better. Can anyone tell me anything about the boiler… Read more

Good value and service from Elite RV – Having looked extensively for a new light weight van we came across the Elddis range quite by accident. I met all of our requirements and more. The quality and standard inclusions are excellent with peace of mind from the 10 year water ingress warranty we could ask nothing more. We have now traveled extensively towing the van with our Hyundai… Read more
Santa Fe without any issues major whatsoever. A recent trip to W.A. was a real test and our Affinity passed with flying colours. A couple of minor hiccups which can be expected with any product were resolved by Paul from Elite. We recommend the Elddis brand.
Excellent price for the features included – After researching for 2 months many different Caravans we finally decided on the Elddis Affinity 550. The price was excellent for the features of the Elddis compared to an equivalent Australian manufactured van. There 10 year warranty on the frame as opposed to 1 year on equivalent vans. The internal layout of the van especially, and the… Read more
ability to have a separate bedroom, bathroom and toilet by closing a door or screen from the rest of the van is great.
The lounges at the front are extremely comfortable compared to the café seats in equivalent vans.
It has a light-weight tare weight so we did not have to purchase a new car. Our Holden Captiva quite comfortably tows the van.
There is plenty of storage space in the van with a generous under bed storage area. The internal lighting in the van is excellent.
The central heating is an excellent feature and extremely effective and saved us from a lot of cold nights - even though we have air conditioning.
There is plenty of ventilation available thought the roof vents and generous front and side windows.
Exceeded My Expectations!! – Recently I took delivery of a 2013 model Elddis Affinity 550 from Elite RV on the Gold Coast. The fit, finish and quality of inclusions in this caravan is exceptional, and all of my friends and neighbours who have seen the van have been extremely impressed. This is our 4th caravan and by far the best. As you know, these caravans are modified at… Read more · 3
manufacture by Elddis to suit Australian conditions, they have increased road clearance, stronger suspension, bigger brakes wheels and tyres, and IDC (Intelligent Drive Control, designed to inhibit excessive snaking in adverse driving conditions). The increased height of the van is appreciated when negotiating humps, dips and valleys, there has been no sign of the van bottoming out or scrapping, there is heaps of clearance.
Having had half a dozen operations after being dragged of the road by an errant trailer and rolling two years ago, of particular interest to me, was how the caravan would handle behind my car, particularly with the modifications to suit Australian condition and the IDC. I can let you know that on our way home, when travelling down the east coast from Woolgoolga to Newcastle on Sunday 2nd June, we encountered what the Weather Bureau called severe weather conditions, heavy rain and 60 kph winds gusting to 90 kph. Travelling at a constant 100 kph and into the very strong cross wind, naturally I was watching the van like a hawk, I need not have worried as the caravan barely moved of centre and gave no cause for concern whatsoever, I thought this was amazing considering its light weight, single axle and large exposed area. The IDC obviously works, and I am now extremely confident when towing this caravan and have no hesitation in recommending the Elddis Affinity caravan range of models to anybody. Feel free to use my name in any endorsement of these caravans.

2013 Elddis Affinity 574.......We're delighted! – As we previously owned a 2011 Buccaneer Caravel we were very aware of the high quality of this top line caravan. Having said that we're also enjoying our Affinity 574 caravan! It's easy to tow, comfortable, has a quality finish, and the layout works well for us. When selecting a new van it was important that it would be safe and stable on the… Read more · 1
road. It is. We have found that the IDT stability control system provides predictable on road performance. The Winterhoff hitch incorporates anti-sway pads and prevents snaking.
These safety features are reassuring, going beyond traditionally built caravan safety features in Australia.
Externally, the caravan is pleasing to the eye and easy to maintain. The external storage access is excellent. We really enjoy the practicality of the split door, allowing us to have the bottom half closed and the top open. Along with the many windows, these features capture breezes and make it light and airy inside.
It was good to have a range of internal layouts and a range of fabrics to chose from. The layout we chose is spacious and works well for us. The storage is amazing! We are impressed with the quality of finish throughout. The tasteful furnishings and the general workmanship are great. It's comfortable, easy on the eye, and easy to relax in.
This adds to the quality of our times away from home.
[name removed] and his team at Elite RV were consistently helpful from ordering the van to taking ownership of it and ever since. Lightweight, Super strong, Easy to tow, Excellent build quality throughout...very comfortable, 10 Year Warranty
