Electrolux fridge EBE4507SA – It was a good fridge for about 4 years, then it develop an issue with too much humidity in the food compartment, I was advised to replace the door seal. I contacted Electrolux own spare parts service and redirect to a another supplier. where the price over the phone for the seal was just under $200.00. then applied on line and the price drop to… Read more

$120.00. ready to place the order I was told there was no stock. I contacted Electrolux again and was told the wait was four months......finally end up buying another fridge from Hisense. No happy with Electrolux.

Replacement of door handles – If you break your handles on your electrolux fridge just order a replacement set from https://www.ebay.com.au/str/motivetronics Really easy fix as it is just two screws.

Ok fridge with flimsy door handle – Generally happy with this fridge, apart from the fridge door handle, which has been replaced twice, once within 12mths, 2nd time within 5yrs. In hindsight the handle is too flimsy for this fridge, something that’s impossible to know by looking at floor stock in a shop. The door has strong suction when in operation. I wouldn’t recommend this model.… Read more

Otherwise, operation-wise this fridge is fine. Some difficulty cleaning behind crisper drawers (to this day I have been unable to remove the drawers) is my only other complaint.

Do not buy Electrolux fridge – Within a short time of owning this fridge the handle came off. Customer service was unhelpful. But my main gripe is how difficult it is to take the drawers out for cleaning.

Quality has gone down since my last Electrolux fridge – When I bought this fridge, I was basing my decision on my previous fridge EBE4300SCLH which was the most wonderful fridge I have ever owned. Unfortunately, this fridge does not cut it. The first thing that happened was it made a high pitched noise that I could still hear in the bathroom. The converter was running constantly, only stopped for a… Read more

short while after a few hours.

Second, the internals look seemingly the same in photos, but are way different. Effective space utilisation has been reduced by at least 15% I would say. Shelf adjustment is also limited.

When I stuffed the freezer from my previous LG fridge, I couldn't fit every thing in. The veggie compartment is so much smaller and the fridge instantly looked narrower.

I took the measuring tape and indeed, all compartments were 7cm shorter than the previous generation. I looked to the rails and there it was. The rails have been added to the door, not recessed as it was in the previous version.

The EBE4300SCLH cost me AUD1800 back in 2011 and the EBE4507SC cost me AUD1499. If I remember correctly, back in 2011 Electrolux was made in Australia, now it is made in Thailand.

Obviously, the Thailand crew took the simplest approach to constructing this fridge and nobody from the design team at HQ cared enough to maximise storage capacity. Very disappointed. Would not recommend Electrolux anymore.

I would rather pay $300 and get a decently designed fridge than have live with such a badly designed product, because over 10-15 years, what are $300?

For my next purchase, I will consider Electrolux again, as I hope they will get back to their root.

This fridge was returned.

I highly recommend looking at fridges in the showroom rather than buying it online unseen.

Sleek and stylish fridge – Beautiful looking fridge with easy to clean stainless steel finish. I have the left hand opening model. Interior layout of fridge and freezer is excellent, the best in the bottom mounts available in my opinion. There is a dedicated place for everything. Bottle rack and twist icemaker are very handy. The looks and interior layout and excellent LED… Read more

lighting were main reasons I bought this fridge. Fridge is not quiet, but it's not loud and intrusive like my Fisher & Paykel was. Fridge tends to maintain a consistent temperature throughout fridge and freezer compartments. My only concerns with this fridge is the durability and build quality. Door handles are screwed on, not welded on the door during manufacture like the Fisher & Paykel it replaced was. As the fridge door handle is very long, it can tend to flex when the door seal is at full suction and you have to pull the door harder to open it. Also the glass shelves tend to bow when slightly heavier dishes are placed on them. This never happened with my previous fridge and I used to place heavy cast iron cookware on them. Hopefully the electronics and compressor are durable. I got 19 years out of my last fridge. I'm not confident this fridge will last as long as that. Only time will tell I suppose. I would definitely recommend purchasing this fridge.

I absolutely love our fridge – We have had our 450L bottom mount Electrolux Left opening black fridge for exactly one year now. We couldn't be happier. Despite taking up smaller space than my old top mount it has far more interior room. I love having a large crisper drawer which keeps the vegetables at an ideal temperature, which makes them last longer. As vegetarians we need… Read more

to be able to have a good supply of veggies. We're mad cheese lovers and the dedicated cheese drawer was what made me decide finally on this fridge. I also love the wine rack on which we store wine, milk in bottles, mineral water and soft drinks. There's enough room under the rack for spare eggs, (there's also an egg tray) etc.

The freezer holds a good amount of food, also more than my old one. I appreciate the top, smaller drawer, which is perfect for my chiller blocks, pizzas, and small packs of left over frozen items. The fridge is quiet, while running you can hear a low humm, however if there is any kind of ambient noise, you can't hear a thing. This fridge beeps if the door is left open too long, which is great with a husband who likes to make a salad sandwich with the door open. It also has a holiday mode to reduce electricity consumption when we're on holidays. The black finish is easy to care for, just a wipe with a damp chamois and I don't find that finger prints are all that noticeable, despite what I've read in other reviews. All in all, I couldn't recommend this refrigerator more highly.

Customer Care Service was Good – My daughter has the EBE4507SA model fridge/freezer. After a few years the fridge handle came off and they have been using without a handle for a few years now. It appears you cannot buy clips to replace on the handle and you are required to buy both the fridge handle and freezer handle which come in a kit and the price is quite considerable. I… Read more

reached out to Electrolux Customer Care who were very helpful - I must admit. The fridge is well out of warranty now but they were able to assist, much to my surprise. It appears that some of these fridges have issues with the handles but other than that there have been no other issues over the years of ownership. I just wanted to give a complimentary shout out to the Customer Care folks.

Excellent fridge with one flaw – Excellent fridge: it’s appearance, effectiveness, and the layout of shelves with two crispers. Sadly, shelves and crispers are so difficult to remove and replace for cleaning. It’s the only flaw. Show details

produce. The freezer has two deep drawers and one shallow drawer particularly useful to store flat packets of frozen pastry etc. I find the ice cube dispenser a great addition easy to fill and fit, it slides into place with a container underneath. One twist and the ice cubes drop into the container ready for use no mess or struggle involved. Very energy efficient too.

Terrible. Developed a noise at less than six months – Have had fridge for six months, makes a rattling sound that is audible at all hours. Because of the low frequency I can actually hear it while trying to sleep. Pedestals are broken – We bought the fridge a few years ago, the pedestals broken, to replace them, there are not available, and have to buy handlers as well, which cost over $200 for 2 X replacement. The handlers are still in perfect condition. What waste!

Crap. Might as well pay another AUD2000 to get food poisoning – 2 months post buying this fridge, an Electrolux technician said this model fridge component breaks down which is normal for it. only that, we have lost nearly AUD1000 for thrown out groceries like milk, cheese, meat and fresh produce. Electrolux said they cannot guarantee the new replacement fridge will be better but they hope it could be a better batch. The phone call and schedule of any service from them take ages. Highly recommended if you want this model of fridge, you should provision another AUD1000 for medical bills, fresh food and take-outs while the fridge does not work after 2 months.

Nice looking fridge BUT – Good looking fridges. We purchased two and have them side-by-side with a connector kit. Good points: - runs quite - fridge and freezer drawers are smooth. - lighting in the fridge is great Bad points: - can’t level fridges correctly as they lean back too much - fridge shelves appear flimsy. Put a casserole dish and looks like it will cave in. Bend is pronounced.  Show details

Fantastic Electrolux Bottom Mount Fridge – Having downsized had to purchase a new fridge. Having previously owned the larger Electrolux Bottom Mount fridge & have been extremely happy with it for 8 years, unfortunately would not fit the space in my new home. I decided again on the Electrolux as interior well thought out & one of the cheapest fridges to run.

A very good fridge, very happy with it – Electrolux EBE4507SA Bought from Harvey Norman with a cashback offer. Pros 1. It has good solid drawers with proper sliders, so the drawers slide in and out smoothly and easily, unlike all the other fridges in the same price range that I looked at. 2. The fridge door shelves are lined with silicone mats on the bottom, so things don’t move around… Read more

when opening and shutting the fridge door. They also make it very easy to clean. 3. The freezer has three pull out drawers, again with proper sliders, much better than just an open space like in some fridges. 4. Food lasts a long time in this fridge. 4. It uses very little electricity. 5. The lighting in the fridge is excellent.

Cons 1. After you close the fridge door its locks up for almost a minute as it repressurises (like some chest freezers). I've found though that if it's locked and you want to open the fridge door again, open and close the freezer door, then it releases the fridge door. This only works once though, then you have to wait another 50 seconds! It does teach you to plan ahead! 2. While it's not noisy, at times there is a constant hum, which can be noticeable, especially at night.

Nice design but very loud – I really like the design of the fridge, nice lighting excellent cooling, nice sliding fridge drawers and chiller and a good amount of space. Interior fridge parts not solidly built, and constant humming noise of fridge fan is a distraction – In the showroom, the fridge appears to be well designed and feels solid. operating the fridge circulating fan makes a humming noise about 60-80% of the time which proves very distracting given that we live in a unit with a lounge kitchen area. When the compressor comes on after the door has been opened it is even noisier. Am surprised that the fridge is so loud given the low efficiency rating and higher cost than comparable brands.
