Would buy again, very good fridge! – Positives: Good size for a family of 4 Looks great, brushed steel easy to keep clean and doesn't show fingerprints Heaps of room for vegetables Separate seafood drawer to keep smells out of rest of fridge (or we use as a deli drawer) Pretty quiet, only notice the motor occasionally when it kicks in Love the fridge up the top with freezer… Read more

Easy to keep clean, glass shelves wipe easily, drawers easily removed
Freezer has ice section where you can fill the trays then turn them into a dispensing section so you can have plenty of ice on hand
Freezer has 3 drawers which makes for easy organising and can get to everything quickly
Negatives:
Get a bit of mould in the freezer seal, but easy to wipe off
We like to cook in bulk and freeze heaps of meals, so the freezer isn't big enough for our needs. This was not a problem for us though as we have a separate upright freezer as well
Freezer handle not glued on well and likes to come off in your hand. No biggy, really, usually just results in laughter at Mum's expense
Seafood drawer cracked at rear when son didn't close drawer before slamming fridge door. Lesson learned
Overall:
Great fridge, issues are small. Keeps food cold, would definitely buy again. Had this one for 9 years, still going great.
My fridge bought Oct 2013/ review Oct 2016 – I am using this fridge for two people, but would suit up to four comfortably. My habits mean I over stock food a bit, in the freezer. I would happily buy another if one my children end up with this one. Would also like to give Appliances Online a plug for great service and price. fridge has plenty of room and the shelves are easily fine tuned for the individual
Freezer is a good size though I always want a bigger one
Ice drawer is great, although I don't use it for ice
Easy to clean
Cons
Have found this fridge louder than anticipated
Am always worried, I may break the freezer drawer slides, when replacing the freezer drawers after cleaning
The fridge draw depth is a little too thin, so many things don't fit. Even if it was just 1- 2 cm deeper it would be much more functional
I have found the ice cream can be softer sometimes, but ALL other things have always stayed rock hard in the freezer. Have never had any worries with the fridge compartment. Having said that, with the last fridge, (also bought from Appliances Online) they organised a "Fridgee" almost instantly I had an issue
Be aware of it's size in rental places as they generally have small fridge spaces
Great fridge but – I bought this fridge as part of my kitchen refurbishment. Love the bottom mount freezer. The split shelf is a good idea although doesn't seem to hold weight as well as other shelves. Love the fruit/vegetable bin - easily fits a bunch of celery. Not too sure about the chicken/fish drawer - it certainly wouldn't hold a whole chicken. Have had no… Read more
problem with cleaning - a simple wipe with warm soapy water is all that's required. It doesn't seem to be noisy - occasional "digestion" sounds.
The ice cube tray doesn't have a stopper and has fallen out - it is now broken. I emailed Electrolux who basically told me the part number and how much it would cost. Not especially helpful, since it's a design flaw. I have no need for a fancy ice cube tray or the space sucking bin that fits into the freezer drawer below it. I don't use either of them. It would be much more practical to have a narrow drawer that runs the width of the freezer - you could easily put an ice cube tray or two in there. I have since noticed a crack in the bottom of one of the door shelves. These shelves are supposedly designed for drinks, milk etc. Why then do they not appear to be capable of holding their weight?

Its made in Australia and its awesome. thats it – We as a country don't make many things anymore as our governments have sold us out. This unit is high quality, attractive and long lasting. I would definitely recommend Electrolux appliances to anyone smart enough to buy Australian made. Show details
Great fridge! I’ve had it for over 5 years and it works like new – This has been a great fridge for my family for the past 5 years. It has Plenty of storage space and compartments for everting. Shelves are nice and wide and best of all you can easily adjust the height of the shelves. Great design! Show details
A great fridge – The Electrolux fridge is not only a good looking fridge but it's extremely functional. It has plenty of space for storage, especially for bigger items which some fridges fail to accommodate for. It has lost of special storage spaces for the essentials such as meat, eggs, veg and wine! And the ice maker is easy to use. Show details
Fantastic product! – The internal design makes it super fast and easy to clean. Not only is it by far the quietest fridge I have ever owned, it's also the coldest and most reliable. Fantastically cold in the steaming Aussie summer heat, keeps drinks ice cold even with the kids opening the door all day long. Show details
very happy with this fridge – We are very satisfied with our Electrolux EBM4300SDR which has been going strong without skipping a beat since we bought it in Sep 2015. It's a great looking fridge, runs pretty quiet, doesn't suck a huge amount of power and keeps veggies and perishables fresh for a respectable amount of time (5-7 days depending on quality of produce). exactly what it's supposed to and is very reliable. It is also a pretty good looking fridge and well made.
Everything is easy to store and access and unlike some reviewers (each to their own!) we actually love the generous amount of space devoted to ice as we use a lot of it.
Pro tip- be careful placing heavy objects (like big glass bottles- i.e. VOSS brand) in the door shelves, if you drop it you might smash the shelf. This happened to us and even though it was totally our fault, Electrolux replaced the shelf without any issue. Can't fault their service.
Wish I paid more for a better design – It probably works okay for a fridge. I say okay because things freeze at the rear i the fridge. But the design of the shelving is irritating. Standard sizes of common house hold items do not fit. Only 1 litre cardboard cartons of milk fit on the top shelf, the door compartments are flimsy, (half broke) and restrictive. The freezer compartment is… Read more
tiny and heaps of the space is devoted to an ice cube maker ( which is partly removable). I bought this model because it had the best star rating, so that is good, but next time i need a fridge i will take empty containers with me and check that they fit in the shelves in a logical place.
Great fridge/freezer combo – The fridge holds the temp very low at all times, is very quiet and energy efficient. The shelving is easily removable and this makes it very easy to clean. It is a stylish looking fridge/ freezer combo. I have never had any issues with it and hopefully it will just keep running forever. Highly recommend. Show details
Love this fridge – Such a great fridge, love the bottom freezer and all the removable shelves and drawers which makes it easy to keep clean. Also they make organisation in my fridge neat, convienent and fresh. I live the whole look of this fridge and it keeps food at optimal temperature. 5 stars. Show details
Hoping – Uh oh...fridge just stopped working. Only 3 years old. Been ok up til now.....hoping it's not an expensive fix or we won't be happy. Like the freezer at the bottom, not stacks of room in the fridge, but not having a fridge is worse. :( Will be posting with an outcome! Show details

Lasted 2 yrs 11 month :( – Bought this model from a good retailer (full price - not a factory second or anything). Worked normally for 2 years 11 months. Now making a buzzing noise, and the freezer is defrosting - day before New Years Eve! Totally unhappy. I would expect Electrolux products to last more than 2 yrs 11 months. Show details

Mostly happy with fridge but – Generally I have had no problems with this product. It looks great and has been doing its job... until recently. It's been getting a little noisier and just in the last few days it stopped cooling altogether - both the fridge and freezer. I have had this fridge for just over 5 years, so it's out of warranty but I have a technician from Electrolux coming to check it out tomorrow. Let's hope it's a quick fix and not too costly!!! Looks good, quiet and it works beautifully – Great looking fridge, works perfect, love the freezer at the bottom. The only problem I had was trying to unwind the feet so the fridge was evenly balanced and tilting slightly backwards (if I tilted the fridge backwards it wobbled, maybe my floor is uneven!). Good price on sale but $50 delivery cost and I think it was $20 to unpack and set it up so I did that. Show details
Almost a really good fridge – Bought this fridge in 2012 and it is *almost* really good: + Looks good + Interior layout is good + Things stay cold + While not super quiet it's certainly not noticeably noisy (at least not in our house) but: - Freezer door does not seal across the top properly! It's a shame because without that one problem it would be a really good locally made fridge... which of course it's not because it's actually a ~$1600 fridge that doesn't even seal properly.

Absolutely love this Fridge – Love this fridge and it isn't loud at all. My kitchen's fluorescent kitchen makes more noise than this fridge. I chose this fridge because the layout and space inside is very well-designed. of my fridge are near empty. I keep the top shelf for just pots, pans and left-overs; with the two other shelves for jars and anything else.
I'll never, ever go back to a top-mount fridge. My previous fridge was a white 320 litre top-mount fridge with no special features. Food had to be stacked on top of each other, causing collapsing walls of food when I had to pull something from the bottom; I'd bend to the ground constantly to take out anything fresh from the vegetable crisper; and food would rot because it's hard to see inside. Now I don't have these problems.
Problems I saw with other fridges they couldn't store enough eggs (in Asian countries people might buy 6 eggs but not here), the meat and/or dairy compartments took up too much room (meat doesn't last long in a fridge so it doesn't make sense to store large quantities, and how much butter and cheese do people need store?), and vegetable crispers were either too small or divided in two (so you can't fit in store celery, spring onions etc.)
I'm glad I found this site only after buying it because I wouldn't have bought it because of noise complaints. But mine's completely quiet. The stainless steel door means it'll keep looking new for years unlike traditional white fridges which get dark and can't be cleaned new.
Went well until it almost killed our small child – Purchased this fridge probably around eight years ago. It's been reasonably solid, although the plastic crisper drawer has been gradually disintegrating over the past few years to the point where it only slides in and out under severe duress. It can also be quite loud and two years ago it started making a funny rattlesnake noise from time to time… Read more
- not sure what that's all about. Then today, without any warning whatsoever when I opened the fridge door using normal force (I'm a 55kg female, not a WWF wrestler) both the fridge and freezer doors and all their contents just fell onto the floor. You can imagine my shock. Thanking God my 2 year old stepped out of the fallout zone seconds before. Guess what I'll be doing tomorrow? It won't be an Electrolux.

Very happy – I've had this fridge for 3 years and it's been great. Not at all noisy and we haven't had any issues at all. It has plenty of room and easy to keep clean. I'm pleased with the roller functions of the draw and the crisp tray is great. Happy to recommend.
Unbelievably noisy! – Fridge has been delivered this afternoon( EBM4300sd-I purchased it last night) but I already want rid of that - it's so noisy!!! Plus every time you trying to open a door it's moving forward. So you need to hold a fridge in a way to stop it! How good it is!

Stylish fridge with good features – I selected this fridge after looking at many: Good looks, good internal layout, the deli drawer (which is great for storing cheese, cold meats, etc), and, in particular, the one, easy-slide-out fruit/veg drawer. This was the clincher for me. It seems more space effective than having two separate drawers, fits lots more in, and fits in long items such as leeks and celery. Freezer well designed too. Show reply

Noisy - makes you want to not come home – For an alleged premium product with a price tag to match, I should have just bought an esky, daily ice and a noise maker, the outcome would be the same - cold food and constant noise, except I would have saved a bundle. I barely use the fridge, and the fan or compressor kicks in after 15 minutes of blissful silence, and stays on long enough to drive you insane. I live in an open plan house, forget about trying to relax with this beast droning on.

At the end of my tether – Do not buy this disaster of a fridge. Please note that I use the term ‘fridge’ very loosely here, given that it now fails to even perform the basic function of keeping food cold. pleasure lately thanks to the horrors that this corporation continues to manufacture.)
The first inkling of what was to come began the very day that this apparently ‘top quality’ stainless steel fridge was delivered to our house – with two not insignificant dents on the front panel. But not being one for nit-picking, I thought, ‘Fair enough, we can live with that.’
Well, it turns out we can’t bloody live with this refrigerator any longer. For the past two years, my family and I have endured more humming and popping noises than any human being should have to endure. Yes, earplugs might be a temporary fix, but I did not pay nigh on $2000 so that any communication that we do have has to be in the form of shouting. It makes me wonder whether the entirety of Electrolux’s quality control department is deaf, it really does.
Anyway, the last straw was when just three months out of its two-year warranty, we came home to a putrid smell. Yes, you guessed it: the thing had stopped operating completely – apart from the freezer of course, which was so iced up with frost that we couldn’t even open the compartment, let alone defrost any of the products. Our only option was to dispose of $200 worth of groceries purchased just the day before, and contact Electrolux’s customer service.
The operator was rude and indifferent, stating that we were out of warranty and that we could always buy the next latest and greatest Electrolux model – or, alternatively, get a technician for a few hundred dollars, not including the cost of parts. We were offered neither a refund nor a replacement.
All I can say is – Not Happy Jan.
They ain’t what they used to be, that’s for sure. Planned obsolescence seems to be the only guarantee.

The noise! – We bought our fridge just under a year ago. The noise is so much worse than its reliable 15 yr old predecessor. What the ?? YOU would think that with modern technology why would fridges be more noiser today than fridges of yesteryear. I am embarrassed by my husband, as he reminders me daily of how much he hates the fridge and the loud motor noise running in our kitchen, drives him crazy, telling me what a mistake buying the Electrolux fridge was, we should of gone with his choice of either Samsung or Westinghouse. NO! it sounds like an old vibrating bathroom exhaust fan or an old brown in wall air conditioner when the circulation fan kicks in (thats 30-40mins of an hour) to push the cold air around the fridge. Contacted Electrolux and really the customer service was excellent considering noise is subjective had a technician out ,again good human service - checked everything , he replaced the fan motor, after a while fridge 3 hours seemed noisier than before , called out again and replaced the fan motor again (new type)- but its still noisy but that seems to be it operating noise level.
I'm just disappointed - i think upside down fridges have to push cold air up to the fridge and so it need more of an effort but it seems to vibrate the plastics lining in doing so
I wish i never got it but have to live with it, sounds bad but i wish it would die outside warranty so i could buy a different brand.
other than that the design is really good, love the fridge door that hold all the little jars, door handle, glass shelves that your beer bottle don't topple over, haven't used the split shelf and the drawer glide out well. - funny i wasn't going to put anything but as you can see it just pours out - apologies for the rant but the noise is real - dont use it in open plan like we have. Clean design, good use of space inside glass shelves Noisy
1 year old Fridge stops working, food all goes bad and have to wait 2 days for someone to come!!! – We brought an Electrolux Fridge thinking an Australian brand will mean good quality and great customer service..... sorry but nobody will be coming until the next day, after explaining I have a young baby and need a fridge they seemed annoyed sorry but the technican only comes to my town on a Thursday (too bad if it had happened on a Friday?). What else could we do but wait? I had to stay home all day as they couldn't tell me a time. When he arrived he was there for 5 mins said oh the fan just stopped working so couldn't cool the fridge and then said it should be working properly and be cool by the next morning (another day without a
fridge!!)
I rang Electrolux when he left and explained my annoyance at delay, food loss and money loss! A family on one wage and young baby living without a fridge and throwing a whole lot of meat, vegetables, condiments, cheeses, milk and so on. The lady said sorry only freezer breakages may supply a food spillage and only small!! I explained I had an extended warranty with the purchaser who would cover food loss but because my fridge was still so new that warranty hadn't come into place and it was only Electrolux we could deal with. She simply just said sorry nothing can done because it was your fridge not freezer! So in other words because Electrolux make faulty products that break after a year and in our case we were just unfortunate it was only our 'fridge' so nobody cares at all!!
Electrolux fridges are not good quality nor is the customer service. Long story I know but I would never buy or recommend Electrolux to anyone, you are actually better off buying a international fridge - they will last longer and care more! I wonder how long it will be until our fridge breaks again - I have no trust it will make it another year!!

Adelaide. Same part replaced. (Central Electronic Panel) worked for 2 days & broke down again. After 2 service calls & $134 call out fee it is still not working & technician said there was nothing further he could do to fix it. This is after 3 lots of fresh food & veg having to be thrown out. He suggested maybe we could come to some arrangement with Electrolux to purchase a whole new fridge???? What the???? How can a company produce an item that lasts 2 years and then is unrepairable???? All we want is our fridge fixed & to not have to spend another $1600 on a new one, which, if it's an Electrolux, we could be facing the same problems again.
Update:
We would like to thank Electrolux very much for their solving of our problem with our fridge. Sooo happy with my choice – I bought this fridge at the end of february - a month ago. I am sooo happy with my choice! Ok, so i did much online research before purchasing my fridge and feel obligated to write a review to repay the time/effort put in by other online reviewers. reviews of fridges were frankly depressing; all fridges had many negatives! So i settled on electrolux as being the best of a bad bunch - but read on and find out that this is not so!
The 4300sd came onto the market late in 2013 and it's a winner as far as i can see. May seem that i'm a bit too exuberant but i'm so annoyed at all those nit-picky reviews that make it so hard to choose that i decided i'm going to detail all my likes so you can make a totally informed choice - and no, i don't work for a retailer or manufacturer or electrolux; i work in adminstration in the education sector.
What i love:
It's quiet.
Envy - friends & family have commented that they're jealous! Even my nephew (he who usually only grunts) said he was "jel"!!
Exterior - the exterior appearance - slight rounding of the stainless steel doors & led display that only lights up when the door is opened.
The door handles - who'd have thought these would be something to rave about! But grabbing the sturdy handle which has plenty of clearance means you're not touching or marking the actual door; much easier to clean a handle rather than the whole door. I've even had comments from others about the lovely 'feel' of the handles!
Lighting - interior lighting shines on each shelf - easy to locate stuff.
Shelving the two shelves that slide back under themselves to create extra height.
Crisper - the single crisper - no more of those annoying tiny 2-part crispers like in my 19 yo fisher & paykel upside down fridge. Also, the crisper is made of very clear see-through plastic and sits under a see-through glass shelf making it much easier to view the contents before even opening the crisper.
Door shelves - the clear plastic door shelves - you can see everything that's inside them. Love the (wine) bottle holder in the bottom shelf - it's being used all the time! And the covered plastic shelves (butter, cheese etc) at the top of the fridge door - they are fairly deep & so things don't tumble out when you open them.
The ice cube trays - another who'd have thunk it moment! Twist the 3 conjoined trays & drop the ice into the bucket. Oh and the ice bucket doesn't extend the whole depth of the top freezer drawer so still some storage room behind it. Filling the trays is so easy & no-mess - my brother has one of the fancy fridges that makes ice & even he was impressed with the ingenious simplicity. And, unlike the expensive ice-cube making fridges, i don't imaging a lot can go wrong with these trays.
Freezer drawers - the soft-closing freezer drawers - could watch them slide in by themselves all day long! :) the small freezer drawer next to the ice cube trays are perfect for holding your frozen puff pastry - a great idea.
Like i said at the beginning, i was so fed up with all the negative reviews on pretty much all fridges that i've endeavored, possibly as a form of revenge, to list all my likes in this review :p and truly there are, so far, no dislikes!
When I bought the fridge I thought I was in line for a price rebate advertised on the Electrolux website - but I was mistaken because, as I found out after my purchase, you had to have a voucher that was only available from some Sydney "expo" that went on for a couple of months, and, since I'm in Adelaide I missed out. And then I missed out on the next freebie by 2 days but 2 days is 2 days & Electrolux wouldn't budge. The telephone answering person at Electrolux was quite rude about my enquiry after having spent all that money on one of their fridges. That took the shine off my purchase quite a bit.
Very disappointed on my new fridge (under warranty) – I've had this refrigerator for 10 months and the fridge stop cooling twice in 7 days. This is a joke! The pump is making enormous noises (getting on my nerve) for hours after the cooling stopped. Wasted tons of food, lousy warranty services and wasted time. Nothing was fixed last time because they just patched it up. For the second repair… Read more

I will never ever buy any Electrolux products again.

side of your fridge that may be an issue. Also the stainless door finish will show even the slightest imperfection. The biggest issue we have by far is the noise. It's not overwhelming but it is ceratinly noticeable and when both our fridges happen to be on together is a bit loud.
