Not made to last – We bought this cooktop in 2015. Have been happy with it, easy to use, easy to clean, look pretty good . . . but Paint came off all the knobs - had to buy new ones ($88.26) April 2018 Now the ignitors don't work and the Electrolux Repairer advises that the part is no longer available so we now have to buy another Cooktop. Well out of warranty and 7… Read more
years old so has had some use but i would have expected a bit longer of a life and certainly would expect to be still able to buy replacement parts!
Love it, but! – We have had our cooktop for two and half years and we have an ongoing problem with the gas jets. Off and on we have soot build up and uneven flames. We are on LPG and have had 2 different plumbers out to look at it. The first was the installer who changed the size of some of the injectors and then the second one changed them again according to the manual. Still having problem.
Superb – Great unit, looks great, easy to clean, solid, safe and reliable. Run ours on LPG. It just works! Would buy again.
Trivets too heavy for the ceramic glass cooktop – My cooktop is 2 weeks old, and I have used it 6 times as my splash back has only just been installed. The glass is now smashed and beyond repair. Other brands do not have such heavy trivets and I bought from the catalouge so I was unaware this was the case. The trivets are very heavy and accidents do happen - very expensive lesson learnt - don't… Read more

Excellent – At first I was concerned that the glass would scratch and look very ordinary after a few spill and clean ups. So far it has cleaned up great and still looks new. We love the look and design and don't know why other models out there aren't the same design. Overall very happy and would recommend to anyone! Love the look of this unit. Very easy to… Read more · 1
keep clean and cooks very well, easy to control flame and the design helps by allowing you to move pots around without having to lift them off like most gas cooktops. Nothing so far!
Electrolux Gas Cooktop – I love this cook top. The black glass is so easy to keep clean. The stainless steel one that I had previously kept getting scratched from cleaning but this one doesnt have that problem. Its very easy easy to keep it looking fabulous. Plenty of room for multi pot cooking. Easy to clean I find it hard to ignite sometimes but my hubby doesnt have a problem with it.
Parts deteriorate in less than a year – One of the major factors in purchasing this cooktop was the design and look. Unfortunately due to perhaps cheaply made parts which deteriorate in a short time, the cooktop looks like 'secondhand goods'. Closely follow manufacturers care instructions to no avail. Electrolux website is scant on information especially in the Support section. Nice… Read more
looking contemporary design Parts deteriorate, especially th trivets rusting and surface bubbling – Wok burner in particular. Burners clog easily with soot. Had appliance repairer in to fix clogge burners who said Electrolux trivets seem to be replaced quite often due to rusting. I would suggest at they are cheaply made and materials and processes used not suitable to Australian climate..

Good looking cooktop – We changed our old electric cooktop for this model on LPG gas. I must recognise that we went for it because of how it looks. It is a really good looking cooktop. It’s also great that it has a big burner on the middle what is very convenient if you don’t have a very powerful rangehood (as is our case). We’ve just had it for a short while but we are… Read more
really happy with it. We were also looking at induction electric cooktops that give you the same quick response as gas but decided for this one to save in electricity. Also the fact that the induction cooktop cost 2.5 times more weighted on the decision.
The only negative that I see is the cleaning of it. I just read a previous review of someone saying that is really easy to keep clean and was a bit surprised. It is glass and has all the pros and cons that glass normally has. It is relatively easy to clean but as with any other gas cooktop you will have to take it apart to get to the glass on the first place. This is one area on which the new electric cooktops have a big advantage; those have only a flat surface that is easy to clean. This one is similar but to get to the flat surface you will have to disassemble it first (Cast iron things on top of the burners). Looks good! Does what it's supposed to. Cleaning could be a bit of a pain.
Brilliant!!!! – Recently purchased this item for our new house. Absolutely love it as do my children who love to mix it up in the kitchen with me and cannot believe how easy it is to clean...........love, love, love it..... Easy to use, Easy to clean. Looks good!!!! It wasn't free!!!!!
Brilliant – Changed from a stainless steel cooktop and it looks and works brilliantly. Could'nt be happier! Looks sexy, easy to clean, practical, fits a number of large saucepans. Uses improved safety mechanism on ignition prevently gas being left on. No need to pay the huge price on induction cooktops, this is just a good if not better..Just love it!… Read more
Looks great, clean lines, stainless steel edging, easy to clean More expensive than stainless steel, but worth the money.
