Useless – We purchased this a few years ago and its only worked once on the stick and the portable detached unit would only work if you kept pressing the button. You would hold the button down and it would stop so you released the button and pressed again it would go for 10 seconds and stop again. Put it on the charger again and the same thing would happen… Read more

so there it stayed and only used as the detached unit when you needed to pick up something small withing a few seconds before it stopped again. The stand up unit would only turn on the lights but no suction. The most useless Electrolux product ever made. USELESS

Barreries cannot be replaced – This machine is an environmental disaster. After a year the batteries begin to die. They can't be replaced, so whole machine has to be thrown away. I would not recommend anyone to buy this, even though it works well at first. Look for a more environmentally friendly machine and save our planet.  Show details

ZB2943 Lithium 18V, worked great at first but battery run time deteriorated after 6 months, now last – bought at DJ's and worked great at first, very easy to use and and convenient charging station and easy to clean out, I bought the more expensive lithium model but battery run time deteriorated after 6 months and now barely lasts one minute at full speed, good for picking up a few crumbs but that is it. also the front two rubber wheels disintegrated after about a year,  Show details

Great cordless cleaner apart from battery issue – This was my second Ergorapido. The first was a 12V and lasted 2 year before the battery died. Cheaper to buy a new one than replace battery. This time I opted for an 18V for more power. I loved it while it worked, lasted 3 years. Great suction, easy to manouvre. Did a good job of hard surfaces and carpet. Easy to empty and clean. the battery died and I looked into replacing the batteries or the handheld section where the batters are located but was far too expensive. Opted to purchase a new cleaner (different brand).

vacuum keeps turning off while vacuuming – i have a ergo rapido plus ZB2904 which i bought a few years ago and never had any problems, and now, after vacuumning for about 5 mins it will cut out. i used to think it was the battery so i put it back on the charger. then i discovered that if i turned it off and back on again it would start up again and go for another min or two before cutting… Read more

out. the battery indicator shows its still got plenty of charge so i just keep turning it off and back on again continuously which is really annoying but gets the job done. i dont know if it is the battery or if its a faulty on/off switch and i'm reluctant to pay my service technician $60 to find out that i have to spend another $100 or more to fix it when i could just buy a new dyson. has anyone else had the same problem?

Agree with others: battery lets it down – We had a first generation ErgoRapido which lasted about 4 to 5 years, so we decided to buy the next model, a ZB2935. This newer model had a assisted head cleaner which our first one lacked , which was an improvement. Our first erograpido often had problems with the rotating brush becoming clogged with hair and string. We suspect the battery on… Read more

the first one was the source of failure, but went ahead and bought the second gen. one because it seemed like the second one had been improved compared to the first. Whilst the head cleaner is helpful, our second ergo rapido has recently died after (I think) less than 2 years, and the battery is again the suspect. Given that others have said it is expensive to replace, I'm pretty disappointed that this happened AGAIN and even sooner than last time (with less use). Perhaps the head cleaner strains the motor and thus the battery, and then it dies more quickly than a first gen ergorapido. We will be purchasing another brand in the future. This waste is very bad for the environment, so we want to purchase something that will last for 10? years. Twice bitten, no more loyalty from us.

Great product but not so great if you need to replace the battery – I actually loved this vacuum when we bought it in 2012. Light and easy to move around. The battery lasted 3 years and then to replace we had to purchase a new base unit as the battery is housed within. This was $88 which we thought was ok. 3 years later and the same issue has come up and the price is now $129! Roughly a 50% price increase just… Read more

doesn't seem right to me! I know I can buy a series 5 for less than $200 but I prefer to keep the current one and save some extra landfill which should be something Electrolux should be encouraging (I realise this is counter to the business).

From some of the previous comments, it sounded like the newer models have rectified this issue but I'd like to know if a newer battery unit can be used in this modeul or do I have to buy a new one, and if so which model?

Very disappointed – We have purchased two Electrolux Ergorapido and both have not lasted the two years! They are excellent for approximately 12 months and then the battery slowly dies to lasting only a couple of minutes before having to recharge. I think it is time to look at purchasing a different brand!!  Show details

Was excellent while it lasted – This was a great vacuum - while it lasted - looks terrific and I was so happy with mine (which was recommended to me by a friend) that we purchased one for my mother. Both of them didn't even last two years' use - and they were hardly used much as I have two other dysons for the real vacuuming. The battery now lasts about 10 seconds, if that, on… Read more

both. My friend found exactly the same problem. I've enquired about a replacement battery and this is not an option apparently. Better to buy a new vacuum. Would never buy this product again, or be sure to buy one where a replacement battery is an option. What also annoys me, is nothing is made to last any more and all this stuff just ends up as landfill. Disappointing for an Electrolux product.

Terrible I have put its gumtree for free just to get rid of it – The battery doesn't last more than five minutes one year after purchasing. I have persisted with it but so disappointed. I went and bought a Dyson today. I thought by spending 119$ I was saving money. Quickly to confirm you get what you pay for. I see this has been discontinued.... not surprised !  Show details

Wouldn't buy one again – I bought it from JB Hi Fi for around $170.00. I wanted it for my one bed unit and I'm disappointed in it's performance. Ergorapido – Not every happy with the performance being 12 volts i expected it to be better suction. It Is a strong machine though its performance little disappointing. The handheld bit is handy though just first his not worth the cost. Doesn't last long it needs continual charging. Battery needs to be changed it gets to a point you are better off throwing it out. Even though its a great looking machine its performance little disappointing.

Perfect for requirement – This suits our purpose admirably. We have tiled floors throughout with scatter rugs and this machine is simple to use and clean and is efficient at cleaning both tiles and rugs. It was a replacement for an earlier faulty model and has performed without fault to date. Used several times a day.  Show details

Electrolux? - what a disappointment!! – This item was purchased just over a year ago to replace a similar product from another manufacturer (Vax Spirit). The older unit had worked well - and still does - so well in fact that I decided to spend quite a lot more to upgrade to the Electrolux. But what a disappointment! It gets periodic use only - maybe once or twice a fortnight - but after… Read more

only a little over a year, the atrocious battery life renders it just about useless after less than 3 minutes use. The lithium batteries in this unit were a big part of the reason for upgrading - but they (or the charger?) have now failed while the NiCads in the other manufacturers product continue to soldier on.

This could have been a very good product but it is let down by poor quality batteries. The ship spoiled for a ha'porth of tar. Very disappointing. This is not the Electrolux I knew in the past.

holds the handheld vac inside the larger stem has crappy button that wears quickly develops resistance to movibg in or out and wont depress fully so vac wouldnt stay inside stem. Disappointed – Battery life of this product is only 6 months and the design of the hand held vacuum is the wrong way so it doesn't pick up anything. I have Electrolux vacuum cleaners before and have been very happy with them but the Electrolux ergo Rapid (ZB2941) is a big waste of money ☹️

Very convenient and all round great vacuum – We got the lithium ion battery powered one and its been a fantastic vacuum. It's still going strong and we use it almost every day. It works really well. Having said that we have hardwood floors and tiles. It is a struggle to push over carpet and rugs. The battery is just enough for a 2 bedroom house.  Show details

Looks Good; Performs abysmally – This was initially a good purchase, performing to expectations in the first year. Then we experienced all the problems herein expressed by others. Electrolux brand. Disappointing let-down and a brand-breaker! Obviously, given the level, extent and duration of criticisms, this unit has inherent design problems (does Electrolux have an obligation under consumer protection legislation to recall faulty units?). Had we been informed at purchase this was the performance level to expect we would not have purchased. We feel really aggrieved and do not see absolution in a battery replacement with the inevitable return to the above unacceptable cycle of poor performance.

Died after very little usage – I bought this Ergorapido about 3 years back, and have hardly used it (about once a fortnight for 1-2mins at a time). money was worth it, as it would last me a very long time.

A few weeks ago, I went to pick up a small bit of fluff and the machine simply died!! With a full battery (always charged) the machine simply died & now a red light is on where the blue lights normally are.

I'm very disappointed with this product and more so the 'customer care' line, which was completely useless. The advice was that I simply throw the machine out, as the motor/battery unit is just as costly as a brand new unit. As I'm not really keen on spending $300 on another useless tool that breaks down after about 10 uses, I'll probably never buy Electrolux again.

I really wanted a Dyson, but thought Electrolux was a reputable brand (and the girl at Harvey Norman sold me on this item). Next time I'll get the Dyson rather than compromising... Never again. Very disappointed.

Effective 2 and 1 – Love the flexibility of this 2 and 1. Very good value of money. I wish i could continue to buy this model, but the very downside for me is: there is no available round tool/adapter for spacesaver plastic bag! How could the handy tool like this missed that?! Or did i miss anything?

Only good for very light work. Useless for everything else – I bought the Ergorapido ZB29 (18V lithium ion version) because I wanted something easy to use handheld sweeper and also double as vacuum cleaner for those times that I didn't want to pull out the real vacuum. My first impressions when I get the unit home was that it seems to work alright for light work. It worked alright for hardwood floors… Read more

that had some sand or dust on it but sometimes it didn't really get rid of all the dirt on it. For carpets and rugs it didn't really do much except pick up the stuff on the top layer.

The Ergorapido has 2 modes, one full power mode and a lower power mode that allowed for it to run longer. On full power mode, the battery doesn't last very long even when new. It would give me only about 10-15 minutes if I'm lucky. On the lower power mode, it would sometimes give me 35-45 minutes. It also depends on how full the dust trap is. Sucking power is reduced if it's full and the battery dies much quicker. So do empty it out often.

Overall, it has served me well enough for the past 3 years when I just needed to clean up a small area or just do some on-the-go spot dust-busting (which is all it really is, actually).

Besides the bad battery life, my other complaint on this is that the units are not dust sealed very well. If you pick up fine dust or powdery substances, it sometimes escapes through very useless sponge filter. Not great if you have allergies.

After 3 years, the battery now has pretty much completely died and only lasts literally 5 seconds on full power mode. I'm wondering it it's work the cost to replace the battery or just throw it away.

In conclusion, I would have to say that the Electrolux Ergorapido series of 2-in-1 stick vacs are good enough if you go in with the right expectation. It's just a dustbuster with a powered rolling sweeper head.

Perfect – I was looking for an easy to use vacuum to clean the tiled areas of my home on a daily basis rather then getting the big vacuum out. Bought this & have never regretted it. Does an excellent job, is quiet & easy to clean. We had 3 small dogs at the time & it collected all the dog hair with no problems. Thankfully we now only have 1 sm dog that stays!

waste of money and customer service is a joke – This vacuum was amazing when i bought it, the amazement only lasted a month, i used this rarely as a spare when i was in a hurry. They provided me details of a repair shop to take it too. I was… Read more

told that the battery compartment as well as the battery needed replacing and Electrolux would not cover this it would have cost over $160 total to get it fix, even the repair company said to me to ring Electrolux because they thought it was stupid electrolux were not covering this. Confused by this as i was told this product had 2years warranty when i bought it i rang electrolux to be told the compartment is covered but the battery is only covered for 3months (this was never mention to me previously when i did buy it), i don't know why electrolux said the battery compartment was not covered to the repair place and told them i needed to pay for that to also be fixed in the first place.

The lady named [name removed] i was speaking to on the phone talked over me, could not answer my queries properly and when i asked to speak to a supervisor she hang up on me, she did not call me back so clearly she hang up on me on purpose as she would have had all my details in front of her so she could have rang me back. So i rang Electrolux customer service again and ask to speak to a superviser so i can make a complaint, they had me on hold for 15minutes to be told that their was no superviser available who could speak to me, i had to ask him if he can take my details and get a supervisor to call me back. Still no phone call. They are trying to charge me $80 for a new battery- this is under 2years old, rarely used as it was the spare vacuum, very well cared for, and to be told by a sales person this had 2 years warranty to find out the battery has only 3months warranty now- what is 3months warranty on the battery when the vaccum is useless without a battery.

As a spare vacuum rarely used according to ACCC it should match description made by the sales person, and last longer than what it had considering it was a spare and rarely used. This vaccum is a complete waste of money and i defiantly recommend a dyson animal stick as this is a much better improvement and as one of my main vacuums clearly is long lasting. The customer service of electrolux is extremely poor, no help, very rude and you have to do all the chasing around yourself. I myself work / run a call center and never would i tolerate this sort of behavior from one of my team members to a client. Never again will i be buying an electrolux product. Complete fail, complete waste of money, and need extreme improvement on how some of your staff are with customers. Disappointed is an understatement.

Nasty! – Bought this unit as it seemed to go well in store and it did for the first two years or so. Then without warning, one day, it doesn't seem to take a full charge on and won't run at the highest speed. I've asked Doctor Google and it might possibly be the charger not giving out a full charge or the battery. Either way, 2 years of operation is pathetic! I'm ignoring the wife next time and just getting that damn Dyson she wouldn't let me buy.

Absolutely fabulous until the day it simply wont hold a charge.....only 2 years old – 2 years old....fabulous....until the day it stopped holding charge after 2 years......... I was told the lithium battery would last a lot longer than the original battery types......paid more for it......and it conked out......Disgusted and want a replacement with something that will work for a decent lenght of time in accordance with the cost. ....I would suggest at least 7 years.
