Was great. Broke 2.3years – Was a great vacuum but as like many products now days lasted to just out of warranty period. For the $$$ paid I expected more. Purchased November 2019. The first one I got was broken out of the box. Returned then had to drive all over town to get another one to replace it. Now it starts goes and then stops as soon as it hits an obstacle. Do I… Read more
fix it again or just give up. Spare parts are expensive as have already replaced parts and now what to do. I still have an iRobot that is still going after 8 years. I think I will just bite the bullet and spend the extra $$$. At least it will last longer.
Very functional – I’ve worn out two iRobots already and this Electrolux i9 was just the best fit at the time of purchase two years ago. With a new dog and hair shedding the i9 is having to do so much more work than for the past couple of years and it is up to it! Show details · 3
Best robot vacuum cleaner – I have had two previous robot vacuum cleaners. A cheap one that wasn't good and one I bought over 10 years ago which was an LG for $899 which was brilliant but can't get parts for it any more. I had been contemplating getting another over the past few years but couldn't decide what to get . We moved into a new house with a lot of tiles and five… Read more
rooms with carpet. So I decided to look at getting a robot vacuum. I bought the Electrolux i 9.2 at Harvey Norman for $1100 in January 2021. My son set it up for me. I have a dyson I have always used in between cleaning. It has been brilliant it picks up so much hair and dust and I love how it goes under the beds. I have a little inside dog so I would normally vacuum everyday. I have it set up to clean 5 days out of 7. I just can't believe how much it actually picks up. Thankyou so much.
The worst robo-vac ever – Do not waste your time with this robovac. It's functionality is horrible, does not map the house properly, misses areas completely, gets stuck in the most ridiculous places, and does not return to the base to charge most of the time! Show details
Cleans well but doesn't always return to base to recharge – I love the way this cleans and the app has great functions with maps. Works best on hard floors but does cope with dog fur on our carpet. The main issue with it is that it now sometimes stops without returning to the base - this is a new thing since the last app update. It used to send a message to say it was lost but now it just stops. At the… Read more
moment I have actually lost the robot - it has stopped somewhere and is hidden in the house. Programming of time and areas works well.
Constant problems with error codes – So disappointing for such an expensive vacuum. Constant E42 codes and therefore won’t clean. Have had it sent back once already which seemed to fix it for a month but now same problem again. App difficult to use. Wouldn’t recommend Show details
Very impressed – Use on carpet in bedrooms and a rug in lounge and the rest tiles. The Tiles because I have it set on there daily keeps them great and only once every couple of months do I need to sweep or hand vac. The best feature is its camera and avoiding tangles and battery life, going home to charge when it’s flat and starting back where it finished and programmability Show details
Absolutely useless – We have large windows and a very bright and airy home, on top o f a hill on a farm with no blinds in the living area. This vacuum gets very confused by light and will not work at all during the day time. I have waited 2 years for a software upgrade to fix this but many upgrades later it is still the same. spoke to Electrolux yesterday and they… Read more
said "the product guide says that it will not work in bright areas". This it the product guide in the box with the vacuum that you can't read until after you've bought it. In saying all that, it does work well at night, but who wants a vacuum running in the background while you're trying to watch Yellowstone? The whole point of a robot vac is to have the vacuuming done while you're at work, not when you get home and want to relax. My next stop will be Harvey Norman to see if they have any recourse for not telling me that it's useless in daylight. Our $300 LG that we gave away when we bought this does a far better job, any time of day or night.
I wouldn't buy it again – I feel a bit bad sledging 'Bruce' (the App asks you to name your cleaner) as he is now a doddery part of our home. However, his cleaning pattern is completely illogical and often misses exactly the area that you hope he'll cover. He often can't find his way home to charge. The app works well enough. We needed to get our first one replaced pretty… Read more
quickly because the charger failed due to 'pitting' on his charger plates - no explanation of how this happened and initially I was advised to try scrubbing and all sorts of other approaches to remedy it, before being offered a replacement. Electrolux offered pretty good service but for a machine that is more than $1K you wouldn't expect it to fail at all. He's pretty noisy and as time goes on I can see his battery life is diminishing noticeably. I think a cheap and cheerful model would have been better, on hindsight.

Cleans well – Worked well in the beginning, docking station replaced after 12 months then OK. Soon after the robot was making a terrible noise like an electric planer and a lot of dust on and around the robot which was cleaned after every use, Electrolux asked for photo's and the robot was sent back , Electrolux rang back the dust issue caused the motor to… Read more
give up and asked where was the filter, We bought the robot and no filter was supplied which caused the dust to enter the motor and fail the robot, The robot was bought from Bing Lee Warilla. Electrolux did a great job on the robot with a filter installed this time, it cleans better than when new. I find Electrolux 1300 number not so easy to communicate with a problem but the service person who fixed the robot was excellent J & T Fairy Meadow
Rubbish – This was without a doubt the biggest waste of money I've ever perpetrated apon myself. 1. Terrrible issues with the app connectivity , awful software updates that only make the thing more stupid. 2. Useless battery life, if you live in a house it will not clean every room with recharging, then starting up in the middle of the night to wake… Read more
everyone up. 3. It cleans in a pattern that makes no sense, constantly stopping and looking around like a confused pensioner. If it actually used any logic, the battery may actually last long enough to clean a small house. 4. It cant even drive onto a very thin rug.. instead it drives under it and creates more confused for itself . Buy a brand with good reviews instead of taking a chance on this peice of garbage.

Great product – Using it from last 1 year and found it a great product, smart and efficient, works well on most of the hard surfaces except carpet. We use it on bamboo floor and carpets, cleans bamboo floor really well but not carpet as much. Show details
Can't connect – Bought the unit on 01.03.2020 and returned today! Main problem I had was: I could not connect it to my mobile. I followed the instruction to the book, but the unit software kept failing. I called Electrolux, listened to their recorded music for 15min! The technician on the other phone was useless and unhelpful. She blamed it on my internet… Read more
connection, which was perfect. At the end, she asked me to wait so that she could talk to her colleague/supervisor and get back to me. After 4-second waiting, she hang up on me!
I took the unit to JB-HiFi. They were so helpful. They called Electrolux who advised me to go home and she would call me to assist with the connection! What a waste of my time. I opted to have my money refunded.
To be fair, the unit worked well. It did a good job and amazingly it returned to base for charging when it ran out of battery. I just could not program it regarding what time or when/how often to vacuum the floor.
Looking into ProductReview, other people had the same problem. It's a systemic issue with Electrolux software. Lastly, their aftersale support sucks!

Stopped working after 18 months – $1400 for a vacuum cleaner that stopped working after 18 months! Was told that it needed a new battery. 3 months later still waiting for a new battery. Each time I call I get the same response " it's on back order" shocking after sales service - wouldn't recommend Electrolux products! Show details
started out great had the small wheel fell off – it seems not able to find its way home, small wheel has fallen off have rang Electrolux and sending back to service centre was told if housing is broken they are not liable never been dropped see the out come keep u posted when you pay this much for these vacuums you would expect more Show details
Cannot control where you want to start vacuuming – Thought I would be able to request that the vacuum starts cleaning from a specific room. Always starts at home position and if positioned by hand it no longer knows how to find its way home. Cleans very well, my house is small but most of the time vacuuming will stop before doing the full house. Please help! Show details
Solved. Does not connect to cloud – Update: We returned product and only then did Electrolux get involved. They knew already it needed a software update (not mentioned in manual, on-line or anywhere else) so Harvey Norman did this (at our request). It now works very well and cleans with precision. I would suggest Electrolux get onto this issue for what is otherwise a great… Read more · 1

The vacuum itself works fine, but we were upsold at Harvey Norman to this superior model with great features we simply cannot use as it will not properly connect to the cloud (it won't display or acknowledge time). We've been on the Electrolux Forum, but it's vague and unhelpful - the troubleshooting section simply states it will connect so that should be that. We've used 2 different android phones (both connect), we use 2.4 ghz, we've uninstalled and reinstalled from beginning, we've turned everything off and on again etc. etc. Had enough, it should not be this hard with a new and expensive product. Going to return it this weekend as it's really little use to us if it doesn't work properly.
Cleans better then most! Lacks tech features – This vacuum cleans well for a robot vac, it can save you a heap of time. The only downfall with me personally is it can't find home when its low on battery and struggles to find its charging station and then stops somewhere randomly in my house, btw my house is quite large (approx 400sqm under roof lowset) so it can be annoyance looking for it. also have a walk in shower in my main bedroom so without the virtual wall feature it runs the risk of sucking in water (had to use its box as a wall). It can't clean specific zones so everytime i go to start it, it begins in the same area, we would rather it allow us to select certain areas ie if someones coming over and i'm at work we can login and get it to clean the entertainment area only then we are ready to entertain when i get home. The spot clean is designed to clean a small area if my kid drops stuff on the floor, it seemed quicker to get a dust pan and sweep it up. The unit delivers great cleaning no doubt about that, just the tech side lacks compared to others on the market. If you have thin legged furniture it can bang into it.
If you buy one you will love it if tech ain't a big thingy for you and your family.
The tech support and after purchase support from electrolux are second to none and are happy to help when you need it.
worth every cent – First time robot user. I am so happy with the Electrolux Purei9. I use it everyday. we have wooden floorboards. works well on carpet as well. So easy to use, controlled from your phone if you like, suction and cleaning is amazing. Love it. Although its priced higher than many others its worth it. highly recommend. Show details
Out does the rest!! – Bought the Purei9 this week, upgrading from the Miele Scout RX1 and there isn't a comparison. From the suction, to the mapping all controlled from your phone, this vac is exceptional. As we live in a large house, Lux (our name for her) will do as much as she can, go back and charge and come back out to where she left off. What amazes me is what… Read more
it can pick up and does a better job on the carpets than my stick Dyson!
This is at the higher end price wise but worth every cent. I highly recommend
Remarkable vacuum!!! the best I've owned – I bought the Purei9 from a Harvey Norman two weeks ago and I have to say this a a wonderful vacuum! I've owned robot vacs before and its great to how far the navigation technology and actual dust pick up have improved compared my old robot vac purchased 5 years ago. I was truly staggered at the amount of dirt this little beauty pulled from my… Read more
carpets, but more than anything it's the fact this this robot vac is amazingly independent. My old robot would often get stuck under the couch, or would simply run out of battery in some random room. Not the Purei9. So far I've used the app to schedule a daily clean when I'm at work and it has always finished the job and made it back to the charger, meaning I don't have to go looking for it when I get home. More than anything, this means I don't need to vacuum every other day - it's perfect and worth every cent!
Wow! – This vacuum makes my old Dyson barrel look so shabby. I was staggered to see what it collected from our carpet. My wife's hair and our pet's hair filled the container and I even had to empty it half way through the first room. 4 empties later and the first vacuum was complete. Love the App and so easy to use. This product was worth every cent of my hard earned and now I vacuum when I am at work or shopping...remotely! Awesome product.
