Ellerfield Financial Planning

Poorly run company – I've been with Ellerfields after being taken to them by default by my old financial planner. for nearly a year now and have been given the runaround with no review taking place and not returning my calls when I chase them up. I would not recommend this company.

as 10years ago we had purchased insurance products from him. Ellerfield put together for us a Mortgage Reducing Plan, a Savings Plan within our budget and also an Investment strategy was worked out for us and put into place. Ellerfield taught us to stop living from payday to payday. We never imagined we could have investments to help us reach and live our dreams and achieve financial goals along the way to our retirement. We look forward to continuing our relationship with Ellerfield and their dedicated and friendly individual team members. Investment Plan is the most exciting product it has shown growth since commencement.

Not suited to our situation – Ellerfield charges us a fairly hefty upfront fee for their service on the basis that they did not take commissions, and that this freed them from being tied to predefined investment options. investments that they administered on our behalf, which cost me a lot of time to chase up and rectify.

We have moved away from them several months ago, and are currently researching to find another financial planner. I was quick enough to withdraw before we lost any significant money, but upon analysis I believe that if we'd continued to follow their advice, we would not have many assets left by now

I would not say that they are dishonest, but they were certainly not what we needed nor what they presented themselves to be. Generally friendly, seemed knowledgable Bad advice; Multiple fees, commissions and kickbacks that are not obvious and not disclosed.
