DO NOT TOUCH THIS SYSTEM AT ALL. Not go anywhere near the manufacturer - Emerald. Problems from the start. Don’t get me wrong, it heats the water but at nearly double the cost of a normal heat element hot water system. Not 80% savings like it claims. The system is a split system and rated to 0.56kw power consumption. It instead consumes nearly 7 times that with a power consumption of 3.5kw. The system will run randomly for nearly two hours despite not being used. I tried to contact Emerald to discuss without success. First i lodged a ticket on their website which they didn’t answer. Then they started sending me random emails saying that the ticket will be closed if I don’t respond. Despite responding they closed the ticket. So I tried to ring the support hotline, only to get through the recorded message and selection menu to get to a point where it said I had to lodge a ticket on the website. I have contacted the installer who is getting the same run around from the support group. They keep saying they will contact to provide solution then days of no replies.
Still not resolved. Four months later after this review.
Now here we are another two months and they are saying it is a commercial system. That is not what is installed nor is it what the website says about the system. Stay away from Emerald. I am off the NCAT.
