Love the Evo270-1

published

I have had the Evo270-1 operating in our home for 9 months (replacing a gas HWU) and I have never run out of hot water even when filling the spa bath. Never looked back and so glad got rid of the gas HWU.

Very please with our purchase

published

In replacing our gas appliances with energy efficient electrical ones required to run off our solar system, we decided that an Evo270 met our needs for hot water. Our decision to buy the Evo Heat product was based on its ease of operation especially the ability to alter the running time and temperature and other useful parameters using the inbuilt touch screen. Since installation the Evo270 has used very little energy (<2 KWh per day) in our 2-person household.

Neat Install by Speedy Hotwater in Brisbane

published

After we've finally decided to replace a faulty electric hot water system with the EVO 270-I heat pump hot water system we were pleasantly surprised by the good sales support and the very quick installation of the system by Speedy Hot Water Services - the next day. The Installation is very neat. Maintenance has to be done after 5 years according to the plumber. Let's hope the system will last as long as the old system - 16 years.

Purchased in at Speedy Hot Water Services for $3,995.

Reduced electricity usage by half in Winter!

published

So far so good. We installed in the middle of winter and the unit has kept up with our hot water demands so far. Occasionally on really cold nights (0 or below), we have to use the boost, but even with the boost on it uses less electricity than our old Rheem electricity hot water storage unit.

The addition of the wifi adapter has also been very helpful with controlling the modes remotely.

Very happy with this new equipment

published

We've replaced our old gas water heater (which was still working, but we are wanting to get rid of gas altogether) and we are very happy with this choice.

This unit is quiet and performs well, and we have set it to run between 9-16 so that it can run on solar electricity - it stays hot until the next morning.

I love saving energy and this product does just that while delivering the same quality of hot water. So easy to control, and I can operate the pump from 9am to 3pm making use of my solar power while the family can have a hot water show in the evening or morning

Excellent heat pump hot water

published

Replaced a very tired Rheem 250L hot water system with the EVO270-1. Had great service from Speedy Hot Water in Brisbane. Rapid drop in power usage to heat water. We’ve set a schedule on the unit’s controller to only use power during the day when our solar is active. Lots of features and easy to use panel. Good amount of water for a 6 person house.

Purchased in for $3,990.

Working Well with our Solar Panels

published

We replaced our old gas storage HWS with an EVO270. It's been about 2 months now and we are very happy with our purchase. The unit is working well with our solar panels - I use the timer function, to ensure it operates during the day when we are normally producing power. We have had some issues with the App, where it didn't quite calibrate some changes with the unit. I rang to get some help and the technical support was fantastic and ran me through everything. They even recommended a few other tweaks.

I don’t know what the rate is but it is normal for the unit to lose water while it is operating - I divert it with a pvc pipe into the garden. Contact evo for a better answer.

Our one is set at 60. I have seen max of 62.5 achieved with electric booster.

We are in Qld, ours was set to 60 degrees and it is very hot, I have reset it to 55 degrees, perfect now.. As previous reply from Martin said it is probably your tampering valve causing the problem.

Hello
we have a EVO 270. And we are seeing spikes in our power usage from 12am to 3am at least once per week, usually on a Tuesday (although this past week it happened on Friday) would there be some unknown setting the heat pump is set out to start going on at this time of day? We only have the heat pump to turn on in the morning at 10am during the winter time, and earlier in the summer. Please let me know
Thanks

Thank you, we did consult the manual but it was very confusing. I called the technical support today, and they helped me change the time of day the heat pump is set to go on for this function.
Thank you
